Welcome to the recap of Miss Earth 2022! I hope you enjoy this one! Please let me know what you'd like to see next on the channel! 💕Till then you can watch my other recent recaps here >>> bit.ly/3knJQ4k
Korea was just shouldering on with sheer willpower during the competition since she was rushed to the Emergency Room the day before the competition because she was sick and was heavily vomitting. This is why she appears like she can't maintain eye contact and is somewhat lethargic. But despite that, she was able to perform and even deliver in the hashtag round and the all-important Q&A.
I liked this reaction video. The show was not perfect, there are many things to be improved. There were some ups and downs in the production and I was disappointed that Belarus didn't make it to top 20 and Cuba did not advance to top 8. But the quality of the winners is superb. They are not just gorgeous but they are all well spoken. I'm impressed that Miss Colombia tried her best to speak in English. I would love to follow their reign and support their advocacies. Miss Earth proved that they select the best to represent the organization regardless of their country (happy to see non-sash factor countries advanced to top 20). Miss Korea deserves the crown. She's so relatable, well spoken & she doesn't need fabulous outfit to shine. To all the bashers/non-supporter of Miss Earth, it's time to right the negativity/bashing. Let's work hand in hand to save our Mother Earth.
@@DaniWalker Hopefully, she can get some rest because despite Miss Earth delaying their official TV appearances and interviews with official media for a couple of days, they are still doing photoshoots and some interviews right now. By the way, the elemental queens are also going to accompany the new Miss Earth in some international appearances, which will be exciting to see. It was reported that ME got a huge donation for the winner's reign this year so that's something to look forward to since these four women have amazing chemistry from what I've seen so far.
Miss Korean' answer was relevant to the question was given to her... open your eyes and see the hearts of people. everything starts from hearts of all humans whether it is good or bad.
for answering QnA, it's obvious, korea gave the best answer. it's relevant because as we all know, in dealing with animal cruelty, we need empathy as well. and korea's answer is short and well explain in just short words
Miss South Korea was very sick prior to finals, like so sick she was thinking of not competing anymore. She can barely eat that time and she went to the hospital. Its pure adrenalin that sustains her and the sheer will to finish what she started.
Her father was actually the one who is convincing her to not participate anymore because she was so sick but Mina felt that she can't fail her supporters and those who firmly believes in her.
The full show is now available in Miss Earth YT channel. The livestream was cut off because it was massively reported by rabid fans from a specific country who didn't make it to the top 20. The pageant community probably can guess by now the people who did it. Miss Earth has chosen not to shame these people publicly to preserve Filipino relations with that country but they are going to send proof to the consulate of that country in Manila.
Personally, Korea's answer was the best for me. I think that we should right the perception that kindness is empathy. Most often, people perceive that the kindness they show is empathy. First world countries should do more to help developing countries in tiding over and in recovering from the devastating effects of climate change.
You just repeated korea's answer. You didn't differebtiate and define how kindness is different from empathy. You basically just said "they're different". 🤦♂️ You just parroted what she said.
Empathy is an ability and mental attitude trying to share someone else's feelings and pains, while Kindness is merely a sort of social manners showing one's gentle nature to other people and sometimes helping others in public. Empathy is much more inclusive and thoughtful than kindness. Therefore a comprehensive package of being human.
Thank you for giving time for Miss Earth. For me, Korea and the rest of the top 4, felt like they all stood out right from the start and that the organization really liked them. Try to observe the Miss Earth Organization and their past pageants, as they often carry certain delegates right to the end, regardless of how they perform in the finals. I think that has something to do with the closed-door pre-judging which kind of explains why certain delegates seem to breeze through the finals while some favorites are left out of the top 20. Also, it is possible that how we perceive the delegate on TV differs on how the judges see the delegates. This is Miss Earth and though unfortunate, they haven't really aced their camera angles and overall presentation. But they do crown stunners! They aren't as keen on their TV show as they are with their advocacy. If in terms of the show, I would probably rate the show average, but as a pageant and the winners after the show, Miss Earth is top. Again, thank you for your time.
I hope Miss Korea will have a meaningful reign. I hope that she will tackle some environmental issues coz every year Miss Earth becomes more relevant given our environmental challenges and problems. May she become influential and inspirational!
Hi Dani. Once again great review of Miss Earth. For me the exclusion of Belarus was a surprise as she was stunning and dedicated to Miss Earth's cause. One thing I noticed about Korea her personality is very different from past winners who are fun, bubbly. I find Korea to be demure, prim and proper. Maybe Miss Earth is looking for a different queen this year. My pre-pageant favorite to win was Colombia. But during the final night, it was Australia. But Korea definitely deserve the win. Miss Earth 2023 will be in Vietnam for the second time (first in 2010). Cannot wait for this and your review.
I heard Miss Korea was very VERY sick the day before, like throwing up and hospitalized and stuff - to the point that she thought she may have to miss the final days (and unfortunately get dropped out). So hearing this, I'm more impressed by her poise and the ability to still shine despite all that (and to be able to hide that on stage, I bet the crowd/judges couldn't tell her sickness). So a big applause for Miss Korea to win it through all that!
