Absolutely wonderfully done! Your tutorials are so so so so helpful to some like me who is just starting out . I think would be even more helpful, in addition to explaining effects, to play examples of how the effects change the sound. For a beginner, it is hard to conceptualize such abstract ideas from descriptions alone.

How do I access the effects rack using the keyboard? I am blind and I cannot find it, plus the mouse is impossible for me to use (because of blindness.)

I have an audio track setup and have added all kinds of effects to the rack one at a time and none work. What am I missing?

Huh. My version of Sonitus:reverb does come with presets (in the 'presets' menu). I almost always use on of the presets; they tend to need very little tweaking as long as I pick the right one to begin with.

So i just barely moved on from my old Cakewalk Music Creator LE 5. Being that this is pretty much the updated version would you say the effects should be compatible to move over to this program?

I was using MC6 for years myself, and CbB is definitely an improvement. The Pro Channel has great features and everything is free.

really cool! but I have a question; I work on a radioplay in which a music track is loud and clearly and then slowly fades, until the listener understands it is coming out of an radio. How do I tell cakewalk the EQ changes while playing the track?

Can you use a plugin but not as an insert and as effect similar to the editing mode in adobe audition? Thanks!

Can you tell me what advantage there is to applying effects onto the track as opposed doing it in the Pro Channel, and vice versa?

I have a question if you've got a second. I've been using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 for YEARS until my hard drive recently crashed. In that version, audio effects were found in the edit drop-down menu, under "Audio Effects". When applied to an inserted wav file, the effect would destructively change the wav, so that you could apply effect after effect without limitation. It seems like they did away with that in this version. is that true, or does destructive wav editing still exist? Thanks in advance!

Thinking of upgrading from Audacity and OcenAudio. Up to how many effects can one track take at a time?

    • @YourHomeRecording

I don't think there is one. Not that I've reached anyways. Of course, you can be limited by CPU and RAM resources, depending on your computer.

Question for you or if anyone in comments can answer. I just scanned and installed STS 24 for Cakewalk, the track is made and the interface pops up but when I select a sound in the interface to play no sound is made, even though all the controls seem ready to be adjusted. This might be something silly that I'm forgetting to do or don't know how to do but any help can be appreciated.

@Bill Payne I've found that I can load a midi file containing all midi tracks. Then I go to the Browser view (you can open it with the B key or View - Browser), select the Plugins tab and then Instruments (third icon).
From there I've added a General MIDI track with the Cakewalk TTS-1 component and then I've changed each midi's track output to that Cakewalk TTS-1, so what will sound out of there is the processed midi. Be sure to process all tracks because it seems it adds a bit of a delay on them.
You can add multiple Cakewalk TTS tracks to process different effects if you want.
The good part is that you can now add cool FXs to those tracks, so the already processed midi tracks will receive them.
Not sure if that's the optimal way, but it works :)
      Hope that helps.

unfortunately no but there are workarounds apparently - big problem - I use Cakewalk by BandLab and Platinum before that but am thinking of trying Reaper for this reason

This is idiotic as can be. He "explains" where to find and how to manoeuvre the effects but just names them and doesn't show what the effects can do. Wasted time.
