Hi everyone! Rio's paws are just fine. :) She never showed signs of frostbite (as you saw I checked them constantly), and the bag balm lotion I applied worked great throughout the day. At the time I could not leave camp to buy booties for her, but I assure you she is happy, healthy, still very spoiled, and will have booties next time. Thank you for all the love and concern for Rio. 🐾
Rio is your baby. I had no doubt you were taking care of her. She’s your princess and a very beautiful soul. I mentioned boots for future. I hope I did not come off judging. I did not mean it like that. I am so happy for your new journey and look forward to see where your going and your thoughts. Good vibes your way honey! Much love!! ❤️🦋❤️🦋❤️
Good people are few and far in between but when i find them i always dance in the stars with them. Sometimes we just take that leap of faith and if it doesn't work out your home has wheels but don't forget to take your respect off of the table on your way out.
Alot of times in extreme cold the normal moisture in the air freezes. 🥶 This makes for a very dry condition. So lips and even animal paws can get dried and chapped. Another sign of this condition is lots of static electricity. ⚡️
@REGRETLYSS. Your furbaby is adorable & seems like she loves that snow! Have you ever tried doggie snow boats? Soft on the inside & waterproof on the outside, she may take a bit to get used to them however they work wonders & are great for snow & also salt used for concrete/asphalt to keep it from being slippery! The salt is definitely terrible for their paws & the doggie boots w/definitely help Rio in the snow! I'm a new sub, 1st time watching your video, you should be a writer & I just love your description of your journey, in your own words, Beautiful, best wishes, stay safe! 👍❤️🙏
As a senior now (68) as I watched this I have many regrets of not doing the things I should have done, life is too short to stay stressed all the time, my advice it don’t get caught up in all the glittering things of this world, it’s only temporary and will fade away leaving you empty. Live life simple as you can, look to God and find peace with him and never look back.
There’s so many folks asking why in the world Lyssa chose to go somewhere cold and snowy… some of us actually like the cold, thrive in winter, thrill in the snow. I used to live where she went right after finishing the build. It’s the highest incorporated town in the mainland US and I’m glad I had that experience. What speaks to each of our souls is different and lovely and isn’t that just wonderful?
So true. I thrive in the cold. I can’t cope in the summer. As the other commenter noted, the beauty of Lyssa’s situation is that she can simply move places if she wants. How wonderful!
@@amybecker9108 I'd prefer cold weather over hot and humid weather every single day of the year. There's no day worse than those in which I constantly sweat and struggle just to breathe. Give me cold, crisp, refreshing air to breathe any time.
A quick note about the Tin used for your Coffee Beans @5:20 if I may. I am 57, but my Biological parents divorced when I was 5. My father quickly remarried to a woman who hated anything to do w/ his previous marriage...including me. She beat me and locked me in the attic (in Fla.) and as it became apparent to him, he quickly took me to NC where my mother, who had also recently remarried was settling in. I was only in Florida while they were moving from Colorado, and I was only suppose to be there for an extended visit while they moved (hold on...almost there) I was pretty shell shocked, and really didn't know if anyone really wanted me, and for the first day or two I would go out to play but returned every 15 min. or so to see if mom was still there...and she would give me a shortbread cookie out of an EXACT replica of your tin. Eventually (as my mother told for years) I would stay out a little longer each time, and soon was comfortable enough to realize that I was finally home...finally wanted. And thru-out my life she would tell this story with an ending of: It was a good thing that I finally became comfortable because the cookies had just ran out. Sorry so long, but when I was clicking around, and found this video....when I saw that Tin... I wept. Thank you, and God Bless 🙂
Awww, what a touching story! I'm so happy you learned that you belonged and were wanted. Abandonment is tough to work through, but your mom gave you the security you needed.❤I think this was a great place to share your reflection. 😊🙏🏽
21:13 she is such a good mama to Rio! You can tell, she really loves this dog and takes such good care of her. LOVE this video. Glad that this showed up in my "recommended videos." That is a super nice bus! I'm subscribing. Thumbs up!
