@@rcopterboy 70% of restaurants give or take, fail within the first year. by year 10 almost 90% have failed. A lot of these restaurants would have failed anyway. The reason why Gordon wanted to stop the show was because he got tired of revamping these restaurants, only to find out that the owners went back to their old ways, didn't stick to the changes, and having his name attached to them when they failed. Out of all the restaurants he "saved" less than 20 still exist, and almost all of the ones that failed reverted. The ones that found success, stuck with his advice. Not exactly surprising. Ramsey has failed in his restaurants. He's found success. All his advice and criticism was based on his experiences, it was up to the owners to realize that and change course.

It’s simple; jobs are hard to get, and they get less than minimum wage so they’re mostly dependent on tips (although it is the existence of tips in the first place that allows companies to pay less than minimum wage but that’s a whole other issue), and if they aren’t nice they don’t get tips

Her overly controlling and overbearing attitude makes her unable to trust anyone to do anything and being overly critical just because it may slightly differ from the way she does it, she automatically assumes they will fail. Northern Ireland here and our shops aren't allowed to open until 1pm on a Sunday to allow staff to attend religious services if they are practicing. I think at one point nowhere opened on a Sunday and they changed it to allow opening hours of 1-6pm. Even Belfast city centre is open for shopping so it's not just supermarkets etc.

I remember Sunday and half-day Wednesday closing. I'm glad we live in a 7-day world now! Nothing worse than working Monday-Friday, having to do everything else on Saturday, and being bored as f on Sunday.

Seeing some of these episodes makes me not want to eat out anymore after seeing some of the disgusting stuff that’s in the freezers and fridges.

Same, and what’s worse is they never seem to be bothered by it. Like storing raw meat directly near cooked. The cross contamination is disgusting! Makes you wonder if they even was their hands after going to the toilet? Basic hygiene, and common sense.

12:00 that pizza looks so gross but I'd probably still eat that whole thing by myself when I'm having a low self-esteem day

Y'know when you just get a bad feeling about a guy? Mark gives me that. Swearing at servers, lazying about, insecure laughing when not knowing what to say. Yuck. Mark the kinda guy who has every single dating app on his phone, drops a "'Sup, how you doing" to every girl, and is still bitter about not getting dates.

    Dudes,
store bought brioche bites cut in half, CANNED tomato sauce warmed up with ground beef, and cheese on top, made in the oven, tastes better than how his pizza looks. Hell, even MICROWAVED would taste better i feel.

    "No."
    30 seconds later.
    "Are you committed?"
"Yes. I am ready to change."

After the cameras left, the Zayna Flaming Grill continued with Gordon’s menu and fresh food incentive, and also kept the new decor.
Their reviews, though not entirely negative before the appearance on the show, were mostly positive after the changes.
Unfortunately, not all these changes stuck, and Fay was unable to give up her micromanaging attitude.
Though the food changes were kept, communication broke down again, and Fay returned to her critical ways.
As a result, some of the staff featured in the show left, which may have created further tension, as the business was family run.
It does seem that Brenda was able to maintain some leadership, and keep the diners generally impressed with the restaurants food.
Though the restaurant has bucked the ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ trend by staying open, it has changed ownership since the series was filmed.
The new owner, named Ray, still runs the Zayna Flaming Grill as a family restaurant, and the business is active on social media, posting on both Facebook, where they have a 4.8 star rating, and Twitter.
Reviews are still overall positive, with diners enjoying the food, and the friendly service, often from the new owner himself.
