Great video. I just entered my 30s and just said how I’m sick of settling for low paying jobs. I want to live a certain lifestyle and my 9-5 is just not cutting it for me, so i decided to go to lpn school and start this fall.
Everything you said!!! I’m tired of people acting like nurses have to wanna do the job for free and bend over backwards and treat patients like babies. I’m simply not doing it. It just adds to burnout. I have boundaries and I stick to them. No, I’m not your personal maid. My heart will be in it once the hospital CEOs heart is it in. 🤷🏽♀️ Until then, I’m for the streets (safely and competently, of course).
I definitely wanted to hear this also, I definitely want out of trucking, I am in my last 2 months of nursing school, I will be a Registered Nurse very soon! Its been a long journey
Same here CJ!! I love the freedom that heathcare provides. From the age of 16 years old ive always had multiple jobs and have always been a hard worker but i always knew that i did not want to work like that forever. I was never the 9-5 type meaning working 5 days a week.....going into the same building everyday all day for 50 years then retire and by then not have the health to enjoy retirement. Spending more time at a job than with my family and friends or doing other things that i enjoy. The only way that i can see myself doing something like that is if i was working for myself which is a goal of mine. I also am not the one to beg for time off. Thats something that i will never understand. Lol just the thought of being a whole adult and having to ask another person if i can go on vacation just doesnt sit well with me. The thing that i love to do the most is travel and any job that i cant work and get my trips in with is not for me. I was a law student on my way to being an attorney when i realized that was not the life for me. Switched my career back to healthcare and now im a nurse with so much freedom. I can move anywhere in the country and have a job. I can work when i want. Travel when i want. Have whatever schedule i want. I love it!!!

A couple of things you said one nursing is definitely what you make it I watched my sister’s lives improve drastically once they became lpn and even more as RN Second I wanted to thank you brother for posting content as it was part of the push for me to join lpn school I’m in my second semester starting May 6 and one more after this, you video on lpn making 100k pushed me as well as having a newborn son. Thank you brother I’ll keep you posted.

I remember during pandemic or right at the beginning when your channel was brand new and you were encouraging men to become male nurses. I was before I had even gone to nursing school. I think you were featured on the lead attorneys channel. Little did I know I would come back and subscribe. You’ve been incredibly helpful for my mindset ever since I got out of nursing school thank you so much, man.
You are such an inspirational and motivational person! Even though I'm not pursuing nursing anymore, I still find your channel so inspiring! You inspire me to continue growing in my career choice (medical field related). You are right about the medical field. There are so many options. You just have to find your niche in it because the possibilities are endless. I love your channel. You inspire millions of young people who come across your channel. I considered being a truck driver too or home health nursing doin visits-I get too many haters in the nursing homes threatening me and my license whenever they are in a bad mood
I have no idea how you showed up on my algorithm. Just from watching a few of your videos, I sincerely get you. I was a LPN for 8 years(worked strictly in LTC) & now a RN for 16 years (last 8 in corporate nursing). Corporate nursing saved my career!! BTW-I am a MSN. EVERYTHING you are saying is right on the money. Keep the videos coming & educate the masses about our plight. 🫶🏾
I love nursing and I love the healthcare field as a whole, but it will never get better if we don’t start holding patients responsible! We’ll forced to baby them and not properly do our job!

Remember that there’s over 120 different types of nursing that you can do. You can even be a gym nurse.
