Yes I have read Hill House, I love it! "We Have Always Lived in the Castle" is my personal favorie.
I'm doing a buddy read for "The Sundial" by Shirley Jackson this month with AliceAndTheGiantBookshelf, her book club also read We Have Always Lived in the Castle at the beginning of the year (everyone loved it).
I just bought two Lilja Sigurðardóttir books and am excited to try her stuff! (I got White as Snow and Red as Blood)
P.S. don't worry about your accent anyone who would be bothered with it won't be here long enough to hear you apologize, and those of us who do stay don't mind.

It's a long time since I read this, maybe it's time for a reread. I remember watching the old black and white movie adaptation and finding it absolutely terrifying.
I would love to watch a screen adaptation that is true to the book. I enjoy the Netflix show but that one is more of a retelling.
I think I've already said, but I'll repeat for the sake of video engagement, I listened to the audio book for this last Halloween and didn't get on with it. I found it quite dry and meandering. That said, I half think that was due to the format, and that I would have a better experience reading it, so I'll likely try it again. Glad you enjoyed, and as always, enjoyed the video!
