I just came to Laos for the first time to Vientiane, Luang Prabang and my favorite place Hatgna .. there I met a super nice family and I stayed at a hotel .. I’ve been to Thailand Taiwan Japan Singapore and Philippines so I’m used to this type of adventure. I miss the great food. The women there really know how to cook great food. They know how to raise decent respectful loving children and run a household. I miss the nice people being so welcoming and gentle. It was a difficult village to get to and the roads have more curators than the moon itself . And once again I really miss the great food, and sweet people waiting on me and my every comfort.
Always great to hear such nice experiences of Laos.. thank you 🙏
I thank you for your videos. I was an intelligence analyst on the Laos Desk on Gen. Abrams Joint General Intelligence Staff during the war in 1971. I witnessed the tragedy that was the result of delusional policy makers and the people who listened to them. I wish to god that decision makers and the people who advised them knew anything about Laos. Your videos contain more useful information than the hundreds of millions of dollars the US spent on intelligence collection in SE Asia over 2 decades.
Bob, you don't know how much hearing this means to me.. Thank you!
Hey Todd, parcel arrived this morning 😮 beautiful. Thank you and your mum. Hopefully there is away to get the knives to the subscribers. I’m a very happy lad today. Thanks mate. Nev
Now don't go cutting yourself Nev!
Glad it finally arrived mate , thank you 👍
I like the mix of both todd
I love watching your trips all through Laos but find your daily everyday living vlogs my favourite. From shopping in your local markets to showing us the traditional houses and supermarkets to get Falang food.
Ps my favourite place you have visited is definitely Phongsali.
I cannot wait to visit next year!
Thanks Kate.. yeah, after visiting, Phongsali is now my all time favourite place in Laos too 👌
I'd like to see a basic guide on how to get settled out there. Who to talk to upon arrival, how to find somewhere to live, how not to get ripped off as a newbie, that sort of stuff.
Enjoy the daily life videos Mr T - like the local up to date and current activity and appreciate you sharing parts of your day with the viewers 🙏
I want 4 knives!!!
The house for over $300k is kinda crazy in Laos. The infrastructure/location isn’t there for it to be valued at that price. However, value is only based on who’s willing to pay for it.
As a Laotian American, I like a local Video. I was shocked of the price of the house $300k.
I would like both a mixture. I watch your videos all the time, my regular cable is not worth watching. Because of your videos of the history of that area and neighboring countries, i have sought out historical videos re: Lao and its people and ehat they have been through. I was a teenager during that time 1965. Nothing was said about the Secret War. Thank you so much for educating me , and because of that i teached and found out more about everything. I love culture, history and traveling. I jave passed on the information tomyfamily and friends, etc. Thank you very much. I understand the Hmong people now and culture and people of Lao. Good luck and i wishmany blessings for all the good you do to help others. DM
That's great to hear, thank you so much Dolores.. and a mixture of both you will get, as I enjoy mixing it up and doing both. So happy to hear you get so much from the channel 🙏
Take care 💚
Its all good Todd, I appreciate all you and Nini get up, and its all very interesting to me. Paul c/o Townsville
Great to hear, thanks Paul 👍
BBQ chook in a bag = bachelor's handbag. Very appropriate with Neenee away! 😅
hahaha bachelors handbag! Love it 😝
Gday Todd, will be in Vientiane next month, was hoping to come to your restaurant for a feed and say gday but your closed. not to worry, cheers
Todd - If you have a chance to catch up with Pete - would be great to see you share a video 👌👍👋🇦🇺
A daily events video, with a once a week update, sounds like a good idea. Must be lots going on around the capital.
What he said ⬆️ 👍🇦🇺
I just had a big fence erected, cant remember the price per cost, but I Did get them to build the foundation 1 meter from the surface to keep water from undermining
I Love wet season too .. my favorite time of year 👍
It would be nice if they fixed up the road with sidewalks
Nice to see more interviews you have done in the past with different people.
Beachfront property here are very expensive but for properties such as those similar prices.
Mate, I like both the daily life stuff and the trips away! Q&As are also great, thank you.
only been watching your channel for a few weeks now, but I have watched everything to the last 8 months. I like your trip videos and daily life videos,
Great effort mate.. thanks.