Living in the cold makes one feel more alive in a strange way. One is more aware of one's limitations and ones need for warm clothes a good hot meal, heat, shelter, fuel. A hot cup of coffee ! What a well done vlog! The narration, story telling, music and editing. You need some snowshoes or backcountry cross country skis! The air is thinner at higher elevations. love your dog! God bless stay safe, stay warm!
Yes!!! I'm at my most content when it's cold out. When it's cold, cold out, and you're warm inside with a little fire going, plenty of wood to burn and some honest chow along with a few rescue pets or rescue friends, life feels simple and good. Right?
As someone on the backside of life as opposed to the front side like you. It is so awesome to see a person walking to the beat of their own drummer. Someone who comes to terms with self an enjoys and embraces life. Someone not being mislead by internet jargon and pronouns. May a gentle breeze meet your face and the sun always be at your back. God Bless and safe travels.
I love TH-cam. I'm a 49 year old guy from Atlanta. I've always dreamed about living off grid. Unfortunately, my life has grown in such a way that I can't do it right now. I appreciate you for allowing me to tag along on your journey. The quality of your channel is refreshing. We are all pulling for you. This is my new favorite channel. Be safe.
A baptism in the depths of cold, as you enter the world anew. And you test your legs, stretch your wings. It’s always easier from here, the first steps of tomorrow and tomorrow… There will finally be a moment when you realize you don’t have to keep searching, and know that this day and every day that follows, are the ones you’ve been waiting for. Live in that moment, live in each day, thrilling all of your senses with what surrounds, right now. This is when you will love yourself, because you will love life. Trust me, poetry will save you. And you have it. So good to hear. Looking forward to your new adventures. ✌🏼
Beautiful Wayne, thank you for this comment. I felt very insecure about sharing some of my writing, but comments like these give me more courage. Thank you for watching.
OMG!!! Been living in a 24 foot travel trailer for 2 years while I totally renovate a 20 year old cabin in the mountains. I too get so excited on the cold mornings when I can run the water!!!!! Life is Good 🙂
@@REGRETLYSS I just came across this video & it's really cool. I'll have to go back and watch your others to get more up to date. I've always had a passion to want to travel see everything that I can. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to do it.
I just want to say Thank you. You have inspired this Oldman to see life in a whole new way. At this time i am lost, raised 2 wonderful children that are off on their own. Their Mother and I split and I have lost purpose and direction. Thanks to you I have a 29 year old Mentor that I see my soul and heart through for the love of yourself, which I lack, and the love of the world/universe. Keep going you are an inspiration to all ages and souls. Love it, may you always be you.
So sad to hear that you feel lost. My daughter is close by and is always calling me to stop by to eat etc.. Living close to your kids I think is important. Just because they’re on their own doesn’t mean they don’t need you for lots of things.
I'm so sorry David. I sympathize. I too, broke after my divorce and have lost "me". Fighting hard to get me back. I pray for your healing. Hang in there. Much love. 💚
I'm from the Alaskan bush and as a lone woman ( now making it known) I sincerely hope you're sufficiently armed to defend yourself. Remember there's a total difference between paranoid and vigilant. First right step is a good dog. Live free and safe girl. Dandahermit
Yep! But actually men are statistically more likely to encounter violence, death, or assault. So, I’d say, regardless of whether you’re a woman or a man, you need to be able to defend yourself. If you choose not to carry a gun, just carrying pepper spray is a good idea that just might save your life!
@Dan Seals - true that. I've been in Finland, at -30C (-22F), and it was OK. You can cope with it outside, as long as you are moving. Then some place like Oymyakon, with -45C (-58F). Then Australia, 40C+ (104F) for a 1-2 weeks. Or more. This is one amazing planet, as long as you can move around. Some amazing places to see, and experience out there. As for defending? For example, EU is quite safe, especially nothern countries. My god, so much good camping spots there, quite good regarding camping and traveling as a lady. UK (Scotland, Wales, Ireland, south of London too) for example has a lot of places for camping, whole families do that every year, single people included (just a car and a tent will do), and so on. Spain, Portugal, Italy - hell, you can drive through whole Europe in your camping van, as there is plenty of spots for campers. And a lot of people is doing that too. Safety? Sure. Mostly use a common sense. Buy a teaser if you have to, but I've never meet anybody that had to use it in any camping place in EU. Anything more, such as gun? An overkill in EU. Skip this crap if you ever travel here in your van. This is not US. Safety in some of the large cities? Some of the neighbourhoods? Yeah, that is different story, but then again, a common approach and common sense is more than enough to keep you safe. Most of the time, you actually will be OK and you will have no issues at all. Like in any other large city around the globe, just keep your eyes open. Safety in small towns and villages? Not an issue. Quite the opposite. A lot of friendly people, curious too, and willing to help you or give you some advices of what to see in any local area.
