If BG wants to throw out extras like those I'd be more than happy, it was delicious listening to them playing with all of their crazy ranges so beautifully. "If I Had a Heart" is a must, one of my favs of theirs. Oh and not to forget Manav....brilliant man, keep it up.
"More than Words" was absolutely beautiful. Tomi's falsetto is so flawless, you'd NEVER think he could growl down to a G0, and Peter's tenor range... like, HOW??? How is this man an operatic bass? As for "Zero to Hero"... daaaaaang Peter brought in the BIG GUNS, hahaha! I had to pause from laughing so many times when I first watched it. That's going way up onto my acapella playlist. I suddenly realized I wasn't actually following Manav. That was corrected right away. He's so amazing! I can't wait to see your interview with Peter. He's a great interviewer, so insightful. GO FOLLOW THE BASS GANG EVERYONE!
The shenanigans of The Bass Gang reminds me of their Hooked on A Feeling (plus Manav the one with the soft drink now) and of course Peter flexing his Gaston ^^
This version of "More Than Words" makes me cry every time. The harmonies are GORGEOUS. And Peter has really been working on his upper register. He's got so much Chest up there now it's ridiculous! The Bass Gang could double as The Tenor Gang at this point.
Bass Gang is one of my favorite a cappella groups. I’m a Tomi P addict. I follow most of these artists on Patreon. Thank you for another dose of heaven.
10:24 now THAT'S what I call an upright piano! 😂😂😂 I love the, uh... panning(?) in the second song; as someone who is new to this group, it was really helpful in knowing who was singing what and it made the vocal space feel very big and real 😊
I had not heard Zero to Hero before that was fun but I've listened to More Than Words a few times now and I love it, it's not their usual arrangement, it shows more of their range not just their wonderful bass. I can't wait for Volume 4!
I haven’t added too many views to the count on More Than Words because I watched it once and went directly to iTunes. It’s on my commute playlist so I hear it ever day. I loved the original but seeing the guys put their spin on it is incredible!
Was waiting for More than Words! Absolutely awesome. I hope they'll do more! And Manav, wow! What fun. It will take many more watches to absorb it all! 😂❤❤
Thank you Mortius, I always enjoy your reactions! Especially as I didn't know about Zero to Hero, I will have to go check it out further. Plus, I LOVE TBG's rendition of more than words. It moved into my head and has been living there rent free for ages. I loved the original way back when, but I think I love this one version even more. As always, I appreciate your commentary, I learn so many things from you.
Don´t worry. I will spread love for More Than Words for sure! And people start reacting to it like DJ already did. Now a couple Vocal coaches and were ready to go. I think Peter intentionally kept it low-key introducing this (something we whip it up quickly, bro...) so the broken down part, high voices and delicate harmonies would be a total surprise. Although Peter said more than Words would be the warm up to Zero to Hero. So I guess it´s Mortius fault to react in reverse 😏
Hello, i just wanted to recommend lydia the bards alice in wonderlands villain song, personally i really like it, especially how it's basically her own mind driving her insane and you seemed to have liked some of her villain songs in the past.
Both songs done very nicely. My only critique on More Than Words would be the guitar was a bit much in some places as it drowned out the beautiful harmonies. Otherwise it was beautiful. Manav is definitely showing his creative chops and abilities. Can't wait to see what he does next. Volume 4 is going to be a blast from the way Peter is talking. Can't wait to see who they got for collaborators and what mind melting music will be unleashed upon us!
I wanna know how i haven't heard of the group before and I follow many a capella groups. 😮 whelp I'm subscribed now, just search them, and I will definitely be checking them out when not listening to audio books or watching reaction videos
@@Finderup16 i have, I listed to a couple of the playlists they created before a baby migraine got me. It's nice to have more diversity to my music choices, when I'm looking for non musical or frequencies to listen to. And it's been something I've been looking for lately.
@@Finderup16 idk how complete this who i listen to is (went through my subscribed list and feels like I'm missing some, i find channels that I should have been subscribed tom because I've listened to them for long time unsubscribed) but there's Pentatonix, Voiceplay, Georgia MerryJones, Jared Halley, Peter Hollens, Geoff Castellucci, Voctave, One Voice Children's Choir, Home Free, Whitney Avalon, Annpantsu, Sam Robson, Elizabeth South, Nick Petera... maybe more but honestly some musicians I follow (if instruments aren't shown can be hard for me to tell if it's a capella or instruments)
Your comment about new headset reminded me that I just got a new headset, and I'm also not going to be ready for future Bass Gang. It'll be quite fun :)
I have watched Zero to Hero so many times by now and everytime Bobby faints, it makes me laugh 😂😂 So many tiny details, it's amazing. Aside from the incredible vocals of course. ❤ Also, Mortius, how about a reaction to Bobby and Vinny's version of "I See Fire"??
You should check out Sam Robson if you haven’t already!! He’s done acapella renditions of many songs, some Disney and Dreamweorks, they are fantastic! I recommend his songs from Prince of Egypt or Earth Song
I've been thinking this literally all week, and then I saw someone comment it on Caspers video today so I'm shamelessly copying them: Please look into the Mechanisms! I'm not sure if there are any animatics but I know Wolfy has at least two clips. Each album is a story, for the most part its set up so every other track is narration and then a song sung by the characters. They have four albums, my favorite is The Bifrost Incident (based on norse mythology but in space!), but I think you'd really like either Ulysses Dies At Dawn (Greek mythology but in space!) or High Noon Over Camelot (Arthurian legend but in space!... and also a cowboy western). Their first album I consider the weakest but its Once Upon A Time in Space (fairy tales but in space!). I doubt there is any demand for this as a series but I genuinely think you would enjoy them if you wanted to listen in your free time. Also great video as usual, I promise I didn't come here just to recommend things lol ETA: You'll probably never see this addition but alas. A good taste fo their style would be the sinlges Alice or Frankenstein. They are like 10 minute songs that are scifi retellings of Alice in Wonderland and Frankenstein respectively. They give a good taste of what a Mechs album is like in one song.
Mechanism mention! Also similar but slightly different vibe: Steam Powered Giraffe! Another band of robots, but smaller and less mythic retelling, more romantic tragedy about being robots in a flesh-and-blood world. Gorgeous harmonies

Zero to Hero is SO FUN and Manav's arrangement is incredible. TBG's version of More Than Words just lives rent-free in my head for weeks at a time.

I like the smiley little dance Bobby does sometimes in these.

The "Bass" Gang and their EPIC ranges for days!!!! Gasping, giggling and melting right along with you, Mortius.
I had not heard of Bass Gang until Casper mentioned them in your Encanto reaction. They are amazing and I am so glad you two introduced me to them.

That was a joy as ever, thank you for the R&A Mortius.
An exceptionally perfect set of songs to react to together. Thank you!
Thanks for a double gorgeous experience Mortius 😊

Love Bass Gang. Manav is pretty new to me, but I will be looking him up. This version of More Than Words is fabulous.
Thank you for doing this!!! Missing your reactions to TBG❤ lovely sweetie, lovely
