    Thanks for the presentation. I wanted to note that you might be able to skip having the small format touchscreen (and still keep reliable connectivity via ethernet cable) if you have a tablet. You can get an inexpensive powered ethernet adapter cable for your tablet, which plugs into the power recharger/data port on the bottom of the tablet, and then has connections to your power cable for constant tablet recharging, and also has an ethernet output. You can then hard wire your tablet via this adapter into your external router (or the ethernet input of the Ui) via cat-5 cable. Even if the wifi drops out, you are still hard-wired in to the Ui.

    Harold Christian from Norfolk Va. Good Evening Pete,
    Great Session, I have the UI24 as well for my seven pc. Band. I play sax and own all the sound equipment. I've had this mixer now almost 3 yrs. and love it. Hook my JBL SRX 800 Series speakers up to it and it sounds amazing. Can't wait to try the Soundcraft SI impact and catch more of your sessions. Thanks a million.

    thanks for the webinar. I learned so much about the mixer. I brought one last month but still early stage of learning. Does ui24R support USB 3.0 and what disk format will work with ui24R (NTFS or FAT32)? Do you have any recommendations for the USB thumb drive

    Hello Pete, excellent video! I have a question for you. I have the UI24R. Around the 45:35 mark of your video, you’re covering settings and mention the big desktop mode. I don’t have it enabled, I connect over Wi-Fi with a MacBook. However, somehow I’ve got a similar view as you show at 46:16. My question is how do you exit this view and return to the default Mix view shown at 27:07?
    Thank you so much!
    Roy

    I just bought the ui24. Does it have some of the features in the dbx drive rack? Or should i still use the drive rack. Both have AFS. Same company Harmon. Thanks.

    Question: Say i wanted to apply a permanent corrective EQ to flatten a PA system, is there way to do this without then losing the master EQ? Ideally would love to flatten the PA using corrective EQ and then have a completely fresh separate full band EQ to then start working with for enhancing the sound of the band.. is that at all possible with the UI24? thanks

    so I revisit this to learn about how the UI24r connects because I had no issues with it before 4 options and NONE of them are working, these issues are coming up more and more as the unit ages, bad Electronics ? Danny Olesh I heard made a replacement board to solve this issue I think, Can't find the link anywhere, At least I get sound but now NO CONTROL, at first unplugging the power cord worked, Doesn't help anymore. grrrrrr

    Can I get more details on the portable touchscreen, please? Can’t find one on Amazon with USB and HDMI - most say they are for Raspberry Pi etc but they don’t seem to have the right ports.

    You forgot to mention the most important function of live mixing . ?.. How to set the input gain on each channel how to properly set it in regards to peaking values wth

    • @pete3816
      @pete3816 ปีที่แล้ว

      31:30 - he definitely does show you how to set gain! Sure, he doesn’t give details on how to properly set gain without peaking… but this isn’t an audio engineering seminar, it’s a user seminar for the UI24R. If you don’t know how to set gain properly, you probably shouldn’t be using a mixer for live PA work and an audience!

    Picture at 21 minutes is faulty - you have no two ethernet connections for WAP and Mini PC !!

    • @pete3816
      @pete3816 ปีที่แล้ว

      He addresses that very point by telling you that the WAP then becomes and ROUTER, enabling another connection. Open your ears.

      @@pete3816 Open your eyes!!
      I didn't write what you say there, but what you drew.
      This picture is faulty.
      You can use ONE Ethernet-Connection on UI24R !!!
      If you connect there a router .. you have to switch the CAT-5 connection in picture from MINI PC to one router Ethernet port (multiple ethernet ports).
      There are definitely not two CAT-5 connections like in the picture to the UI24R mixer !!
      You encourage users to use the 'second Ethernet' port, which is only used for audio transmission with two connected UI24R mixers !!!