I agree about the need tprotect yourself . Àbout 30 years ago I was on the road for 9 months. I ALWAYS wore a big handmade knife on my belt. I never let anybody take me OFF my planned route and always told them my family was waiting for me and that my brother was former Military Intelligence, now FBI. NEVER had except one problem.and I was able to get out of his truck and book it away to hide it was in rural Idaho.
We all ache for God, to fill the God shaped hole in our soul. Once my spirit was awaken by the Holy Spirit my longings for things I couldn't explain went away and my soul felt at rest and peaceful though I go through hard times and deal with life on life's terms I can still remain emotionally and mentally stable. 🙏💜🌹
Hi , as a Canadian i can relate to the cold temps. My dog has these little booties that he wears in the winter and once he gets used to them they work well for him. I was thinking maybe your dog (which is SO cute) could benefit from these dog foot boots. I really like your van. You have it laid out very nice too. You should do a video of how you built and designed it. Take care , i am a subscriber and will follow your journey of Van Life. All the best
I have to say… which I’m quite sure a million other people have already expressed to you. But I just wanted to send you my energy and say that I absolutely love your spirit, heart, and your energy!!! Your connection to creators energy all around you to is breathtaking. You’re amazing to watch. your verbiage is very relatable to me, and I can’t get enough of your episodes. Your nomadic life, adventures, and coping skills are truly inspiring!! I live in the mountain of NC, and if you ever want to park at my home, and tour this area, you are very welcome to visit. Rio and my little boy Bodhi could play together. And I totally love your relationship with Rio. Anyway, you may never read this, but I felt inspired to reach out and give my thoughts. P.S. I am so glad to hear your mom is going to be ok. “Info from one of your episodes of course” lol. Stay well, and happy. 💐🙏🤩
I have recently went though a life changing event. About a 1 year and a half ago. I died in the hospital and they brought me back. 8 days later I had a transplant that saved my life. Never thought at 36 years old I would die. After everything it has me asking all kinds of questions that I never thought of before. You are not alone. I am glad I subscribed to your channel
@@knowsmebyname I was only gone for 47 seconds and that was the scary part. I didn’t see anything but darkness. I believe in god very much and it scares me to this day that all I seen was darkness. Maybe I wasn’t gone lone enough. I don’t know. Either way it was awful.
@@TaylorFirearms-4x4 don't let that scare you. Lot of people see nothing when their hearts stop. Many many see the lights. Our Lord will be there for us. I am sure if it. God bless you my friend. Much love.
@@henguspod3899 I am actually doing better then ever. I have finally gotten back into the gym about 3 months ago and got my build back where it was before the surgery
she’s not reflecting, she’s out there making a deceiving video pretending like she’s strong and amazing. there’s nothing amazing here. she’s just a rich kid wearing a lot of makeup with waxed eyebrows, look at her stupid glamour shot for the video, this is not a survivor person struggling in the cold. jeez people, don’t be so stupid
Glad I got to see this one. This helped answer a few questions I had about living full-time, not camping, in a skoolie in winter. I live in Duluth MN and we traditionally have extreme below zero and wind chill temps. What I want to know is what did you do with your bus to "prep" for the cold evening? (You didn't show this). Also, I'm curious if you were concerned at all about how you were going to get out of there, especially if the snow depth became 1-2 feet deep? And how many days do you think you could've stayed in that spot with the fuel, water, food supply you had, if you had no other option? Thanks!
