Wow mark looks identical to his dad
I don't feel for him, making yourself famous for being a drunken actors son xxx
And I admire Oliver Reed x
The Word crew, Terry Christian - malicious, manipulative pieces of shit.
I used to go to his school, l stood on stage with Mark as a Roman centurion in toga and underpants. In came Oliver Reed(late) with his latest girlfriend, smashed out of his head, l had no idea who it was but l remember the impact it made in the room. Ollie sat in the front row of course , legs splayed. Only afterwards did l hear the chit chat discussing the famous guest.
I agree to be authentic you do not need to go to R.A.D. If you have. It within you do not need to be taught.. to act, your Father was a great man ❤ .. i
I saw the show in Canterbury as I’m an Ollie Reed fan, on and off screen. It was great, quite thought provoking at times and very funny. I went to the Pub in Valletta and got pissed this year.
Great documentary hope your well Simon rip ollie xx
Oliver Reed was my pash back in my youth. He was handsome beautifully spoken and a lovely actor. Came over as loyal and switched on when interviewed. Pity television preferred to fill him with alcohol and make him look foolish. His son should be very proud of him ❤
I remember watching Oliver Reed on After Dark at the time and it was uncomfortable viewing. They set him up for a fall and it was disgraceful to do that.
"You haven't had a good beer if you haven't had a good hang over" Haha. This sounds like something his son probably overhead him say at some point 🤣
As a Brit, I've always thought Pubs, are our community centers .
What an Amazing life to have had ! Oliver lived - he was so damn good looking and broody - he did not just exist . Delighted he found that " field " for the horse and stayed in England with real people ! An Extremely talented Actor and also a Great Dad as his son is so together . Sorely missed . RIP from Ireland
All ways rembered his son is clearly a fine young man part of ollies legacy
Is this available to watch on video anywhere?
I knew Gerald Kingsland circa 1994 his sons were great Gerald was a complete eccentric convinced Himself He could create a perpetual motion machine with a bicycle wheel some shaped fiber glass and some water, It was fun watching him build it and fail and then try again...He didn't make one work but it was a blast in his company and His Family.
I can relate to this, my late farther loved nothing better on a Saturday, going to the pub, reading the paper, writing his bet out and having a few pints before going home and cooking himself his dinner. RIP dad. Hope your having a few with Mr Reed.
What a lovely guy, obviously "quite normal" a credit to his parents.
He was a great actor and, after seeing his children, no doubt a great father!
Sarah, Mark....your Dad was bloody great !
legend is thrown about too much these days. but Mark if your reading this your dad was an absolute fucking legend.
I'd imagine Mr Reed would be very proud of his son for putting this together. Not only that, but for new generations to come to see his true persona. Fascinating fella 🤩
Well said. Mark is a chip of the old block with a wonderful voice. Oliver was a legend and would be very proud of him.
Top man brilliant actor and what a character the lad had charisma in spades God rest him
He even talks like his old boy
Wow...the son looks like him a lot!
Oliver Reed legend. What a beautiful house would have loved to sit with him for a chat x
I remember watching him on a talk show where he discussed with the host how he taught a fellow actor how to work at the depth,s of his character he was working on,with a brilliant breakdown of said character.
Oliver was a man's man and great talent rip Ollie
Oliver Reed's son seems a very decent down to earth chap....good character. He's actually not from my generation.....I might have seen movies here and there featuring Oliver Reed. Peter O'Toole's name I knew, primarily from seeing 'Murphy's law' when I was a kid. Richard Harris is another one like Reed I have seen but don't remember the name due to me being young. I was surprised he was the lead in 'A man called horse'.....which I indeed saw so many years ago. Of course 'Gladiator' made me more aware of the names of these gents. So I'm more actively seeking out their works and found out more about their, let's say scoundrel ways....oh my what a stories, have me backwards laughing 🤣. Just 2 days ago I ordered the books 'Hellraisers', both in text and the graphic novel one. Yes, these guys were the last of a certain breed.....interesting characters because they were so real.
A little cruel? The hidden camera in the dressing room while under the influence, and then laughing about it, was demonic!
💯agree
He was not only talented but one of the most gorgeous men who ever lived in his day!!
He is the most genuine human being I’ve ever seen. Completely himself in whatever mood he is in and doesn’t hold back like most people. A kind of honesty that I’ve never seen before. We all have a monster in us that’s grown through years of living down here taking thunderbolts by so many but we try to hide that monster so we come across as nice and normal but this man didn’t hide it. Therefor there is no hidden demon that will burst out after to much stress but he exercised both sides of himself which I think created a balance that most people do not have.
I regret having never gotten the chance to see this
I wish I had gotten the chance to see this and I absolutely wish they would bring it back.
"The sensational stuff". Lol. Oliver Reed revelled in it in life and death. Here is what he drank before dropping dead: He drank 8 pints of lager, a dozen shots of rum, half a bottle of whiskey, and several shots of cognac. He went out sensetionally.
Just learning more about this extraordinary man!
The pain and dread his drinking would have caused probably cannot be adequately expressed.
''legend''
Boring doc
Oliver Reed was made of pure granet and lightening bolts from heave .a legend of a man
His dad was a legend real man he was
Ollie didn't give a toss and just got on with it.
Anyone that has seen Reed speak without a drink in him would the the man to be thoughtful, gentle…. Full of fun with a mischievous heart. That’s what I saw anyway.
...amazing how he physicly resembles the father....
Mark just looks like his dad, softly spoken as well. He must have been very proud of him.
a natural actor..a hard drinker (not for modern women) but a kind heart....what one would cal.. "A MAN'S MAN"
..a MAN...of substance, conscience, compassion but also a MAN that does THE job....with a hard drink at the end..simples
....THEE classic tearaway THEY want now....
Imagine him as Bond?
Drinking the sherbies and shafting the girlies is my fave quote.
🤣🤣🤣
Mark is a credit to his great Dad. Oliver was a phenomenonally talented actor, well-spoken and always convincing in his roles. Thank you, Mark, for your kindness to us and for showing your Dad's human side.
