I’m a Registered Nurse and I totally agree with your video. I document every thing that I do after the work is completed not before I do it. I do my own vital signs, blood sugars and patient care for my patients due to the fact that some CNA’ will not do anything for the patients and put down false vital signs. Being that I was a CNA 13 years and now RN for 3 years, I don’t play when it comes to my nursing license because I work to dam hard to let some people get me out of my character and report me. I don’t trust anyone on my floor, lots of gossiping about each other, always noticing what type of work shoes that I wear every weekend, nurses friends with the nurse manager so a lot of favoritism as well. We have rapids and codes every freaking weekend because the patients needs more monitoring versus being on the medical surgical floor, as far as the white nurses, don’t trust at all because they think are better, have 2 travelers nurses right now and they feel like they don’t wipe up poop or bed bath. My husband always tells me to go to work and do my job, you’re not there to make friends. I have learned to document everything, call the doctor when the patient needs has changed especially temperatures and blood pressure! Just make sure yall cover your ass 💯🙏🏽👌🏽😉❤️at all times. Stay woke RN, LPN, CNA’s 🤗

I'm a medication aide ,I was reprimanded because I wasn't friends with know one in the assisted living facility I was working at.over here in Texas med aides are over a unit or units once the charge nurse leaves the unit to go home.i told my unit manager that I'm here to work not be friends with no one here.the other med aides during the day shift would let her helpers watch tv, do what ever they wanted to do, just lazy, patients not being fed or changed.i worked the night shift ,we worked 12 he shift.during shift changed I'm ready to start my shift, once my cart is counted which it's wasn't,I turned the TV off the morning med aid and her helpers got mad at me ,wanted to know why i turned it off as if I always left it on why counting the med cart.so me and the morn med aid had words ,and I told her I never count the cart when there is a distraction.i'm coming on to work and she getting off 🤦.i'm protecting my med aide certification.

I worked in 3 nursing homes. My first job I was a friendly nurse to everyone. The residents loved and complimented my smile.
I was close to the managers. That made the co-workers jealous. They started to bully me. It was unbelievable. The third nurse how was wonderful. We accomplished a lot. We had respect.
Now i am in a new job in psychiatric care.
I agree with this video. Thank you for your brave decision to make this video.

If you want your freedom & stay out of politics don’t be a staff nurse. Nurses that work in the office are a totally different animal than the ones that work in the field.

Especially don’t trust people who are super nice & treat you like they are your confidant. I feel I made the mistake of telling my coworker too much even though they were complaining about the exact same thing. Thank you

They will definitely try you & it is very heavily two faced, & people will do anything to throw you under the bus! This alone has made me reconsider healthcare heavily.
At this point, I just do my job and go home. I don’t want to be there more than I have too. So I don’t pick up any extra shifts.

Trust is earned over time, always CYA, and pick your friends very wisely.
Never gossip about co-workers at work, in social media, or with anyone.
Only confide in your most trusted friends. Otherwise a secret will only remain a secret if only one person knows it.