I love the winter and cold myself for it's solitude. Take this as a learning experience. Living in Canada we pour antifreeze liquid down our drains to stop the drain pipes from freezing. You may want to properly insulate your pipes as well. Good luck and I look forward in seeing more videos.
I just discovered your channel and I already wish I could meet you. I'm a 23 year old guy who's been a quiet loner my entire life. I go into everything with caution tape all around me and I've always had trouble finding myself. Everything you described is exactly what I hope for in life. I've also always been extremely close to animals. Cats, dogs, owls, deer, mice; you name it, I have a story with one. My cat has been my best friend for 13 years now. I have a tattoo for her and I owe her my life on multiple occasions. She's saved me more than once. A quiet life of freedom and enjoyment is exactly what I need. You're fantastic, and I really enjoyed this. Thank you, very much.
You need to get a van or something, so that you’re “in” that lifestyle otherwise you’d just be a creep, I think the definition of a creep is a “watcher” not a doer, as long as you’re doing you’ll know you’re not a creep
Hello 👋 Just like too say hi and let you know that I just subscribed to your channel. Love the way you fix your bus up , looks like a full size, but it’s a short one . Keep making amazing videos 😊👋🤗
I never comment on videos but I felt compelled to tell you that I think you have such a beautiful and genuine soul. I enjoy all of your commentary and thought sharing in your videos. It's a pleasure to watch your channel. P,S. I also have the unbeatable 7.3 power stroke in my truck lol. Take care and best wishes
My favorite thing is going ice fishing in a winter storm I used to grew up in a lake and snowmobile and I like drinking wine and and pop and hot tea and I like coffee and I put a sugar in my coffee I wish I can do that with you someday.
You are amazing. Love listening to you tell your story. Such a passion for a life of truth and fulfillment. I wish you the best from Massachusetts. Be safe . I can't wait to see more. You have captivated me.❤️
Awesome tour and so beautiful nature! Living alone in nature and in the cold is a great chance to test yourself and your strength. Thanks for sharing! Have a great day!
I am originally from the equatorial tropics..fifty years+and have yet to see snow!! But l hate the cold ..frostbite,.you are amazing to me..so brave..yes..more power n good vibes to you 😍😍😬😬😬🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Wow! I appreciate your boldness and sense of adventure! Totally get that sense of connection to nature you must have felt with the isolation. Rio seems like an awesome dog and great companion. My dog barked at her when he saw her on TV. LOL.
You are something special, and my yellow lab is obsessed with your dog. She is one of those amazing dogs that can see other dogs on screen. I just stumbled upon your vids and she no joke was fixed to the screen every time your dog was in frame. Lol ive never seen her do this! Im in Colorado too so i understand the cold!
I was in -60 degrees in Antarctica and my fingers froze instantly without gloves but it was just a test to see how fast it can happen. I went though training on how to survive in that climate but I would tell you most people could not and I could not without the training.
Loved loved loved the video! The bus is absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to Charlie’s tour on Sunday. So many questions like are you leaving the bathroom open? Are you getting cushions for the bench seats. I love that you did not skimp in any way on this build and it really shows. Hope you and Rio have a great week!
SO glad to hear you liked it Kimberly. :) Some of these questions will be answered in Charlie's tour, but no I'm not keeping the bathroom open. Currently have a curtain there, seeing how that works out! And I now have cushions. They took a little while to come in the mail. Excited to make this bus more and more homey every day now that I can settle in.
That's a great set-up, the shower NEXT to a cozy corner bed, first time seeing that. I don't go off grid although I have thought about it. Your dog is also a great idea, they sense anything and everything faster than we do, and they like creature comforts but aren't fussy. Back to your video!
Remember "Rio's" normal body temp is 101.5 F, so ours' is 98.6 (or plus/minus 1 )...any way, you're good. It breaks down to humidity, and ventilation. You Are Awesome! Thank You !! Your You Tube is Priceless, and Indescribable. Thank You. You're Great!
I just love how passionate, sincere and true to heart you live and share your adventure. Even in absolute solitude, where others might find themselves in fear, you thrive and shine bright. Keep it up.
