Such a beautiful Pink Velvet. Love it so much and have now purchased yarn so that I can knit one too. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Aw - Thank you so much! That is such a lovely compliment. I hope you enjoy knitting Pink velvet. The colorwork was really enjoyable - no long floats and only 2 colours! :)

Oh wow Tash what a week!!! Because I only ever knit (90%) of the time monogamously I can’t imagine the joy of finishing three things in 1 week, it would be party central in my place. I’m bad enough as it is when I finish something, I’ll run around the house saying to my husband look at me, look at me, touch me, touch me 🤭🤣😂
Your projects are fab, well done! Your bra strap doesn’t show at all 💪🏻 and that colour is so good. The Japan countdown is on and how fun the underground hotel. So many quirky and fun things. Thanks for another fun episode, Karen 🥰

I reinforced my Summer Sorrel by doing a slip stitch crochet at the bottom of the ribbing on the collar. Until I did that, the neck stretched so much, the sweater was unwearable. I never thought that little slip stitch crochet would have made that much of a difference. Loving your videos! I can't get over all of the things you've made!!

Just wanted to let you know how much I’ve been enjoying your podcasts. So glad that I’ve come across them and I’ve subscribed so I don’t miss future episodes. I’m currently working on Snow Wonder - it’s an amazing pattern. I’ve knit a few of Heidi’s patterns and her math is impeccable which I’m sure you appreciate. Mine is in an icy celadon shade. So far I’m loving it.

Tash the Andrea😢 Mowry knìt is beautiful. The colours used are lovely. The Soho top has turned out as a classic as well as the Field Sweater. You have so many plans for knitting. I have taken a break from knitting so I could get my home sorted out. Winter throws need laundering as well as two sets of curtaining. We are not getting things sorted out in cupboards and I like an organized lol home where I can find items quickly. Take care ❤😊

Wow Tash, your Pink Velvet is stunning and your Soho top is so beautiful!!! I’m late watching your podcast this week, but enjoy watching every week and absolutely love the detail you go in to. So inspiring and helpful!
I’m trying to make a special gift - fingerless mittens and the design I want to incorporate means I need to knit them flat, sideways, not from cuff to fingertips. It’s been ALOT of planning & charting but will be well worth it if it works out! 🤞
    Heaps of fun!

Another great episode! I love hearing about your knitting - you go into details so well. It’s very helpful! I’m planning on starting the half and half triangle wrap soon as well. For your Linen Quill that you don’t have a project for yet, I made a Salty Air Tee out of Linen Quill last summer and I love it. I live in a colder climate, so I turned it into a sweater. It was a fun knit!

    • @mostlyknitting

Thanks Brenda. Thanks for the idea of turning the Salty Air Tee into a sweater. I like that idea. I like the blue of the Linen Quill so that could be a really good option. I could even make it into a dress, i have enough yarn. Hmmm - that sounds appealing to me. :)

I feel like you are so fast at knitting. I have been working on one sock for a few weeks and I still have a good way to go! But I do have a very busy toddler I have to chase so I just try to remind myself that this phase will pass all too quickly and I'll be able to just sit and knit without getting up every 2 minutes

Excellent podcast, as always. We have such similar taste that we always seem to stalk the same designs. Re: your beautiful mohair, have you seen Joji' Elton cardigan. I've just cast it on. It would really showcase the mohair (you would also need 2 skeins of fingering). ❤

We definitely have knitting telepathy. Just weaving in the ends on my granddaughter's Purl Soho classic ribbed hat as I watch. Yesterday, I decided I didn't want to knit another 1 by 1 ribbed hat for my other granddaughter, so I cast on an Oslo hat! I've already knit one and it's one of my favourite hat patterns. I also finished my Caidree top, in my case the Suri Shirt. Your Pink Velvet is gorgeous and you were right to leave the neck as is - very elegant. The idea of a cowl is a great one. And what can I say about your Field Sweater, stunning, stunning, stunning. I will stop by Skein Sisters tomorrow afternoon for a very quick hello. Thank you again for a terrific podcast!

Beautiful knits Tash! the pink velvet is sooo pretty, and as I said a long time ago, I actually really love where the collar sits on you because I find it very elegant and feminine in showin your collar bones. I think a very simple cowl would be lovely...mayb even with a hint of pink here and there, but even simple, as you say, it could take away from the exquisite colorwork. The Soho top is lovely too, it's just the perfect summer top and I love your modifications, I may look this up for the upcoming summer here...Wow I am fascinated by Obsidian, I just put the pattern in my cart and will look up if I have any adequate yarn in my stash (not buying any) which I probably may because I love fingering yarn mostly...is this an easy knit as it seams? it looks so stylish and feminine and has something a bit retro to it which I love...I would see some old style Hollywood movie heroin wearing something like this...💚💚💚

Great podcast Tash, fab knits but as lucky as we are in Australia not everyone has free doctor visits, as all the bulk billing has decreased for many Aussies who may need it. I am one of the lucky Aussies who lives way out west and I do receive free medical visits including specialists. Have fun on your break, very exciting visiting new knitting shops and collecting some new yarn.

Thanks so much Jenny. Yes, it is true - bulk billing is on the decline. Only a few of the doctors at our local practice bulk bill. Our family doctor bulk bills for children (and pensioners) and I am grateful for that.

I’m in the process of knitting the field cardigan and I’m interested in your coding for the grains. It’s not hard to do but Camilla’s pattern writing is not fluid. Thanks for the video on the grains. It was very helpful 😊

    • @mostlyknitting
      @mostlyknitting  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thanks. I used G = make grain. C = cable (i didnt write any more than that as i knew what kind of cable because it was always the same direction), S = slip, M1 for the usual make one. LG = make large grain. Ktbl for knit through the back loop. I ended up being able to get most of the rows down to a few symbols. Hope that helps. :)
