I ended up taking a cheap broken pair of headphones, ripping the earcups off, putting my earbuds in, and essentially making makeshift zaanus.
As a scale modeller, those ejector pin marks (the circles) are normally hidden inside by the molding process. If not it takes maybe a minute to remove them

Just picked up both the OneOdio Studio 30's and the Superlux HD681 because of your mention of them during the video (also the skullcandy crusher evos from another). I decided that these would be good entry headphones to learn about the different sounds they can produce, since I haven't listened to many headphones beside for gaming and airpods. Honestly super happy with the purchase and wasn't out of budget either. Sound quality is amazing. Thank you!
@@Hydraina of course! the OneOdio Studio 30. They’re my go to for doing just about anything on my pc besides gaming. The open back on the Superlux was interesting but it’s one where I put on every once in a while to hear the music a different way. For all around use though (listening to music, watching videos, etc.) I much prefer the Studio 30

I have found how to get the same sound as the Embiggeners WITHOUT having to pay $40. Take some dirty birds, put each bud into its own dirty sock, insert it into the ears. This version you don't need to crank up the EQ and you have a use for dirty socks until laundry day.
No cap, I actually used a pair of old socks as makeshift cuffs for my razer kraken. Bit of tissue and cotton stuffed as cushion. Now I've moved onto rubber bands and layered tissue on a pair of plantronics.

One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I have those One Odio headphones and, while not audiophile, they sound pretty damn good. WAY better than they should for the money. We use them to listen to our final mixes on a more "everyday" type of headphone, and I use them regularly for casual listening, and even during tracking drums since they can play clearly quite loud and are decent at blocking outside noise. Often in sale at Amazon for around 50 bucks Canadian dollars. Definitely worth picking up. Why on earth ANYONE would spend the same on these preposterous earbud holders is beyond me.... One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I honestly only use them if I have no better option. I find that no matter how much I clean my ears they get dirty and if I'm not paying attention and the wired ones get snagged they violently get ripped from my ears.
Yeah like my ears really can't handle flat earbuds, they're built kind of weird and trying to force them in makes my ears all rashy and pained, but I could spend 10 bucks and get in-ear soft ones with buds that probably sound better.

I have those One Odio headphones and, while not audiophile, they sound pretty damn good. WAY better than they should for the money. We use them to listen to our final mixes on a more "everyday" type of headphone, and I use them regularly for casual listening, and even during tracking drums since they can play clearly quite loud and are decent at blocking outside noise. Often in sale at Amazon for around 50 bucks Canadian dollars. Definitely worth picking up.
Why on earth ANYONE would spend the same on these preposterous earbud holders is beyond me.... But goddamn, I'm glad Dankpods made this video!!😆