Your videos are so beautiful and inspiring! I love how it feels like we are a part of your journal entries or inner dialogue. I am building out my 1988 chevy van to travel and work in film and tv and I have been watching your videos while I get my van ready, and every time I watch your videos I get inspired. Thank you! Please keep creating beautiful and uplifting content
Nothing but admiration for a young person with such courage. I wish I could have run in a woman like you in my life, but I am grateful to have run into your program to follow your progress from so far. All the best to you both :)
Glad you’re surviving the cold temperatures! Love watching your journey of you not only you in this lifestyle, but of self growth and discovery. Your stories are amazing and 100% relatable. Helps me me feel not so isolated with my internal struggles I battle with. Thank you! Interested in the enchilada bake! Jackfruit tacos looked delicious. Unsolicited safety suggestion inbound: when cooking and cutting with your knife.. try holding the handle with your middle, ring, and pinkie fingers. Rest your index finger flat against the blade near the handle (curl the finger back toward the handle), and position your thumb on the opposite side of the blade. This will just add more control and stability. This could avoid any unwanted kitchen mishaps! (Speaking from unfortunate experience) Just a suggestion and do whatever you’re most comfortable with! :)
After enduring those extreme temps it must have given you the greatest piece of mind knowing your rig can withstand subzero! Solid build, & solid late night cookies 🤙🏻
Such a great video and beautiful video of the moose in the nature there. I was worried about you in that weather it’s getting so cold I was hoping you didn’t freeze to death there I’m glad everything is working out. I was thinking Rio needs those little booties for her feet. I always enjoy your videos. I pray for you and real safety all the time. Take care and be safe Debbie
Your videos are so inspiring. I spend a lot of time in solitude as a full time van lifer. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Thank you for being you and sharing your journey!!
I think you might be one of the most beautiful person I've ever seen on here. Not just outside, but mostly inside. You strive very hard to be you and it shows. I love watching you and getting some insight to you. It helps me too try to find the real me. Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us .
Love your videos... Watch most, but possibly not all of the build.A couple of safety concerns.Even as a backup, heating with your oven is a bad idea.. It generates carbon monoxide. This will kill you!…. No joke!Don't know if you have one, but I highly recommend a fire alarm combo with a carbon monoxide detector. It will save your life! Also, Rio needs at the very least a set of booties for her feet in these temperatures, and possibly a coat. If you wouldn't go out in your bare feet, you're dog shouldn't either.(this goes for hot weather also). I would happily send you these items, however they need to be custom fit to Rio. Any decent pet store should be able to help you with these products. I hope you take these suggestions to heart, and in the spirit in which they are given… yours and Rio's well being. I too, live in Colorado... That was a hell of a cold spell! Very glad that you, Rio, and the monarch faired it well! Loving your journey.. Be safe, and be well!
Another thought for your drain freezing issues… if you know it's gonna be be THAT cold, a little antifreeze, biodegradable of course, in the drains should help prevent that!
🦋❣🦋I'm crazy happy for you. I know one day you will meet that right someone and your stars will shine together, know that there will be rainy days but that's what brings strength. 🦋❣🦋
An awesome video! Some ideas you might consider on your rig: starting either for cold weather to help start the engine in cold weather. A little spray in the air cleaner will really help the 7.3 start in winter time. A little goes a long way though. Too much and you will blow the heads off the engine. It’s cheap at Walmart to buy starting either. Another thing I started doing was changing the engine oil to a synthetic oil for the engine and rear axle. I use Amsoil synthetic. A little bit more expensive but it’s superior to any petroleum based oil. Regular oil gets really thick in cold weather but synthetic oil is not affected by cold weather. Buy a couple of quarts , synthetic and regular oil and leave it outside one night and see which one pours in the morning. All engine wear occurs at engine start as the bearings have no oil and the oil is really thick in the oil pan due to the cold weather. Synthetic oil will not thicken when cold and the 7.3 will start easy. The synthetic makes a huge difference in winter an summer. But if the engine leaks oil then don’t buy the synthetic. Too expensive. Gorgeous video! I’m subscribed!
