People don't know my life or the shit my mom put me through or the problems she caused me. Not every single person has a good relationship with their mom and that's okay. 16:19 That story reminds me of the absolute breaking point for why my sister hates our dad. When she was in 8th grade she suffered a lot of migraines and massive bouts of depression (a result of an accident that not many people took seriously) and because of it she tried staying home often. If she went to school with a migraine, she usually ended up spending the day in the nurse's office so it was really pointless to go. We had guinea pigs at the time, three of them, one belonging mostly to me, one to my sister, and one to our mother (our dad didn't like pets all that much outside of fish) and one of them, Luna, the one that belonged to my sister, was sick with pneumonia (we're pretty sure she caught it from a night mid-winter when the front for blew open in the middle of the night. When my mum realized something was happening she actually found Luna shielding both of the other guinea pigs in the corner and trying to protect them from the cold) and my dad decided it was a good idea to use Luna as leverage to get my sister to go to school, saying that he wouldn't take her to the vet if she didn't go to school. She went to school, he still didn't take her, and she passed away not long after with both her sister and their adoptive daughter cuddled against her and saying their goodbyes. She was actually the first pet we were old enough to remember losing, so yeah. My sister hates our dad

The cat killer made me remember a story that happened to my bf when he was 9, he was preparing to shoot empty soda cans with his father's rifle in their garden near the road, with the full wooden fence behind separating the garden and the woods. A guy that often bullied him (son of the village's butcher, 14yo, 6 feet 2 and very muscular while my bf was 5 feet 2 and very skinny) passed by and saw him, went through the garden's gate and started pulling his hair and giving him small slaps, then a cat jumped on the fence and the bully told him "if you don't shoot that cat, I'm going to hit you so bad you won't go to school for a week at least", my bf was scared and so tried to shoot a little left to the cat, behind him. You remember that scene in the Simpson's where Bart shoots a bird? That's exactly what happened. He shot the cat unintentionally as he didn't knew the rifle had a problem. The bully laughed, hit his back and said "you cat killer" and then went out. My boyfriend ran to the cat, it was already dead, he was bawling his eye out, feeling so guilty. He dug a hole and put the body in it with a little sign on it and picked then replanted wild flowers on it before going back home, still crying. He was covered in dirt with tears traces, still sobbing, his mom asked him what happened, he said everything about the bully. She told his dad while preparing him something good to eat because it wasn't his fault and she saw how bad he felt. His dad got enraged and took him to see the butcher and the bully, when he saw the son he said "That thing is only 14? That's totally stupid, I understand now why my son didn't fight back" they explained everything that happened to the butcher (he was even taller and bigger than his son from working) and he made his son excuse himself, let him be hit 3 times by my bf and forced him to go with my bf, wearing his backpack for him at school for the entire week.

Ooft, on the first week of theatre college, my classmates were discussing our favourite musicals. At the time, mine was Wicked and this boy speaks up and says "I hate Wicked!!"
Now, I have NO PROBLEM with people not liking things I like. I actually really enjoy hearing other people's experiences with things i enjoy, even if its negative, so i asked him what he didn't like about it. The only thing he said was that "cause everyone else likes it" I legit never spoke to him again offstage! That's no reason not to like something. I could tell he was disappointed when i never went off or argued with him- i don't argue, i don't like arguing so i just ignored him but i was still weary of him and would listen to him in group discussions
I kid you not, he tried to start arguments with everyone all the time ???;?!??? Like why ??????? Its almost like didn't know how to/like having conversations with people without it turning in to an argument or debate, so glad i choose to shut him down on the first week 😂😂😂

That depends on the congregation. Some of them will be filled with loving, compassionate, generous people, and others unfortunately have gained some odd twisted high-horse self-righteousness. They forget that they're not supposed to be SELF-righteous, but basing their righteous pursuits on the way *God* wants us to be. If that was their response, then they've lost their way. My oldest friend's mother went through that after her husband died and she wanted to try to raise her two kids on her own instead of getting married again. She found a new church to go to and she found a much more supportive group of people there.
If you were going to church before and have lost the desire to go, so be it, but don't give up on God purely because of a lost flock. Continue to pray, and ask for his guidance, please. He won't give up on you.

