  • For all golfers, especially those at the amateur level, awareness of where the clubface is at impact is the key to playing good golf. Put simply, if you get your clubface right, your body will follow. 👍

literally found his videos Friday night, went out Saturday with his pelvis video and shot my lowest front 9(37-3 bogeys, 2 birdies and the rest pars) and lowest score ever with an 82.(I have a bad right hip and becomes extremely stiff so shot a 9 over on the back 9). Now I am binging all his videos and implementing every aspect of his videos into my game and hopefully break 80 soon

Paddy is knowledgeable but certainly not the “only teacher” who knows what he’s talking about. That’s like saying Butch Harmon is clueless because he’s not a pro. Let’s calm down a bit.

Not only is it great that you take time to do this for us mere mortals Padraig, but you're also so good as a teacher, tone of voice etcetera, makes you want to pay attention. I also have the feeling that the videos are not overly edited, so you're apparently really good at telling a coherent story in one take, that is also a real talent

You deliver numerous ways for the student to grasp what you are trying to convey. And of course, since you have walked the walk, there is no denying the technique is sound. Absolutely, the best golf teaching information on the internet!! Please continue the lessons indefinitely.

Great advice. I have said for years that golf instructors try to teach a professional swing that almost no one can reproduce. 95% of the people who play golf would be happy to just hit the ball in the right direction. and that's why this video is perfect. I don't think anyone else explains the inner workings of the golf swing so well as Padraig does, it's just brilliantly no nonsense and concise. In my opinion there couldn't be anyone better to learn the game from than a tried and tested champion golfer who has probably hit more golf balls than I've taken breaths. I would recommend to anyone seeking to learn about the game to watch his whole series. Cheers Mr Harrington 👍

Paddy, I think this is the best video out there for understanding how the golf swing works. Went to the range and just worked on closing the club face at address. Started hitting these wonderful, towering balls that flew for miles. Never have I ever hit balls like that and I was getting compliments on my swing from the guy next to me. I guess I was always addressing the ball with an open club face and stance and no matter what I did with my body I could never correct it. So now my practice is just toying with the club face to see what the outcome is. Absolutely over the moon with the progress I've made in such a short period of time. All because of this video. Thank you so much. ❤

Padraig, if what you said here about the hands and wrists controlling the body and not the other way around is true, as I think it might be, it should be recognized as being as important as Ben Hogan's discovery of the swing plane. We all want golf to be fun, and nothing contributes more to that than the feeling of mastery we all feel by striking the ball well. With the technology available today we can practice ball striking with the shorter irons first, experimenting with club path and face-to-target angles, attack angles, and apex heights. Moving the ball all around at will to build skill and confidence in ball striking so that when we play we experience the fun of mastery over ball striking. Work backwards from the hands, and the body will follow. I can't wait to practice this! Thank you, Padraig!!

Very good. I’m more of an “experienced” golfer with my age and all. I have arthritis in my fingers, especially my right hand. I play with the thick grips,(Jumbomax), ever since they came out. I couldn’t play golf without them. My ring finger on my right hand won’t close. I agree with everything you mentioned, and very true. This is the first video I’ve seen of yours. Looking forward to others. I’ve seen you play in Memphis over the years, as I live in the south. I’m not from Ireland, but we both have the same last name. This is perfect timing. I’ve finally engrained an in to out swing. However not consistently squaring the face and that results in way right misses. I was searching for something to help figure that out. I knew it was about the bowing the lead hand, just can’t get that “feeling” sorted out. This should help with lots of repetition.