Just me and my dogs is how I choose to be most of the time. It's nice to take a break from the craziness of this world. Recharge the soul and relax the mind.

Just found the channel somehow on one of those crazy algorithms but I was pleasantly surprised that I continued to enjoy the video. I’m definitely going to be catching up on the catalog of videos. I wanted to say that it’s great to hear other people discuss isolation to heal from “self” harm(mentally) it helps me continue to get better myself! I’m excited to see how things work out

Ever feel scared traveling alone in isolated areas, SO many horror stories out there and people disappearing in remote areas etc. I love nature and travel a lot, I have not yet camped or been out in remote areas, So love the insight :❤
Hello, I'm a first time viewer. I live in the Great Northwoods of Wisconsin, and I can understand how you're feeling in those temperatures. I really enjoyed this video and hope to see more soon. So, until then, keep warm, stay safe, and take care.
What a fascinating individual, I loved the whole idea of solitude in an unforgiving atmosphere. I’m amazed that the bus would start under those extreme conditions. But the 7.3 is legendary, props to the person who helped you figure out the insulation, just amazing 😊
Im so glad im seeing your videos. I myself have contemplated a journey of finding myself. Your videos are very inspiring and helping! I am now in the planning stages/aquiring the tools necessary to make this all happen as you have done! Thank you for these videos and continue to make them for they help more then youll ever know! ❤️
I definitely feel letting yourself feel alone and facing your inner thoughts and emotions that can for too long be put on hold in the busy day to day life. Been on a similar journey of my own. Great video, stay safe out there!
It’s always surprising to me that someone so beautiful (inside and out) can struggle with loving themselves. It really shows that we all are on that journey, no matter our situation or circumstance. I’m happy I took that journey in life and came to a place of contentment in my 30’s. Now in my early 50’s I’m eternally grateful that I was able to do it then and not now while I suffer with chronic pain and health issues… I can’t imagine having to do that work now. I encourage everyone to do that work on themselves and realise you are worthy 🙏💕
Enjoying every moment of your videos, Alyssa. You and Rio are amazing spirits! Glade to know you'll be traveling safe. Take care and well see you next week 🙂
A mesmerizing glimpse into your journey … thank you! At 66 I hit the road full time after remodeling a travel trailer High blood pressure and a sudden hip replacement temporarily sidelined me, but after watching this I’m itching to get back on the road (versus parked on a lovely mountain in Saguaro National Monument ) How awesome your bus is!!! and it’s great you’ve an earlier start than I had lol we have - to try and figure it out and find peace I’ll be catching up on your videos and following you guys (doggies & kitties are people too) from now on 🤗
Lyss u are such a brave young woman who sees the beauty in everything even grass clippings sprouting out of snow! Charlie is a master builder who thought of all scenarios in very COLD weather! Well insulated excellent electrical basically all the creature comforts. Stay well & safe on your journey & continue with your self love! I hope u find THAT person! How long do u intend on being in that pretty but cold place? 🇦🇺🌻
Your doggie definitely needs booties. I love your van! It's beautiful. Enjoy this wonderful adventure and I look forward to seeing more of your adventures. This has been a dream of mine for many years. Hopefully I will get to fulfill my dreams.
You prepared Rio's food before yours among other loving behaviors towards him. That alone tells me you are a kind compassionate soul. Respect!! Be safe & I wish you all the best in life.
Wow young Lady you did it I'm so happy for you and your accomplishments you've built a beautiful home and it shows it's warm and cozy what a treat to come home too everyday congratulations on your deep winter dive it paid off on the spray foam I've also put it in my coach and wouldn't have it any other way. Your mountain run is a tribute to Charlie's value as a professional builder. Way to go Charlie your a scholar and a gentleman. I'm so proud of you little one now go out and concur. Your so ready. Thanks for a wonderful chapter of your life it was great.
