When i got my 22' Maverick AWD, I found out within the first day or so that all 4 tires were overinflated to 44psi. So i deflated them down to 35psi cold but immediately doubted other things like how full the PTU and rear diff fluids were. Sure enough, both the PTU and rear diff were low by 150ml. My Maverick recently made it to 28,761 miles and I did a drain and fill of both. Both magnets were almost to their capacity with metal shavings, but the fluid that drained out was almost like new. I didn't put it back in, cuz the Motorcraft fluids are not expensive. Anyway, I probably would have seen gray fluid if the fluid was left at the factory level from the magnets unable to hold any more shavings. Lastly, all the miles on my Maverick have been trouble free. I did the first oil change myself at 1,200 miles and 5,000 or less since then.
Just wondering how many miles did you have on the truck when you did this? My maverick only has 5k on it but hearing things are underfilled makes me nervous.
Thanks for watching! Here is a list of tools/parts I used to change my 2023 Ford Maverick AWD PTU Fluid! Up next this week: Transmission & RDU Fluid.
Using this guide for my escape thank you
Killin it! Good job dude!

So proud of Ford for finally putting a drain plug on their PTUs. Not quite "Lifetime Fluid", turns out.
No such thing!
@TheMavGuy You mention removing do not remove plug in your transmission service but do not say if it screws off or do you pry it off?
So how much fluid did you use to determine if it was under filled at the factory?
Only og people know happy power 😂
How much oil did you end up using?

How many miles do you have on this truck ?
Only 13,000 miles. Fluid was very dirty already, hoping the better quality fluid helps.
Скільки мастила ви використали?
Sure it was underfilled? You had that side of the truck jacked up. Fluid would have ran to the low side.
Still a great vid tho. Gotta do mine soon.
