I know the whips necessarily don’t hurt the horse but if you hit them too hard they can bruise or even get serious injuries if done too much That rider did that on purpose and there was absolutely no need to smack the horse that hard with the edge of the whip Also I’ve been riding for 5 years so I know what encouraging a horse over a jump and full on hitting the horse looks like Use your legs aids before you go and use your whips cuz chances are your leg aids will be more effective Also she did this out of pure anger and that’s not right
