I make ur cake it was amazing but I had little issue, after I took the cake out of the oven is shrink is it because I didn’t take it of the tin right away but I still make the cream tasted yummy but smaller

Can you please tell me if you made this using the 6in tins. If so how did they turn out? How long did you bake them for and at what temperature. Asking about the temperature because these recipes use 2 different temperatures and bake times. If you can answer my questions and tell me more about your experience I'd really appreciate it. Thanks... 😉
Try to beat your egg white until stiff. That's the key to rise the cake. While the cake especially for the first 40min, do not open the oven door. Check the cake with skewer only after the time mentioned. It's normal the cake deflate slightly, it shouldn't deflate a lot, just like what you see in the video ☺️
I just baked her vanilla cotton sponge earlier today. Since I don't have a 7in square tin but do have a 8in square I just used the same amount of ingredients. Followed the recipe as stated including baking temps and times. I'm looking at my un-frosted cake right now. While it did rise quite high I'm almost certain I won't be able to get 3 layers as thick as hers are. Because these types of cakes tend to shrink (the sides and in height) once out of the oven I knew I'd have to either do 2 layers or 3 very thin layers. I'm still debating on which way I want to go, lol. I made a strawberry jam and her lemon curd so I really need those 3 layers but if I decide to only go with 2 my plan is to put the strawberry or lemon on top of the cake then use the frosting to decorate around it. Hope that made sense, lol. Basically you can use an 8in. Just keep the shrinkage in mind. Hope this was helpful. Good luck and happy baking... 😋
