Watching this in a COLD, WET, WINDY, RAINY London town...on July 4th..Oh, to be in England, now that 'summer's' there...(my sincerest, profound apologies to Mr. Browning)...and THOROUGHLY enjoying and appreciating this young man's enjoyment and appreciation of the wonderful Mr. Diamond....saw him at a Royal Variety Performance (every November in London there's a concert, usually at the London Palladium, in front of...WELL, it used to be the Queen, but in recent years it's been Charles & Camilla, or William & Kate.. with performers from around the globe)..in the line up afterwards, where everyone's presented to the royal couple.. the Queen spoke BRIEFLY to Neil, but spent AGES (it seemed) in deep conversation with his WIFE..a common interest in horse breeding, it seemed... HILARIOUS!! 😂 Hope everyone's keeping safe and well.🎵🎶🧡
It's the perfect match song.. The rousing build up goes quiet with little dynamic stabs, then the pre chorus builds you back up to a sudden release with a celebratory trumpet line everyone can punch the air to, followed by "good times never felt so good".. It sounds like a simple song but it's amazing! I wish I wrote it :)
Loving your reaction to this my friend. My wife was called Caroline and I sang this song to her for 40 years (poorly unfortunately). She passed away last year from cancer, but I still find myself singing it to her now even though she isn't here anymore ! Just to here the master singing it again and you enjoying it so much brings me joy ! It will always be timeless to so many people. Many thanks

Yeah? Well, I think it's a crap song. All that buildup for a wet fart of a limp chorus. Neil's a great songwriter. And apparently a great hypnotist as well, seeing as how everyone around the world loves this song when they shouldn't. But I don't. Neil's charms don't fool me. Probably because I don't drink beer or hang around the beach. And I've never been to a baseball game in my life because I live in Europe, where we're civilized.
I saw Neil Diamond in concert twice. The first time was April 1976; the second time was July 2017. I can assure you his voice was as pure and strong in 2017 as it was 41 years earlier!! He is an absolute force of nature. You must react to I Am...I Said - a brilliant song. Thanks for the great reaction, and keep them coming! I saw him in 1984 and 20011 on his tour in Germany. 😍 Unfortunately there is no footage from his concerts 1972 Hot August Night - but the Blu-rays from 2008 & 2012 are my favorite live concerts now. 👍🏼
Neil Diamond in black-face in the movie The Jazz Singer. Not his finest moment, but still loved the movie enough to see it twice at the theater. Only for Neil, and Laurence Olivier. Neil isn't an actor, but the movie has a great soundtrack.

Yep, another good one. He sang such under the radar sexual songs that my parents never really caught on. You’ll Be a Woman Soon, Longfellow Blues is good, too. Shilo is my favorite from Neil Diamond.

My Mom used to put on her music after putting us kids to bed. She really loved Neil Diamond. So, we'd fall asleep listening to him, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Cat Stevens, The Righteous Brothers, and other great performers. So, when I was 11 and went to my first concert of his I dozed off for a couple of songs. I think his music triggered my body into think it was bedtime. lol It was a great concert even though I missed a couple of songs. Back then everyone used a camera with a flash. Neil had allowed some of the audience that were in the back, and upper rows, to file past the stage to take pictures during the encore. The flashes from those cameras going past the stage caused a strobe light effect. It was cool.
Something you have to know about Neil Diamond - his best album was the original live album Hot August Night.(from 1972). So any version of his songs taken from that album were the best. Its a classic for so many things - audio quality etc. a stunnig piece of work that was never captured on video.. So, when it comes to reacting to the famous Holly Holy - make sure you choose the Hot August Night Version. Quite a masterpiece.

I saw Diamond live in concert in the mid 1980s. He's maybe a better entertainer than singer, if that's possible. He sang for 3 hours straight and the crowd loved him. That concert is still one of my fondest memories.
He wrote most of his music. Sweet Carolina sung at bars, baseball games, and more. When in a concert it is like a revival. I have every one of his records and cd. Two soundtracks he did I love too. Johnathon Livingston Seagull and the 1980's The Jazz Singer
I was waiting for him to sing "so good so good so good" before that verse came. I was about to say he's heard this song before because I always sing that part also way before it actually comes to it. 😂
I was privileged to see him in concert when he was in his 70's. He was still a great entertainer - the entire audience would sing the chorus of Sweet Caroline with him. It was so awesome!
Every time I hear this, I feel so lucky I saw him in concert in 2015 before he stopped touring. To see him do this live with the whole audience interacting was just one of my best concert moments ever!!
GET IN!!! You keep bringing it. My wife n i LOVE ya channel. Cheers fella. I know you'll get round to "love on the rocks" eventually.. Another great effort. Well done!!!
Next song should be Coming to America. Very beautiful song. Sweet Caroline and Coming to America are my favs. Have a greatest hits album on vinyl still. Thanks, great reaction to this classic.
During lockdown Neil did a special recording of this song on social media. He changed the lyric you don't touch me ,I won't touch you, specially to warn against coronavirus..legend. Also check out Love On The Rocks, slower tempo but amazing vocal by Neil
Can you believe this is a favorite at Octoberfest? Sung while standing on the trestle seats or tables, raising a beer to the ‘so good’ , a thousand voices together.
The build-up is to me like feeling the sunrise on a cold morning. You feel it first on your face, then slowly it feeds the rest of your body. Wholesome!
My dad who’s been gone for many years now, loved Neil diamond. So it always reminds me of him. Thx. Always love your reactions & sweet nature. Great during these tough times. 👍
I read an article where they asked how many people listened to music while making love and the majority did. Then they asked who they listened to and most said...Neil Diamond. Sweet Caroline BAH BAH BAH, good times never seemed so good SO GOOD, SO GOOD, SO GOOD, etc. if you’re in a bar. Listen to a live version!
Had tickets to a concert of his which was cancelled because sadly his father passed away. Concert was rescheduled for the next week and is still one of the best concerts I've ever seen. An amazing entertainer..

