I love how the flying ship at 21:50 recalled the plane to repair it Just to disconnect it and have it *immediately* crash against the mothership and die.
"About a week before the next episode" Evidently things didn't work out quite so nicely. Would definitely love to see this continued (and maybe see some actual plasma burst damage instead of little rapid fire ones).
I really wish FtD had a good incentive for quantity over quality; there was a _massive_ missed opportunity not just with the visuals, but also with the logistics of re-building craft/setting up fleets with craft that cooperates.
@@NovaAgeAye, the issue comes in with efficiency, with how rapid fire everything is (excluding CRAM) and how accurate the fire is, its better to put all your bags in one heavily armored basket then spread it around.
At 11:30 , I suddenly had a wonderful drone challenge idea: Melee drones. Imagine a small Swarm of drills, rams, and particle blade drones eviscerating your foes!!! That would be so fun! (Hopefully)
I was just thinking the nuclarfish could be improved by covering them in rams and cuddling their way into the enemy. If the trigger condition is true for say 5 seconds, detonate. Become the nuclear bodkin blowfish.
I love being a human equivalent of finding loose change at the bottom of a sofa. Really encapsulates how this week has felt. As always, From the Depths is absolutely a series I'd like to keep seeing.
I'd like to see Lathrix doing a AI explanation/tutorial video, so we and him can learn from those who have more experience in the FTD AI programming. Definitely interested in seeing more! Hope you have a marvelous mini vacation Lathrix, well deserved!
I've been watching you play from the depths for the longest time now and I just have to say, THANK YOUU!!!! You got me into from the depths and have given me and thousands of others, a fantastic source of funny, strategic, derpy, entertainment. Please continue this fantastic channel!
I *love* seeing more From The Depths on the channel! FtD is what got me into your channel in the first place, and I'm very happy to see it again! I would love to see you go at the Quest For Neter once more, as well! I think it'd be awesome to see some bigger designs which can work in conjunction, which isn't the sort of gameplay you'd get in the Adventure mode!
hang on can we just appreciate how wacky these open remarks are, "human equivalents of finding loose change under the sofa" what does that even mean?? good job on the creativity Lathrix.
I was sitting on my couch yesterday and thought “man I wonder if lathrix is still doing FtD. I would love to see some more of his creations.” Lo and behold there is a treasure trove of content to view now. Thank you for continuing to play this game. It scratches a very niche itch I have.
I really glad you are enjoying the run. I am not good at programing solutions and logic behavior so I can certainly appreciate why it is melting your brain. Enjoy your vacation, and I'm looking forward to seeing what other evil drones you can concoct.
For the algorithm, anyway I don't really comment on videos much unless I have an opinion on something or encouraging new content creators so that they have faith in their works so commenting like this is new for me. But anyway, thanks for making amazing videos Lath, because of your videos I have discovered 3 beautiful games, mainly terratech, from the depths, and Stellaris, though I can't play any of these games (because I don't have any form of online payment yet and that I don't have enough of a beefy laptop to even attempt running them), I hope for better days and better nights to come for you.
I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your content. I've been watching for several years now, at least seven, maybe eight or nine, my memory's pretty blurry from back then, and I'm eighteen now. For quite a while I didn't have any account on youtube, so instead of getting notifications I would check a few channels daily, and yours was always one of the first I'd check. Even after all those years I haven't once lost interest, and both it and you have never lost any charm. As I've changed, your content has too, but in a good way (not that the old stuff was bad, I still watch it every once in a while). I hope you keep making the content that interests you, and should you one day lose interest in content creation don't be afraid to leave, because your passion and enjoyment is the most important part of any artistic and creative pursuit. Keep up the great work, because your content is a series I wish to see continued in the future

I love seeing your Videos Lathrix, keep it up, I work on the vehicles for the campaign, I'm the one who did the balance patch for adventure mode and I adore watching your playthrough ❤
I think it'd be quite cool if the goldfish nukes were to stay in the water longer and then come out when they're under the target. This probably would mean they would also be harder to hit and detect and hit the potentially softer underbelly of flyers and ships, probably downing flyers. Maybe even make them have dolphin like breaches on the way to the target and then do a final 'jump' almost directly up under the target to hit, I think this would be very cool and add to the derp factor (Not sure how possible as I don't play FtD). I love you videos and you're my favourite youtuber.