New Subscriber, When you know it's going to be extremely cold you should not camp alone and in seclusion. Camp where if you have a break down or whatever you can easily get help. Be Careful and carry a gallon of anti-freeze, when extremely cold add a cup of anti-freeze to all the drains. Keeps them from freezing‼️‼️ GOOD LUCK & STAY WARM. Vinny 🇺🇸
I love Colorado winter snow. It’s so quiet that one can hear the earth breath and birdsong travels through the forest. Growing up in Colorado, I love the silence when it’s snowing, but have also learned to be prepared by having rice, beans and flour plus let your water drip to prevent frozen pipes. And as cold as it can get, the East Coast is way colder because of humidity, but either way layer up the clothing and have a lot of distractions for being snow bound d. Just watch out for the weight the snow can put on your home. We’ve gotten upwards of 6 feet and I live in the so called banana belt of the SW
Stay safe and be careful , love your vans interior you did a great job if you can spare the electricity or cold nights get some heat tape to wrap around drain pipe Get some deicer to spray on your door area to get rid of the ice good luck out there
This just showed up on my page today. Being a body builder and songwriter those are the things that I mostly look for to watch, but this video looked interesting so I decided to watch it. It's nice to watch different things, especially when it's a subject that you don't know much about. You're one tough person and doing a great job handling it too. I liked the video and also when you were doing the sponsor clip and you could see your dog's head on the right side as he was just laying back and sleeping. Your dog is cool. Well, I hope you find what you're looking for.
Such a beautiful video! You might have to get Rio little booties or the wax for her paws! Your home looks so cozy and it just reminds me like one of those hidden nooks that you find in serenity garden. lol I am not sure if I am explaining it right but you know what I mean! The Gang did a beautiful beautiful job on your home and now you can rest a little easy knowing it made it throw its first blizzard! Love you guys to pieces xoxo
I loved the video. And the testing of systems under extreme conditions. I do advise two sets of paw booties for Rio as summer heat in the Southwest especially on asphalt can seriously burn her paws while a rubberized pair for snow/ice is great for those frigid potty breaks and of course paw salve at bedtime renews her leathery pads.
I would so enjoy being with her. She's so beautiful and seems so sweet. Even just to be a close friend would offer her security that would have to be so good for her peace of mind. Especially one who could provide more than his share of expenses and help. She would be such an amazing friend😊
What an astonishing inspirational young woman you are. I wish that at some point in your life, you'd write an autobiography so that i - and countless others - could get a glimpse into the processes and circumstances that create an off-the-charts archetypical virtuoso of courageous living such as you.

From the thumbnail to the videography to the music, very artistically made video. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
And tomorrow if she wants the beach it's just a drive👍
So true. I thrive in the cold. I can’t cope in the summer. As the other commenter noted, the beauty of Lyssa’s situation is that she can simply move places if she wants. How wonderful!
Leadville?
I thrive more in winter than I do in the summer.
@@amybecker9108 I'd prefer cold weather over hot and humid weather every single day of the year. There's no day worse than those in which I constantly sweat and struggle just to breathe. Give me cold, crisp, refreshing air to breathe any time.
Thanks!
God bless you I hope you're happy and leading a happy life.
God bless you with all the happiness ❤
She needs to get a job ,get a bloke, pop a few kids out, and stop messing about.
Be safe.
I can't get enough of your videos. I have the playlist on every night and I fall asleep. They are so soothing and your amazing. I love your journey!!
Life is Good 🙂
This sounds so perfect
It’s fun and liberating as long as you don’t get sick.
Watched your whole bus build, so happy to see you reaping the fruits of your labor! Can’t wait to follow along as you seek travel. 🍻
Really appreciate you following along for the whole build and now my adventures. Means more to me than you know.
@@REGRETLYSS I just came across this video & it's really cool. I'll have to go back and watch your others to get more up to date. I've always had a passion to want to travel see everything that I can. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to do it.
Me too! I just watched the tour of your bus yesterday! Best one I've seen yet!🥰
Much love. 💚
I LOVE your dog! Shes so patient with everything and embraces everything you do openly with no complaints!
I'm from the Alaskan bush and as a lone woman ( now making it known) I sincerely hope you're sufficiently armed to defend yourself. Remember there's a total difference between paranoid and vigilant. First right step is a good dog. Live free and safe girl. Dandahermit
That moniker should really throw them off, at least in the online world.
