Wolfenstein 3 is in the works. I think for next gen. Then Doom 3 would continue in 4 or 5 years might be sooner however as devs are claiming that its easier to develop for Xbox SX and Ps5 hardware than it was for PS4/XBO.

Now that we think about it, the original Icon of Sin didn't do jackshit and just summoned demon mooks to fight for it. That and the fact that three rockets to its brain while you stood on top of a pillar that's conveniently right in front of it were enough to bring it down. ID certainly made sure this Icon of Sin reigned supreme above all other puny demons.
If you tilt your head and squint a bit... he really should do it. After all, the Doom Slayer "killed" the most powerful demon by himself. He's the ultimate badass

Epic final boss, but they should have had the player drive the sword into his head as a finishing glory kill. That seemed like such a big missed opportunity.
In most games to kill the final boss, you need some kind of special weapon or you have to solve some kind of puzzle. In Doom, you just fricking shoot it.
And you will be their Savior, your strength will be the shield, and your will their sword,you remain unbroken and your might is eternal(my new favorite quote)

Finally got around to beating this one after the first one and loved them both nothing bad to say, both games were excellent except for that Unmaykr Weapon which is crap, it eats up the BFG ammo way to quick and some enemies take too many shots to kill and the only reason why I went back to unlock it was because I ended up clearing the hardest gates and left out easiest one's and that''s because the easier gates were actually much harder to find the key for while the gates in the harder levels were way too easy to unlock. Anyways the fortress of doom was a great idea and pretty much allows them to keep making sequels. Man I wish they also could do Duke Nukem games because it's pretty much he same shit just way more material to work with.
I beat this and 2016 on nightmare and holy hell. One of the proudest gaming achievements. It's weird watching this guy take all of these hits and be barely moving around the map
So this boss is just a massive bullet sponge that takes all your ammo while the only real threat is add spam of all the enemies in the game, with conveniently placed stand still enemies to chainsaw for health and ammo? Nice!
Unlike DOOM 2016, here you must fight the Final Boss along with a bunch of deamons : not sure I like it ! Final Boss fight must be EXCLUSIVE in my opinion...

I've fought it on Ultra-Violence and it took me like an hour. In this video he probably plays on a lower difficulty option.

Doom 3 has low resolution but color and texture is better to real photo picture.