would be cool to make a drone thats all about the gun, just making a drone that has. the best cannon it can have and is basically a glass howitzer: moves slow big dmg and no armor
I had to go to your video list to find this, if you had put all the episodes together in one video (no matter how long) the algorithm would have shown it to me as I usually go for long form content. A 5+ hour video is not too long. I believe it's capped at 12. I'm going to like them all anyway.
Love this series! It's been a while since we did episodic, and I am loving the extra detail you get to put into it. See more of the thought process and silliness. Have a great vacation!
So glad your channel popped back up on my recommended feed after however many years it's been since I last watched your stuff Been watching for the last couple months now and really enjoying it! :)
I love the longer format from the depths... i mean every from the depths video is art and plz never stop your the whole reason i loved and love this game
Would love to see this drone series continued, or even turned into a movie style of video. Wouldn't even mind if that vid went more into the designing of the drones, infact i think that would make me like it even more!
"I'M AS DUMB AS A BRICK AND HAVE NO SELF PRESERVATION PROGRAM!! LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!" -battleborn AI carrying a suicide bomb as they had to break its brain to get it to carry said bomb.
A quick tip for building small planes and nukes: A small thruster costs 100, small custom jet parts cost around 20. You can completely forgo engine power and batteries that way, and they even outperform thrusters slightly.
Okay three things: 1. From the depths is a series I wish to see continued 2. Blood to the blood god! Skulls to the skull throne! AND MILK FOR THE KHORNE FLAKE!!! 3.(and most importantly) I hope you enjoy your vacation Lathrix
Loving this run the most out of all the from the depths runs you’ve done, hope to continue seeing it. Also hope to see more from the depths content in general. Please showcase those additional designs you mentioned wanting to go make after the run as well, I’d love to see the progression in designing.
When you're talking about this snazzy at carrier 21:58, I'm pretty sure it's inspired by WWII era Japanese aircraft carriers. I guess it follows that what's cool irl is cool in ftd.
As an idea for a victory condition, you could consider the run "won" when the vessel (in this case fleet) is capable of sustaining itself for a period of time in difficulty 100 purely based on AI or with minimal direct control. Otherwise, loving the series so far!
I would love to see a variation of this series where you start off by strapping some light weapons onto your mothership, and then you can't build anything else. Every drone has to be converted from a captured enemy, but you just take the corpse and bolt new stuff on, so no repairing it to what it's supposed to be, and no removing parts. I think it'd be interesting to see this huge fleet of Frankenstein style vehicles lumbering around in all of their hideous glory.
I will say, for you next challenge run I think it'd be really interesting if you tries putting together a death train: Rules are you try to make it so all sections of your vehicle hover, you only turn/move with the front car, and front car is only allowed to have melee weapons. The rest of compartments should have a spending limit and be loosely connected if possible, as well as focus on side compartment style weapons that only fire if the enemy is their side. For general anti-air and good all round defenses, I actually suggest you build mechs floating above your train compartments similar to twin guard style stuff. For fun I'd say they're allowed to move on their own, but only if you design them to walk and jump instead of using wheels or normal flight. Mostly just because I've never seen you try to build a walker in this and this would be a good practice for a mech warrior style run. I think in general it could be a really fun campaign, and a bonus challenge could be after you reach level 100 try to redesign it so that your character can at least walk through all compartments without comprising the actual capabilities of it. I think that'd just be a fun challenge for most of these adventure mode play throughs because it'd add some life to your ships and really give you a chance to decorate them.
I appreciate every description of viewers he gives at the start of the video. Bold to assume we’re human though.