Yep! But actually men are statistically more likely to encounter violence, death, or assault. So, I’d say, regardless of whether you’re a woman or a man, you need to be able to defend yourself. If you choose not to carry a gun, just carrying pepper spray is a good idea that just might save your life!
@Rardz Jr With a woman named Dan Seals?
WOW! That is an awesome living off grid.
That looks so cold but it's fun. Your dog is an amazing companion.
Well done and big like!
You're badass for living in those extreme conditions. I'm a big fan. Looking forward to following you on your adventure.
Thanks!
Such a natural beauty! Absolutely gorgeous! 💕🥰😍
I LOVE the snow!!! Winter is my soul season 💟
Same♥️
I love the winter and cold myself for it's solitude.
Take this as a learning experience. Living in Canada we pour antifreeze liquid down our drains to stop the drain pipes from freezing. You may want to properly insulate your pipes as well. Good luck and I look forward in seeing more videos.
Rio is so cute and doing a great job being your best friend! ❤❤
Your narration is like poetry. Thanks for taking us on your journey

Also vaseline on dogs paws can help the snow to not stick, you need to wash it off with warm soap water and dry before applying the salve
Wow! I appreciate your boldness and sense of adventure! Totally get that sense of connection to nature you must have felt with the isolation. Rio seems like an awesome dog and great companion. My dog barked at her when he saw her on TV. LOL.

Loved watching every minute of that! Brilliant the way your living your life & such a good companion to have along side you 👍🏻
Loved loved loved the video!
Love the bus! Glad you are in such a well insulated bus. Rio looks happy and so do you🥰. See if you can get rio some dog booties for the snow.
So much appreciation for showing us such a way. There is so much longing from so many people for such a life it makes me cry.

You have so much introspection and it is amazing. you are finding what life is. So wonderful
After enduring those extreme temps it must have given you the greatest piece of mind knowing your rig can withstand subzero! Solid build, & solid late night cookies 🤙🏻
This is my first time watching your channel and I fell in love with your courage. God bless you.

I love seeing you are so confident being alone off grids. I wish I was there with you!
Life is dangerous! Mind your own business.
I’m so happy for you. The inside of the little bus looks amazing! Safe journey ✌🏼

Aw, thank you friend. I always cherish your comments.

Thanks for a wonderful chapter of your life it was great.
your talk about connection with the nature and the wish to connect on the same level with people touched my heart in an inexplicable way.
HEY i love your video i am a first time thank you very much and take care of yourself.
Much love and respect to you for having the courage and bravery to set out on such an adventure, I wish you the best of luck.
Vinny 🇺🇸
This makes a lot of sense i hopes she’s read this and take heed especially in that extreme weather
Yes anywhere in seclusion at anytime... xx good advice
Aș tremura o noapte în brațele Lyssei! 🤪🥰🤣🤣🤣
Your dog needs paw shoes, and you shuld wear a warm cap when you go outside, cause you loose the most heat throug the head.
That’s so cool what your doing. Your a brave and fearless woman. You will find what your looking for in life. Your so cool. Glad I found you.
This video popped up in my recommended today. Your bus is one of the most amazing builds I've seen and you're a dog lover 🙂 Subscribed
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience in living tiny. What a wonderful thing that is,the freedom and connection with nature.
She seems a very positive person , positive attitude , positive energy ,
Stay safe and be careful , love your vans interior you did a great job if you can spare the electricity or cold nights get some heat tape to wrap around drain pipe Get some deicer to spray on your door area to get rid of the ice good luck out there
This just showed up on my page today.
Might wanna invest in snow shoes
@@christopherreid1653 yeah that was a little outrageous
I loved the video. And the testing of systems under extreme conditions. I do advise two sets of paw booties for Rio as summer heat in the Southwest especially on asphalt can seriously burn her paws while a rubberized pair for snow/ice is great for those frigid potty breaks and of course paw salve at bedtime renews her leathery pads.
when I was a kid I loved going to the mountains of NH and Maine in winter with a tent...the solitude was powerful...I miss it ...enjoy!
