    Solid gold. Great information with enough detail but not too much detail. This actually works and helps. Tons of golf videos out there. Most are gimmicks. Others are either too much or not enough. This hits sweet spot. He boils it down so we can all use and understand it. Not easy to do.

    After years of taking lessons and watching hundreds and hundreds on the Internet, I believe that nobody does it better than Padraig Harrington, plus he has the coolest name of all. Thanks for taking the time to drop them on TH-cam for free Mr. Harrington.
    When I get back to playing this year after a couple year hiatus, I follow his instructions in my side yard for a while before without a ball.

    When I was a kid, I used to swing it hard and fast and funnily enough the ball
    Would go long and straight !! Then I ran into golf coaches who would say resist the hips on the way bk and clear the hips on the way thru. It would never work and I can only thank Paddy for confirming what I thought was true all along. We should all
    Strive for Effortless Power rather than Powerful Effort !!

    Looking forward to each new episode.
    I picked up the SuperSpeed Golf set last winter along with the PRGR monitor. Nice to say that I've been able to pick up some lost yardage across my entire bag. Getting older. I noticed my driver had fallen off to the low 220's. Swing speed was pretty abysmal. Back up to 245-50 with one or two each round in the 260's (yds). With the increase in swing speed, I'm striking the ball more solidly as well. Very pleased.

    Great recommendation to do air swings and experiment with what you can do to move the club faster. Did this about a month or so ago and found a tempo and movement that went way faster. Took it to the range, turns out i could hit balls doing it. Now its my swing. Noticeable difference in distance on all clubs, especially driver.

    Took delivery of a prgr monitor last night and this morning in the yard I'm just at 90mph! Seriously missing something in my swing and I'm almost certain it's down to not getting on my left side early enough. I tell you what it's bliddy hard work I think swinging in the back yard and trying to increase my swing speed is better than actually playing golf!

    Hi Padraig, I've been a huge fan of your channel. Can you do an episode on distance control with your wedges and irons? I'm currently losing 6-7 strokes/round from 25yrds to 125yrds and mostly that's down to not getting the wedge (or short iron) shots close enough to the pins. Thanks.

    Many ways to swing and release the absolute move you must do is to pressure the lead side. Thing is if you've throwN a baseball especially in infield throw you can get to the lead side early. To me it's the same move and it's critical for higher speed.

    I think a golfer always has to learning more about swing technique.....and putting it into practice, Self-assessment is a key part of that...and many just don't think in a methodical analytical way. The finesse of chipping and putting....is really in the endgame, in my opinion.....after you've eliminated the vast majority of tee and fairway frustration.

    • @martynzl

    • @scottmcfarling
      @scottmcfarling 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I also get a lower reading without the ball. Thought maybe it gets the reading before the club gets to full speed when it is closer. Or maybe I just give it an extra pop when the ball is there.
      Still I really like the PRGR. Had a cheaper one (RYP RADAR) that broke after a few months.

      @@bassmasta9117 The monitor is not infallible, at times I find it will pick up the ball speed and have that as the club speed. You should be able to gauge this as you use it more. For example my max with an 8i is 88mph, my course cruising speed is around 80-82mph but sometimes when i use the monitor at the practice nets before going out it will read over 100mph. I know I can't physically manage that speed so I ignore it.