As a kid, I had a very toxic family. My mother was addicted to heroin and got pregnant with me to use it as a way of keeping my father with her, she wanted to use him for money and had a kid with him so he wouldn't leave. He eventually turned towards alcohol, and took everything out on me. This friend I previously mentioned was one of the only people I opened up to, only to have them come out with that bullshit. The fact that she used something which was completely out of my control, against me. I lost all respect and left her instantly, ignoring all her shitty attempts at apologsing. People which use a previously mentioned and sentitive topic to gain control over an argument are the worst.
I'm honestly happy I left her, I eventually got away from my family and as of now I'm a 19 year old artist which is happily living in a shared apartment with my best friend. Turns out life isn't always shitty.

For context, I was at a lecture/seminar for addiction, anxiety, and depression before my college prep group was meant to have a fun day out. A(now) ex-friend tried to lecture our table about how you only become addicted to drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol if you have an “addictive personality,” and when the lecturer asked for words to describe depression, she tried to answer with the word “gratifying”(syn. for satisfying). He luckily didn’t hear her, but it caused an argument between the two of us. First, I just said, “no.” She tried saying, “well, crying is gratifying.” It turned into this awful back and forth until our table shut us down. One friend took me to the bathroom because everyone to the left and across from me could see me crying. Later, during lunch, I was in the bathroom and, as I was leaving, she was washing her hands and called out to me. She asked if I was upset; I said yes. She asked if it was her fault; I said yes. She, without turning to look at me, just says, “sorry,” literally nothing else. I walked out without a word. I learned from one of our friends about how she was complaining that she apologized and I ignored her.

In my senior year of high school, a classmate of mine took his own life. To say it was tragic is an understatement, and a lot of people missed him greatly. This girl I knew, friend of a friend, was talking to my best friend who was very close to the deceased and said to them, and I quote, “I don’t get why everyone is so sad, (deceased) made the choice to kill himself. He wanted to die.”
Admittedly I was never fond of the girl to begin with but that pushed me over the line into straight up hating her. To add to this about two years prior in my sophomore year, a senior this girl had a crush on also took his own life and she literally did everything she could to get attention on her despite the fact that she barely even knew him, but then two years later had the gall to say that about someone whose death she couldn’t make about her.

@@sirduncebag6190 You need to kill the dogs as painfully and slow as possible to preserve the flavor. You want to taste the fear as you take that first bite. Best way to achieve that is to lure small puppies from their gardens and then going to town. Stab their eyes out, pull out their nails, smash their teeth out with a rock...get creative with it. Lots of loser families get dogs now because they get depressed sitting at home with their spouse all day, so lots of meat running around. Happy hunting!

During one of the long stretches of hospital admissions, a friend told me she had cancer. Of course, I felt so bad because I know how horrible it was and I was very worried. She said she was getting surgery and I was talking to her, giving her advice, etc. Spent all of our conversations talking about how she was feeling.
Yeah. She didn't have cancer. Or anything else. She was healthy, just jealous of the attention that I was getting and upset that I felt too sick to hang out a lot.

Heard a new neighbor moving in say that they were going to "fight" another neighbor's service dog they saw in their window. The dog is a big beautiful german shepherd that I never saw get out of hand or even heard bark before. Super well trained service dog. Needless to say, I'm not a fan.

16:31 I have a story similar to this.
My sweet cat, Callie, who was maybe about 10-11 years when she died, died a similar way.
I had told my parents, i think i was 10 at the time, that she looked ill, she was skinner than before. They laughed and brushed it off as, and i shit you not, “You just want her to die so you can get that new kitten”
She died about a month later from kidney failure, I’ll never forgive my parents for it. If they hadn’t said that, I would’ve pressured more to get her help, but they didn’t listen and it was too late by the time they actually started to think something was wrong.
That was about 5-6 years ago, I still get teary thinking about her. Whenever I see people claim cats are asses I get angry, because she was a total sweetheart, and it hurts me to know there was a chance she would still be with us if my parents had actually decided to take my concerns seriously.

That's understanble and I'm sorry for your loss
Tbh I think dogs gets more love cause they can be freely abused and still lick boot if they get food, cats on the other hand mostly gives back treatment to humans as in 60-80% of cats I know literally only gave back the treatment they got to humans back to them.
Humans are an odd species and while I has some rather bad memories with them and there are many gross ones I still try not to hate them, there are some really nice ones out there too, I'm not sure
I know it's hard and that the memory won't fade away but I'll hope you'll feel better and don't blame yourself.
