    STA, Specialty Tires of America, makes 9.00-16s and a whole lot more sizes, too. I run their Super Traxions for the same reasons you mentioned. Made in USA, too!

      Sta make the super lugs, bought them through Coker. Didn’t realize how many different tires Sta produced. I am surprised at how well they handle too. Take care

    So much contradtive heights on these tires online . I've seen anywhere from 33.5 to 34 to 34.7 and now 37. It must vary by the lug depth and manufacturer

    Skinny off road tires can be good because they can dig through the top layer of slick soil so you get good traction in environments like a pasture, or open field

    Wow do these ever look great! Your truck would look right at home driving up and down a logging road on the way to a secluded cabin in the far North!

      @@zmurray9499 Sorry to hear man. Hope you’ll be able to take it up to your cabin after after all that is over. Mine will look very similar to yours when finished. But painted burgundy instead.

    How tall did those Super Lugs measure out to mounted on the wheel with no weight on them?
    Sweet K30 truck..

    Interested in a set of these for a Mitsubishi Fuso Fg649 4x4 truck. I live way up near Montreal, and I'm afraid of the 'hard, flat spots' that everyone is warning me of.
    What's the coldest temps you get there, and how do they perform when cold? I'm also worried about the higher crown on northern roads, and all the seams we have from freeze/thaw cycles. Do these really follow seams and grooves like they say, and make your steering feel loose?
    Thanks! Nice truck!

      My truck doesn’t get driven hardly ever. I drive it about once a month during the summer once every two months during the winter, the tires do get flat spots, but only take about a mile worth of driving before they go away. I never have any issues as far as following cracks and lines in the road. I don’t notice any difference between those tires and radials. I’ve probably never driven it in weather colder than around 30°. Your super cold temperatures might be an issue. As far as the tires heating up enough to get rid of the flat spots.

      @@zmurray9499 Thanks. I'm leaning towards a set. Wish I could find some Michelin XL's or XZL's. They're almost impossible to find, now.

      Thank you, the tires are 9.00x16 super lug bias ply’s with stock wheels.

    I put a set of 9.00R16 Michelin XLs on my 1978 ford they are a great tire but the tread does not last. Maybe 15k miles on road. @ $400 a pop, they are a bad way to go.

    Do these bias tires pull when you hit water puddles? Let me know. Thanks

    If you don’t mind me asking,How tall are you? I’m 6’3 and I’m trying to decide between a 3 inch or a 6 inch lift

    • @zmurray9499
      @zmurray9499  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If it's a half ton then do the 6 inch. If it's a three-quarter ton then do a 4 inch. 6 inches is way too much for the three-quarter ton unless you're putting gigantic tires on it. I'm 5' 11"

    have you stuck 35s on a 1 1/2 shackle lift? or stock height?

    • @zmurray9499
      @zmurray9499  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      redburro88 I think they should clear no problem. Seems like when your dealing with 3/4 and 1 ton you end up with more lift than advertised.i put my 36’s next to the truck and jacked it up with a floor jack(to meet the wheel center without lift and stock height). I didn’t think it looked good and you probably would have to trim the fender corners a little.

    • @zmurray9499
      @zmurray9499  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      redburro88 it seems as though the three-quarter ton in the 1 ton sit about 2 inches higher than a half ton. And as You probably already know the 4 inches will get a 35 inch tire under it
