- During a tribute show, honoring the late Jani Lane (formerly of Warrant), Jani’s daughter, Madison, joined “Billy Morris and the Sunset Strip”, for her first live-stage performance, to sing one of the chart topping songs written by her father. This being the popular song, “HEAVEN”.
The event was coordinated by Billy Morris, also formerly of Warrant and a friend to Jani’s and was held at Temple Live, in Cleveland, OH, on the evening of Saturday, May 20th, 2023.
Supporting acts were “MEDUSA” and “TUFF”, first known nationally for their power ballad on Atlantic Records, “I Hate Kissing You Goodbye”.
Jani’s first daughter (Taylar), and Taylar’s mother, Bobbie Brown were also in attendance and an active part of this show. Everyone was humble, accessible and it was a fan, friend and family event.
Throughout the several hours during the show, there were strong hints given that more tribute shows, honoring Jani Lane, are coming in the future.
Madison continues to write, sing and record at her leisure.

This was Jani's baby girl. The youngest of his two daughters. She wasn even born until years after Warrant had hit their peak. Hearing her pour her heart out with a song that her dad wrote could bring anyone to tears. Anyone that remembers him and how his music affected their lives. I cant believe how much she looks like him.
God, I so miss her dad. He was an amazing songwriter and a beautiful soul.

I worked with Jani back in 2002 when my son was due any day.
I asked Jani what I should name my son or daughter?
He literally took his shirt off,showed me his kids names tatted on both sides of his chest,and Madison was one of them.
He treated me with mad respect,he was very professional,generous and he blew my mind during every session.
My first concert ever was in 92/1993, I was only 10 or 11 and my beautiful,amazing Mother took me,my little brother and my friend to see Warrant,Firehouse,and Cinderella.
It changed my life!
Today i’ve been a professional 4:12 musician,technically since 2003 and i’m still in love with everything Jani ever wrote.
He really was a great being ,artist and poet,and had so much more to do in this life.
