    That doesn't sound very reliable at all actually -- I'm nearly 130k miles in my 9 year old Toyota Prius and the worst I've yet to do on it is a coolant flush as part of its scheduled maintenance!

      I am lucky to drive 6000 miles a year. I am retired and I am home most of the time. A deer took out my 2018 Taurus with only 24k miles on it and I bought my 24 Maverick Lariat a month ago

    Check engine lights, CV boots and axile, in a year. Boy have we lowered our expectations. If that happens I call it junk. Auto makers want top dollar for junk, it's absurd.

      My Mazda three has 150,000 miles it’s a 2014 model all I’ve done is oil change and brakes. You have to be a lunatic to keep these for Mavericks wants the warranty is up. Those hybrid components are not cheap.

      It's a 20k car. My 2016 Tacoma has 70k with 0 problems (knock on wood). My 2019 Tacoma with 50k has 0 problems too. ( Knock on wood lol). Actually, I did blow the trash shocks that come in the trd off road from flying through washboard with a load. Easy and cheap fix. I upgraded the suspension though.

    • @alexgarcia3900

    You can lower the noise level by installing the foam insulation that goes at the back of the front fenders an front doors if you open your door you can look into the engine bay on the passenger side you can see the windshield washer can they are 100.00 at the Ford dealer the noise is down an you can tell when you close the doors i have no idea why they were not installed at build

    You have been clocking on the miles. I have had good luck with my Fords over the last 30 years. They never left me stranded. I had a couple of GM products leave me stranded and my 87 Buick Century Limited was the WORST car I ever owned. My 2018 Taurus was one of the best cars if not the best car I ever owned and I have owned a couple of Hondas over the years and I currently own a 09 Honda CRV.

    Though those issues are frustrating, they are not too bad considering you put quite a bit of mileage on the truck in that first year of ownership. Thankfully, you caught them within the warranty period. We are looking to order ours soon, but the Toyota Stout is giving us pause to see what they do. We are longtime Toyota fans. Loved my Lancruiser with 315K miles on it, then traded it for a 2007 Tundra which is still going quite strong.

    • @thejmcGarage
      @thejmcGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would put much faith in the Toyota Stout since nothing has been officially confirmed by Toyota. If anything the upcoming Toyota Tacoma Hybrid looks more promising.

      @the_original_landcruisers ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@thejmcGarage - We are looking for a vehicle we can pull behind our motorhome and the Tacoma is too heavy. That is why we were looking for something in the same size/weight range as the Maverick. If Toyota doesn't announce something soon, then Maverick it will be. We do really like the Maverick, so buying it would not be a negative in our minds, we just wanted to have more selection between brands.

      This is a great video. Thank you very much. I'm sixty seven years old and never ordered a new vehicle before. Yes, i'm just too cheap. I looked at the numbers on the maverick and it looked like the vehicle was priced ten thousand dollars less than it was worth so I ordered one.
      I ordered my 2022 XLY hybrid (to get Cruise Control) November 3, 2021. In August they made me change to a 2023. Lucky for me, the rebate covered most of the price rise. According to ford they will start assembly tomorrow! I might even receive this car in my lifetime!
      I'm curious, since you commute an amount necessary also,. What is your average MPG?

  • @EMRoscoe
    @EMRoscoe 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I just passed 2 years on my '22. Only 4000 miles. Really. My only issues have been lots of recalls, some they don't have solutions too (not good), and poor service. Dealerships do not give a rats butt. Oil change #1, did not reset oil life (first dealer); oil change #3 (different dealer) again noted they reset oil life, nope! On the airbag recall same dealer as the oil change #3, left panels not connected, stuffing coming out of the headliner, general poor fininshing touches and a 9/16" nut that probably belongs inside a door somewhere. On the good side: I like the mpg and the fact that I willingly bought a cheap vehicle, so my expectations match the poor build, the poor entertainment system, and the fact that I will be able to unload it with very few miles on it.

A buddy mechanic works for a conglomerate dealer and had his choice to remain with Toyota or go with Subaru. He went with Subaru as a Toyota fanboy he claims Toyota dependability is a thing of the past and now they like to deny claims as much as possible.. it's a new world folks... I must say, you have very low standards for reliability. I consider reliability everything you said plus not having issues over 200K miles. That’s what I had with my Corolla. Felt no different at 200K miles than at day 1. That’s why I went with a Tacoma. Not knocking on the Maverick. Love everything about it except I don’t consider them reliable IMO. Based on just those issues you had so far, I’d say it’s NOT reliable.
