The fact that the Soundcraft UI24R has an HDMI interface along with the USB connector for the mouse is incredible for the price! Plus, it has a USB connection for the computer to use as an audio interface that cheaper models do not have. Thank you very much for the awesome video!

Thanks for the comment and for subscribing to the channel! I use the UI24 every single week doing these videos.....and here we are 4 years strong now and not a single issue. Granted, thats not the same as using it at a smoky bar, or at some outdoor venue where you can really test the limits and resiliency of a piece of electronics, but as for me, this mixer is the berries!

I’m a little confused as to the use of the compressor on your mic channel. There is no compression being administered. IE no gain reduction at all. It appears only to be an additional gain boost by using the “make up” gain.

Thanks for your comment Jason! It is light, and the signal is low, but in a situation/demo like this we had to move along quickly. I appreciate you picking up on this though!

have you any idea how do ui24 stacks up against behringer and Midas?

Thanks for the comment and for subscribing to the channel! As far as a comparison to Behringer products (Midas is just rebranded Behringer now, not the legendary company of years past) There is a lot to say. First off, you get little to zero tech support with Behringer as they have no retail outlets or service centers anymore. That means no 'after the sale' support. Additionally, Behringer is more of a knock-off company these days versus innovating and crafting new products like Soundcraft and other great brands like them. The biggest advantage for the every day guy with the soundcraft is the fact that no downloads are necessary to use the product. The biggest issue customers seem to have with these wireless connection mixers are software issues involving the control app...as the Ui series doesnt require an app, they are easier to get started with. Ive owned and used both, and honestly LOVE the soundcraft. Sounds great, easy to use and understand, and a great company with plenty of service after the sale.

How reliable are these mixers? I’ve heard many stories about disconnections and having noise among other things.

Thanks for commenting and subscribing! Ive used the Ui24 a minimum of twice a week, every week for over 3 years now and have had no problems. As a shop, we have the same experience with every one weve sold. 100% of the issues that our shop has experienced from customers have either been a simple hard reset (unplugging, waiting 60 seconds, and plugging it back in) or expecting the WiFi to work beyond its means. Weve seriously had people have the mixer on stage, then walk 50-75 feet away thinking they would 'sound check' and get frustrated that the connection dropped. Heck, powerful aftermarket WiFi routers dont have that kind of range. Seriously though, its very reliable, and one of the best mixers weve ever sold.