We love the travel videos and the ones about home life. Anything that reminds us of Laos.👍
I hope you enjoy! Looks nice 👍🙏
Awesome job Todd, great vid.
Mate, love your videos. Been watching for years. Would love to buy a block for retirement… just don’t have a Lao wife!
Your walk abouts are great Todd, trips around town, all very interesting! 👍👍👍🙏
Yeah daily life and trips, your vids are all first rate. Drone shots are next level. Always look forward to the next one. Cheers from Brisbane.
Champion! Thanks Peter 👍
They look like really nice houses. Thanks for showing us around. Interesting to see. 👍🏻
It OK. Nice this type of video too.
Those knives look very familiar, look like the same ones people have used stabbing me in my back during my life , hope you get my point.
The trees are so nice in your compound.
I like your road trip videos.
Cross the bridge and post them from Thailand
🤗🙏🏼!
I like both away videos and the ones of around the neighborhoods, but I favor a little more of the road trips.
Thank you for all you do.
Take care.
Some local update videos are OK in my book. I enjoy the travel videos also. Thanks!
Its raining here in Chiang Mai Thailand too… sometimes
wow,you have many Hmong knives 😁
Hi Todd. That's going to be quite a chunky F'off fence. No looking in or out unless you're on the upper floor. I like both local and travel Vlogs Todd. Everyday life in the capitol is interesting to see. Cheers. Btw...lightening and storms are so relaxing to me.
Just keep it up, love to see this country and your daily life. Dee Mak khap
I was on Vientiane almost 6 years ago for a month. Didn't get out of town. But still would like to see more of the city. Also the country. I hope to return and do the new train. Thanks.
Thank you your doing a great job and have a lovely restaurant and hope you and Neenee are well and very happy, Peace, Love ✌💓
Eating out is always cheaper
Thanks!
Champion! Thank you Kirk 🙏
I enjoy all your content off Lao.
Todd have you thought of doing some YT shorts for daily/weekly updates? Might get one that goes viral. That would be all good. Wouldn't it?
Hmm let me think on that.. 😉
Good to see that they're fixing your road Todd. It was a bit of an adventure negotiating the water filled pot-holes by tuk-tuk in the dark !
Would like to see more of Vientiane. I’ve only been to a couple parts . Without private transportation I don’t go far
I like the daily. Mate, a bit of banter and a little adventure is great. I do not want to see many more of secret outposts, only because I want them to remain untouched.
Keep them safe
. Like the situational and local life vids
I would like to see the restaurant when it's busy. That would be interesting. Seeing Neenee the Captain in action.
Todd can't you all them chef's knives. We can buy all the fancy Japanese butcher knives here in the states
I could call them butter knives or tooth picks.. but Lao postal service will still not let them fly. 😏
Thanks
This is a huge help.. thank you Stephen 👍
BOTH ARE GOOD TODD
Lot of old chooks in that market

Maaate... Where I'm at, Cambodia's just down the road 😉
Both local videos and trips.I am interested in Viet Tien.

raise our contribution in Patreon. . Daily Life Video is a great idea. Looking forward to them. All the best Todd and Neenee 🙏👍👍🙏 from Jim and Harriet Richmond, Va.
Just a guess but, I think those brick are going to be used for veneer on the wall. Then they will have a choice to leave them show or trrowel over them and add a coat of paint. Can't wait to see the new road. 🙏👍
Todd, you are great person . Your video in laos are more pleasant than when I got drunk some time. It took me awhile to realize myself. Remember Bee is his son Soua.
Love your vlogs!! Watch them regularly. They make my life better...give me a renewed faith in mankind. Also love the 60's rock...Hendricks, etc. You and Nene are the best!!
They don't make music like that anymore.. Thanks
👍🏼
What’s the weather like in late November?
Which temple is that at 4:25? I think it’d be really cool if you showed and toured various temples on this channel.
I'll be seeing you in October 2023 I'd like to buy one.
Daily events
Crikey mate! You have one of those very close veins on your leg!
Nah mate.. I've got worms
A house like yours here in our top neighbourhoods will give you rental income of 3000$ us to 5000$us.For 5000$ you throw in gardner and cook .