My generation had the best music of all times! so happy to see your reaction to the sounds we grew up with! Love it!
What a classic. How wonderful is Neil? Here in Australia, down under we would say; Bloody marvellous effort that!
Our NC anthem. Every band in NC must play this song at least once in every game. Love this song
This song is played during the 7th inning stretch at a ton of baseball parks! It started at Fenway Park with the Red Sox. A great singalong song!
"America" & "Love On The Rocks", are really good; just to quickly name a couple. THE MAN CAN SING!!
Neil is one of the greatest. Not many singers can stay musically relevant for almost 60 years.
So good! So good! So good! My first album won from a radio call in show was Neil Diamond.
I saw Diamond live in concert in the mid 1980s. He's maybe a better entertainer than singer, if that's possible. He sang for 3 hours straight and the crowd loved him. That concert is still one of my fondest memories.
I saw him with my parents in the 70s...I didn't want to go but ended up liking it...I was just a kid.
You are so fortunate to have seen him live. I envy you
Memphis, mid 70"s. 8 till 11. Never forget it
He wrote most of his music. Sweet Carolina sung at bars, baseball games, and more. When in a concert it is like a revival. I have every one of his records and cd. Two soundtracks he did I love too. Johnathon Livingston Seagull and the 1980's The Jazz Singer
Hey brother you have a really honest reaction appreciate it Neil Diamond one of the best
I was waiting for him to sing "so good so good so good" before that verse came. I was about to say he's heard this song before because I always sing that part also way before it actually comes to it. 😂
Riding around in an old van just singing along, those were the days!
Another amazing song!! Enjoy! 👍
Neil Diamond is definitely one of the best. Give his other stuff a try too. Great reaction--thanks!
His live version of "America" from "The Jazz Singer" is brilliant!
During lockdown Neil did a special recording of this song on social media. He changed the lyric you don't touch me ,I won't touch you, specially to warn against coronavirus..legend. Also check out Love On The Rocks, slower tempo but amazing vocal by Neil
Maggie May was sung by Rod Stewart- but I get what you’re saying 😊. Always loved❤Sweet Caroline!
Neil Diamonds love on the rocks is my fav song.x
Neil Diamond......
Dry Your Eyes
From the Last Waltz concert !
I love watching black people enjoying this music
Can you believe this is a favorite at Octoberfest? Sung while standing on the trestle seats or tables, raising a beer to the ‘so good’ , a thousand voices together.
Written about Caroline Kennedy.
Thank you for Sweet Caroline, that brought back is good memories from when I was at school. Wonderful thank you again 🇬🇧
The build-up is to me like feeling the sunrise on a cold morning. You feel it first on your face, then slowly it feeds the rest of your body. Wholesome!
This was the first Neil Diamond song that I remember I was around 12 😁
My dad who’s been gone for many years now, loved Neil diamond. So it always reminds me of him. Thx. Always love your reactions & sweet nature. Great during these tough times. 👍
The song is played at Fenway Park during the 7th inning stretch of the Boston Red Sox games. It was highlighted in the movie Fever Pitch.
You have to see him sing this live. The crowd goes crazy! His performance love of Sweet Caroline at the Greek Theater in 2012 is a good one.
This song gets played at every Idaho Steelheads hockey game - the crowd always joins in. So fun!
I remember my friend and I riding our bikes,we were 11 summer of 1969,We had our little basket with a radio in and Sweet Caroline was playing...
That was a great pic man! Thanks. I'm glad that you like diverse music.
I just discovered you today and now I'm making a whole new playlist of songs that I've forgotten about 😂😍 so thank you
A lot of bands play this at football games. The crowd always sings it.
I have heard this before , but that is long time ago.Its worth listen too more when one time.Beautiful song.
I am so jealous that you get to hear songs like this for the first time!!
Had tickets to a concert of his which was cancelled because sadly his father passed away. Concert was rescheduled for the next week and is still one of the best concerts I've ever seen. An amazing entertainer..
