    I have these headphones for more than 5 years now. It's old and I encountered this problem. Fixed it! My ear cushion pads have degraded so I ordered one online and now my headphones look like new!

    The clearest explanation of this fix that I have seen on TH-cam -- thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Enjoyed your clever use of household items such as a tweezers and a nail clipper to serve as tools for manipulating the small wire involved. It does seem absurd that in such an expensive headset, there is such an obvious single point of failure, one that is a pain for the consumer to fix. I am confronted with this problem on a QC15, and there is a slight difference from your repair. The black wire plunges down a hole near where it is soldered to the circuit board, into the battery compartment, and seems to be (clamped?) tightly in a short channel running alongside the wall of the compartment before emerging to be connected to the spring terminal that makes contact with the negative end of the battery. It's not at all clear to me hoe to remove the damaged wire -- tugging firmly on it does not seem to do the trick. I see no evidence of the liquid insulation you encountered with the QC25.

      @patrixfpv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words. Though I can't really help you with your QC15 as I don't have one have a look at. Since you are sure that that wire is the problem, you can just force it out, it's broken anyway. But before doing that, check if you could fit the wire somewhere else(beside the battery in the compartment) in case you could not fit the new wire in the original place.

    This is a great video! I am having the same issue. Problem is that I do not have the tools or experience to properly handle. Do you have any recommendations for someone in the NY area that could handle this fix? I am trying to save the cost of having to buy a new pair. Thanks

    I have QC35 noise cancellation. Your video is clear and easy, I made a few mistakes and don't have the right material but I was able to see that the power and sound are coming back on. I'll finish fixing them later on with the proper wiring as I don't wanna mess it up now that I almost finished the job. So thank you!!😎

    Thanks for the video. It was helpful. I had left a battery in there and it leaked and got stuck. Some vinegar freed it up and got it out but the cable to the door had corroded and disconnected. I gave up trying to unclip the hinged door and drilled another small hole nearer the upper end of the battery compartment and fed wire through there and soldered to the board. The headphones are working again :)

    Thanks for this video. I did the wire and still no power. I looked in the battery compartment and wondered if the positive terminal was not contacting well. I lowered a Phillips screwdriver into the connector and scraped around a bit. That did the trick.

      Expensive headphones should not have all of these problems and issues. Bose headphones also have sound balance problems between the R and L earcups and connectivity issues. My Q45s started acting up after 2 years of not being used that much. I plan to buy cheaper and more reliable headphones next time some with as good or better sound although not quite as comfortable.

      @@patrixfpv So i managed to solder the wire and it turned it on for the first time. But after taking out the battery and putting back in I realised that it is not connecting the battery already.
      Also, I noticed that the moment I try to open the battery cover, there was a slight trigger and the noise cancelling is on.
      Any idea how do I fix that?

    • @patrixfpv
      @patrixfpv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@supersayianz it would be hard to tell what the problem is. You can try using a new battery. If that doesn't help, I guess you need to open you headphones again and check everything. The wires could be damaged or maybe there is a short circuit.