👍🙂
Forgot....Todd, you have a very strong accent. What foreign country are you from? (ha).
ty..xoxo 🥰✌🤟👍🖐🤪

Good Day Mate. How does one contact you? I am planning a trip to Laos and would love to meet you and nenee. I am currently in Koh Samui Thailand.
💯🔥💙👍
I could live there, except I love my fishing too much.
You can still fish here mate😉
That's too bad. The wife and I will be in Vientiane for a month in July. Never mind....we will eat at your restaurant another time. Keen to meet up for a couple of quiets though if you are keen.
Couple of quiet ones would be good.. unfortunately we'll be back on the road start of July. Gonna have to be another time sorry mate
@@NowinLao No worries. Enjoy your trip and we’ll catch up in the future.
Might have to visit Vietnam or Thailand...
Would love to travel Vietnam more, but it would be very hard to travel the way we're used to in as they don't accept the international drivers permit.
Thanks for the contribution too mate.. you're a bloody legend.. again!💪😉
How about USA PLEASE
hmm, check again - I had 2 in my luggage back to Europe :/ no hassles...
I'm talking about posting them.. there's no problem taking them in your lugguage
How much for the land ?
_Frist!_ 🤣
Terrance beat ya by a minute 👊😝
@@NowinLao
Oh!! I'm gutted! 🤕😂
How much does a block go for there?
FYI- I don't think foreigners are allowed to own land in Lao PDR . 🥺🥺🥺
That's right 👌
No problem with the knives . Give them to an Aussie visitor and they can take the lot in their checked luggage .and Bibs your ………!
My first question: How long could I stay in LAO, if I'm not married to one of the ladies there?
You don't need to be married to a Lao citizen to stay as long as you want. LA-B2 is the visa number.
Its so much better, doing great things for Mother Earth..... And helping Mountain Hmong communities. I am coming to Laos and helping too and do lots of volunteer work . Teaching Free English, Sports, Cooking International & Local Traditional cuisine. I see you are truely passionate, like me. I am a Chef and a world class soccer player- not Pro. I want to teach & coach soccer to Hmong kids and gift them with more opportunities. Love your show and Restaurant and fulfilling work. I reckon you could do some assistance with some Rovers, like me when i get there, 😊. I am a Chibese Thai Lao Mongolian Wok Chef and Hmong. I am looking to retire there too. Its is Paradise_even though the difficulties of The Hmong People and others too. Puttbg smiles on people faces is the the ultimate. You doing a terrific thing and i want to be involved too 😂Jay Jay Yang
Keep your show going...i like to help and join. Thanks Mate for your time...😂i just got a superman jacket too
Hi all. I'm coming to lao in December. I have a full UK motorcycle licence. Is it possible to rent a big motorcycle in lao.....for 2or3 weeks. 👍
How much for the land ? Lao has never seen anybody like me before , I could put a nice restaurant on the land ha ha .
Doesn’t matter which videos you put up by enjoy them all Todd what is the link to your patriot page please
Hey Stephen, thanks mate. The link is above in the description of the video.. cheers 😉
todd i didnt see a reply to why do they wear red aprons in all the markets
👍
Thx Todd. Both types and in-depth ones. For instance, the Lao Funeral. My Lao Mother in Law just died. The whole process, death to funeral, and after is completely foreign to falangs.
Maybe too personal, so pick another. Lao Families accepting Falangs in their Family. Falang = Foreigner.
K
P.S. My Lao Wife has at least 2 of those knives in the car.
Have you seen this video Keiran.. I captured exactly what you're talking about when Neenee's brother passed away.. th-cam.com/video/x6agsH7oOiw/w-d-xo.html
@@NowinLao wow already done. I'll have to think of something more personal 555
Have you checked in on Charles lately?
I'm pretty sure sure Charles has moved into their new home as I haven't seen him around lately.
I love the way you are making ‘chooks’ an international word! I think something just Australians know. 😂
And when we still lived in Australia it was no issue bringing in the knifes. I have bought some great Hmong knives since we moved to Luang Prabang. Good for chopping the tops off coconuts lol😂
"Chickens" sounds so formal 😏
Mum had no trouble getting the knives through customs.. even declared it had a wooden sheath and handle and they just waved her through. It's the Lao postal service that is making it difficult now 😏
Do you know anything about the banking/tax system in Laos? Thinking about opening a bank account there
