I’m at a point where I literally cannot afford to NOT be a nurse. Making $3k/week take home as a travel nurse working 3 days a week is hard to find. Never get comfortable in this nursing game, always have your plan A through C. Great channel! Keep hustling peeps and know that you should have at least 20 K in your savings to make it out here!!!

Working the bare minimum, part time: is a great lifestyle for when you have worked for 20-30 years in the field. But when you are young (20s, 30s, 40s), work full time and overtime. With a nursing license, you never need to live in poverty. It’s your choice.
Learn about money management. Work with an accountant and a finance coach if you need to. People are often spending on dumb things: financing a huge new SUV, plastic surgery, etc. Living beyond their means. Make some goals: professional and money goals. And stick to them!

No lies told, I'm coming up on my first year as a BSN nurse, and I've made $100,000. I have two more checks and a bonus, and my final gross will probably be more like $115,000/$120,000. 🗣FROM A NEW GRAD STAFF NURSE! Ya'll better stop BSing and go get this money!

Can you share what state you live in? I’m a new grad that lives in South Florida and I know I have to move in order to make that type of income.

A Nursing license is like a ticket to a buffet, just like we have so many meals on offer at a buffet so does nursing have so many specialties to choose from. How much you eat is up to you. Isnt it absurd to hear someone at buffet, Hungry?

Even though I am not a nurse, I do get confused how some nurses are "broke". I say this not because of regional reasons (the south doesn't pay all that great), but the flexibility in what being a nurse provides. Being a nurse, you can work remotely, be a contract worker/traveling, you can work for the government, the school district, being an educator in the field to teach up and coming new nursing students. They can choose any shifts: overnight, days, evenings. There are very few careers that offer that and yes, nursing is a career. I think too many look at it as a job.

Some ppl need career coaching too
Sometimes poverty is a mindset choices and a spiritual generational curse thing that is difficult to get out of, but this is a very motivating message!
    Thanks for the video

Did you know if the nurses at my workplace had your mentality then my job as a patient care secretary would be so much more pleasant. I know being a nurse is stressful but so many nurses are in their feelings when patients @ patient families complain. Some nurses only come for the paycheck & they dreaded coming to work . I’m like busting my @ss for 18.50 an/hr working extra while these nurse managers are making double & triple ordering staff around. And I began to ask myself what’s different between them & me? I’m hard working, smart & dedicated. I made the decision I don’t want to be a nurse but quit to go back to school for RT. In 2 years I will finish & I estimate I’ll be making at least 80k. You always look happy & love what you do. I wish there were more nurses like you. ❤❤

Everybody don’t got that hustle in them or a hustler’s mentality. All they do is complain and see everything in a negative aspect. I love the opportunities in the nursing field definitely life changing financially.

I was never modeled “hustle culture” from my parents or older family members growing up..As a single mom to two teenagers who removed her tubes I value work/life balance because I don’t want to miss vital development stages. In five years both of mine will be graduates 🎉 and it’s onnn!! I soo desire that hustle and bustle..In the meantime I’m stacking my bread and switching my focus to bridging. Very informative video. Lesson learned: it’s also important to incorporate exercise when hustling to “balance” the mental stress of of a hustlers mentality and having a goal also helps!!

I've always wanted to be a nurse but I never believed that I could do it. I am now ready and want to better my life for myself and my family. My husband and I have paid off so much debt and have bought 2 houses because we've learned how to budget and invest on a average income. Once I am a nurse, we will be able to invest so much more and that excites me. Thinking about getting my lpn 1st because I have 3 kids, one who is special needs so I want to get into the field as fast as possible without having to do all the prerequisite courses. Any advice you fellow nurses can give me and I will gladly take it ☺️

100% agree. Outside of catastrophic life events that wiped out your finances or your ability to work, no nurse who's been in the field for more than 3 years should be broke.

While going through a divorce with 2 little girls and being a home maker I knew instantly 19 years ago that my accounting degree could not afford me the lifestyle and the adventure I was seeking. I feel so blessed that I was disciplined to take the courses and get my BSN. Once in it you have to find your niche and diligently go get it. I asked God to order my steps. He answers prayers!!! Ya herrr! My student loans were wiped out. PBTA! You have trust the Creator and step out on faith.

Yeah, I made the bad decision to attempt the ABSN, multiple times. Whoever made the rule that ABSN students are mandated to take statistics, or higher level chemistry, because if not, they are somehow just incapable of being a nurse....can kiss my grits, and kick rocks with no sucks fr!
The man and the system is fool of it because there are many RN to BSN bridge programs that don't require statistics, or o- chem and I highly doubt nurses are just making crazy mistakes because they're not bomb at either of these.
The man wanna make me do "nursing stats, ir "nursing chem," fine, I'll put my tap dancing shoes on for a grip, but straight up math nerd ish, makes no sense that if that ain't my thing, that some how, some way, I'm not compitent to ever become a nurse.
What's funny as 've been straight in all other classes, all my time in previous heath care care roles, that include being a CNA, head of wound care for multiple physical therapy departments, as well as in my bachelor's degre, etc
I'm just crazy 🔥 at the moment because I wasted to many years and to much time, trying to save time and money, only to back slide like a mug because of some ish with statistics and organic chemistry.
Salute to your channel and content for keeping it funky and a buck!
