    What an Amazing life to have had !
    Oliver lived - he was so damn good looking and broody - he did not just exist .
    Delighted he found that " field " for the horse and stayed in England with real people !
    An Extremely talented Actor and also a Great Dad as his son is so together .
    Sorely missed . RIP from Ireland

      Now that would have been interesting. Give the man the outline idea, warn the crew, roll the cameras and let's let this thing off the chain, and bask in the danger of it all.
      But I have a feeling we would need to agree a safe word. 🇬🇧🎥

    Fabulous Oliver Reed - always the coolest person with whom I shared a name. And what a golden age of British film and British film actors too - nobody could describe the current crop of screen 'icons' as “larger than life” or even charismatic.

    Loved him as an actor and character, so authentic, so unique. He should have been a Bond, and in many other big films... some big names don’t come close to him, he was a genuine legend in my opinion. Under appreciated by the movie makers, he was better than Harris and others.

    I spent a good few hours up the local King's Head pub in Rudgwick. I can confirm that Oliver was in fact a really nice man and very intelligent.
    I have nothing negative to say about Oliver. Even the local policeman, John Slater, would be there to drive Oliver home in his Panther De Ville from the pub. John told me it made a nice change from cycling on my police bike. Oliver called my mates and I his Banditos. The darts matches were good fun.
    As a child, my father used to look after the Burge's garden in Rudgwick. I remember I was very young, perhaps 6 or 7, and I would play with Josephine Burge, who was around the same age, in their garden while my father was working. That was until the tragedy that struck her father. I still remember when my father got a call from someone in Jo's family to let my father know.

    Oliver Reed was my pash back in my youth. He was handsome beautifully spoken and a lovely actor. Came over as loyal and switched on when interviewed.

    Oliver seemed such a fun guy, I'd have very much liked to have met him but sadly he was before my time slightly. He even reminds me of my eldest brother Joe. I have six brothers and four sisters btw. Anyway they looked similar and had the same capacity to drink that much. Like Oliver, Joe died through his love of a pint, only in his case it was via a brawl.

    The best Ollie imo was when he was not drinking. As his son said, it was very bad the way he was put on these shows to cause a stir & get him passed prior to interviews.
    Good to see his legacy is a fine chap.

    O.R. is my favorite actor and I loved watching all three parts of this! Mark Reed is a thoughtful and graceful son; so fascinating to hear him talk of growing up with his dad and some of his family experiences. So nice to not have to listen to the sensationalized stuff about O.R. and instead learn about other sides of his personality. I would love to see the play by Rob Crouch- does anyone know if it's on dvd by chance? I found another nice tribute to O.R. by Simon Drake called "The Trouble With Ollie." It's also in three parts, check out part one at th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=the+trouble+with+ollie+part+1 The links to parts 2 & 3 should be in the sidebar or just type in the title in the search box. Thankyou THANKYOU for posting "Oliver Reed: In Search of a Legend"!

The audience loved him on After Dark too, yes the producers are merciless but Ollie came out on top as far as audience engagement, and who gives a toss about the people that CHOOSE to be offended ;+}
