To be honest, it sounds like your openers aren't that good. What I've learned from Online dating is that whatever stage you're having problems in, the issue usually arises from the previous stage. So if you can't carry the convo to a close, then your openers might be your sticking point. It could even be your profile to begin with. You shouldn’t even be getting “unattractive matches” to begin with. You should only match a girl who you will actually take seriously, that you will take some time to invest on. What’s the point of getting “unattractive matches” if you won’t even care about starting the conversation? It’s pointless. This is one of the reasons why Tinder is broken, too many people are matching people they don’t really want. And girls do that too. That’s why you get a “hot match”, talk to the girl and she barely says anything in response and doesn’t work to get the conversation going. She looked at your profile for 5 seconds, liked it without analyzing it properly, then rejected you “after the match” after checking your profile carefully.

Hey Todd, can we get some more advice on the messaging and getting numbers part? There’s plenty of advice as far pictures and shit, making a profile, but personally I’m struggling with texting and getting numbers. I can get hot matches, and I think my openers are good, usually get a message back, but they usually show little investment so it’s hard to carry the conversation.
Tod actualy have videos about texting, and they are very good. You must make her emotionaly invest. You are obvs good looking enough to match with them, and even get a reply but girls have literaly hundrets of matches so you cant expect her to invest right away. Noticing stuff about their pics or bio often get the ball rolling. She have a pic on a bike - ask about that. She mentions travel (as they all do) - ask where she was last and what is her favorite place to go. She only have inside selfies - jokenly ask her if she under home arrest or hate the sun or something in that regard.Afer that just follow the "bread crumbs" as Tod Says. She was in Spain? Great, How long she was there? Did she liked the food? (then a joke about something having in common with Spain) But as my favorite life and dating (dating not pick up) coach corey wayne says - "If you realy like a girl, you would want to know everything about her" Just dont make it looks like a job interview.

To be honest, it sounds like your openers aren't that good. What I've learned from Online dating is that whatever stage you're having problems in, the issue usually arises from the previous stage. So if you can't carry the convo to a close, then your openers might be your sticking point. It could even be your profile to begin with. It might be good for getting attention, but it's bad for setting a narrative.
dont get discouraged too fast. my last long time relationship came from "hot or not". lasted for 6 years. single again now and looks like i might have met someone amazing again. Good pics - Anything that shows you doing stuff - Driving your bike, fixing the car, reading, cooking food, fishing (fishing, not you with the big fish you got), playing with your dog, working, taking a walk in the woods, traveling, and even gaming/gym if thats a big part of your life and you want a gamer or a gym girl. Its all about two things. - making your face and body look as attractive as possible with light and pose and shadows and contrast and colors. And - to actualy tell something about you as a person.
Bad pics are - Gym selfies, half naked pics, a pic with your car
(unless its a very cool car and you have something about loving cars in your bio), "cool" pics where you dont look at the camera but obvs know that you are being photographed, "cool" pics where you have a mean "badass"face, mirror selfies, the "soy boi smile" pics (Smile with a wide open mouth and exited eyes), huggung your cat like a baby pics, half drunk with a glass in your hand pics ect.

The problem with this whole online game thing is that we (me included) arent patient enough. we can not wait and want immediate results and chats.

I admit I gave up at one point. I took it very seriously and was very confident in my wit and writing ability. I took some photos and used photo feeler to get ratings. That's where things ended I couldn't get a decent rating on any photo and on apps i still have never had a single conversation.

I think something important that isnt mentioned is location. Whilst at uni i made a profile and got 130 matches in ONE DAY. My profile was elite tho. Contrast this to when i went home back to my small hometown. Bruh i got like 50 matches in a month. not ideal.

I think I've been dumped into low ELO and they won't let me get out of it. Since my hard reset last week I've been banging away all week swiping until no one's left in my large searched area and messaging matches as soon as I can, and still I'm only getting 90% unattractive girls since my 2nd day on the new profile, much worse than it was ever on previous profiles I've had. I swear Tinder has me part shadowbanned or deliberately put at a low ELO and stuck me like that permanently for some prejudiced reason. How do I deal with this?

You shouldn’t even be getting “unattractive matches” to begin with. You should only match a girl who you will actually take seriously, that you will take some time to invest on. What’s the point of getting “unattractive matches” if you won’t even care about starting the conversation? It’s pointless. This is one of the reasons why Tinder is broken, too many people are matching people they don’t really want. And girls do that too. That’s why you get a “hot match”, talk to the girl and she barely says anything in response and doesn’t work to get the conversation going. She looked at your profile for 5 seconds, liked it without analyzing it properly, then rejected you “after the match” after checking your profile carefully.

Shadowbanned means you either reset you profile too many times or gotten banned that your score is very hurt.
