Who's excited for the 1st-ever bass singer double-feature on the channel?! I hope y'all like it, because many more are on the way -- May the Bass Be With You 🙏
What I love about Zero to Hero is all the little details. The juicebox, the wig, the pit vipers. When you all went bananas with the macarena, Bobby fainting and Marwan with his cat, it was just pure gold. I love a sense of humour in a music video. And such a great song. ❤
Manav's video left me doubled over laughing one moment, picking my jaw off the floor the next We need a pit viper equivalent for high notes with Vinny. Some of those notes are higher than I can sing! I love the hour of bass goodness. I hope we get more like this.
Hoo-ah-pah-tah-nah! Also, Zero to Hero was just genuinely an amazing video. I feel like I'm seeing more and more non-basses being able to reach stupid low base notes with subs and it's insanely impressive! Thanks for highlighting how much of a beast Manav is with them Vinny and Bobby is and has ever been an absolutely INCREDIBLE combo!! So glad someone's reacting to their covers (others may have but I've so far only seen this one)
A bass singer who is ALWAYS overlooked is Ysaye Maria Barnwell (yes, a woman) from Sweet Honey in the Rock. Their versions of ''wade in the water'' ( there are many on youtube) REALLY showcase her. She has much more emotion in her voice then many male basses who get all the attention.
You can tell all of you were enjoying yourselves filming 'Zero to Hero'. Must be fun not having to be too serious with what you are filming. Really upbeat song and this version is very catchy. The video for 'I See Fire' really tricked me. The way it was shot makes you thing that they were not together when filming. Even the fight scenes are set up so that you only see one of their faces at a time. It's only after they recognise each other for what they are and have clasped arms that you finally see both their faces at the same time. Shows that they truly do come together.
This was a great double feature R&A. Always love seeing how much fun and shenanigans go on with TBG. I really appreciated the Bobby & Vinny review and love to hear you get in the weeds with Vinny’s voice.
I feel the same way about I See Fire! It's the kind of song that I think works better in a mashup than by itself, but Bobby and Vinny made it much more compelling. And Zero to Hero is one of the best Disney songs hands down- Manav's work was incredible, as was the Bass Gang's! I loved this double feature and look forward to more in the future :D
This is so much fun I couldn't believe what you guys had pulled off whenever I originally saw it. I'm so glad that you decided to review this video and let us know what all is going on. You all guys need to do more of these type of videos there's so much fun!
Loved the double dose of vocal nerdery! I love seeing you lot goof around and Disney dork out on camera. 'Hercules' is easily one of my all-time favorites with a Broadway caliber voice cast with a glorious Alan Menken score! And speaking of glorious, so glad you reacted to this cover of "I See Fire" as this was my introduction to Vinny. I was shocked he could hit an A5 better clearer than most of my fellow sopranos. 🤯
Hoowopadana. I've always wanted a music video with the Pit Vipers! Manav knocked it out of the park! It's Panic who's drinking from the cup. Pain is wearing Herc's sandals.
Gonna be honest and say I didn't initially like the arrangement very much. However, it's really grown on me with a few more listens and catching all the little details I missed at first. Videos like this take that up a notch as there's a ton more going on here that makes me appreciate it all the more. Great work, Manav.
Here's a couple Smaug lines for ya Peter!! - Don't be shy, STEP INTO THE LIGHT - I am almost tempted to let you take it, only to see Oakenshield suffer
Fantastic review and analysis of both songs. I watch your channel regularly. 😊. I have a suggestion for a future set of R & A videos. It’s a opera tenor from South Africa that is/was living in London during his appearances on BGT (Britian’s Got Talent). The artist is Innocent Masuku. He has a YT channel “Innocent Masuku Tenor”. Maybe start with his BGT appearances. 1st one he did ‘Caruso’, 2nd was a song from the movie “Gladiator”, 3rd was Nessun Dorma. Plus he has a lot on his channel you may know what they are… I would love to see what you think of him.
so... much... bassy... reactionism. Also, the Hercules one is just total craziness. Manav is a loony, and you guys all just bring it out of him. In the best way possible. It also took me probably like 30 minutes to pause through that 3-minute song, to be able to watch all your details. And the singing... it's just so good. Now, I see fire... dunno why, personally I don't like the original song that much. Somehow, not my thing. Could never put my finger on it, why. This cover... these voices, together, at the same time, with a proper pair of headphones. Yes, they smash. Very intensive. Looking forward to more double features!
I know you’ve probably already got in on your list but whenever you can i’d love to see you react to Voiceplays newest cover of Be Prepared! Awesome video too❤
I was hoping someday you would do a cover of Vinny's and Bobby's music together! I like you could listen to them both sing all day. I would suggest that you listen to Peter Hollens cover of this song. And if you listen to this cover you will even be more convinced that Peter hollens should do choral music! It is impressive and I think you would like the song even more.

@@etrain757I have a Geoff double-feature coming out very soon 🐍
@@PeterBarber YAY.
I loved Zero To Hero. My favorite of all the Bass Gang cover songs

All I can think of with the juicebox is it could also be a subtly nod to Marwan in 'Hooked on a Feeling'.
@@Adam_Boots Same. 😁

@@manavsharma869 I was right then. Very nice touch and I'm definitely glad you added it.

This has been more fun than pretty much any reaction I've heard. Only recently heard Bobby and Vinny together and it's like love in my ears.

Those Smaug impressions had me feeling some type of way making me want to put a ring on and become invisible because that was terrifyingly good
Please do more Vinny videos, particularly his solo stuff like misty mountains!
Vinny is awesome.
I love both of these!
Oh I really want to see that blooper reel!
Hey Peter! You should analyze Voiceplay's newest song "Be Prepared!"
Love the reactions-very different videos but both really good. Manavah is going to give Marwan a run for his money!
Definitely LOVED the double header! MORE BASS!!!!

It's a nice rumbly growl, but Smaug will always be Richard Boone.