Yeah, i thought she lost her glow that night, She didn't have a winning vibe actually, but after the interview she had and she mentioned this, like wow. She really pulled it off.
I think there are two reasons why Korea won this year: first, throughout the competition, she was very natural and unapologetic especially during their cultural immersion where they got to go to the Philippines' raw-est communities. There are two parts of Miss Earth's competition- first is the preliminary rounds which were all held virtually, and second (they really do not say it but it matters) is the cultural immersion where they get to test your attitude and behavior under stress and pressure, that's why the schedule is intentionally made to be packed - it has always been like that for Miss Earth. A lot of girls struggle with that second part, that's why it would not be surprising if some girls who do a great job at walking or wardrobe are overtaken by those who have lesser skills in walking, or those who do not have a great set of wardrobe. Second, I think that its because the organization saw an opportunity in Mina for the Korean representatives. It is only once in a blue moon that a caliber like Mina would be sent by Korea (or South Korea). I think that they took advantage of that in order for the title to be passed to more countries, after the fans' allegations of the organization favoring the Philippines after that 2014-2015, then 2017 win. PS: I think that Miss Earth has always put a heavy emphasis on question and answer. While I have questioned the wins of the Philippines before, I have realized that it was the girls' answers that made them win. Point is, I felt like the organization has been pointed fingers by people to be biased but its otherwise, because if they have been biased, they should not have let the 2015 or the 2017 winner get the title. Now, I do feel that they are doing a damage control and I think they're doing a great job. But they're still in a very fragile situation, and as much as the Philippines could win, I feel like they shouldn't yet, at least for the next decade. Anyways, congratulations to Mina!
Oh, if that's the case, it's very a wise choice for the organisation to choose their winner. It shows the real essential elements of the girl that could win, rather than just a pretty performance on stage. Miss Korea always looked so calm, natural, graceful, and mature. She didn't try to be the eye-candy for everyone, but purely herself. She can be a strong leader, but with a graceful and kind attitude at the same time. Her final answer really showed who she really is, no need to give the big-wow cliché answer. It's obvious that the organisation saw a great deal in her.
Miss Korea is just like that. She wasn't supposed to push through with the competition because of health issues so maybe at that moment she wasn't feeling well yet but she did great given the situation or maybe that's just her personality. But in the end you mentioned that she looked shocked and in disbelief.
A couple of things: 1) I absolutely LOVED the opening number. It was extremely entertaining and very different from the typical “pageant” opener! 2) Miss Korea had this certain poise about her when she spoke onstage that I just couldn’t place. I loved her humble attitude! 3) Australia was my fav!! Her gown suited her so well and my gosh she was striking. (All of the ladies were - I couldn’t believe my eyes!) I fell in love with Miss Australia’s relatable spirit!
There's a full video version of the pageant with the top 8 Hashtag round. And about Korea being subdued in the finals, she was actually sick that night, she was rushed to the hospital a day before. Hence her lack of energy but we know she could have been ravishing as she displayed during the prelim competitions
I felt that Ms. Korea's answer just touched the judges' hearts for sure that's why she got it! But I thought it's gonna be between Australia & Palestine in the end coz both have that Hollywood actress's look!!
I'm with you in Colombia's gown. Not a fan of ball gowns only because it's hard to showcase sexiness and stand out from it. But boy oh boy, she showed how it's done. She was floating. Masterclass! She's the only one who wore it made her unique, so she stood out afterall.
I think Miss Korea's answer is out of the box answer for Miss Earth. While the other candidates said the problem, Miss Korea said the heart of the problem. When you reflect more about her answer you'll realize that she got the best answer in their final q&a.
Love all your comments.. I keep on looking at your winged- cat-eye makeup cause it really accentuate your beauty. Hope to remake a video makeup tutorial.
The upside of Korea winning is that the other outstanding finalists, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Colombia and Australia can set their sights on MW and/or MU. As Dani stated, Zimbabwe is made for MU; beauty, poise, charisma. With the right training for Q and A she could go all the way.
I was surprised USA, Indonesia, Thailand, and Venezuela all failed to make top 20. I wish Zimbabwe had advanced further and would also like to see her at another pageant
@@DaniWalker talking about #Integrity (ME Colombia's top 8 card) SGV is the accounting firm that MEO has been tapping for the tabulation for years already. SGV is I think somewhat of an extension or I don't know what it's called but they are in line/partnership with Earnst & Young here in the PH.
Hi Dani, thanks for sharing your comments. I thought the top four was ok. To me the winner should have been either Colombia or Zimbabwe. I also would love to see Zimbabwe at Miss Universe. With just a bit of training and better outfits she would be the winner hands down. Colombia had my attention the entire time. So true what you said about real estate hahaha.
According from a vlogger Ms Venezuela was NOT listening during some talks/seminars and was very busy with herLIVE TIKTOK or FB videos. Thus her NON INCLUSION. Love your vids DW!😀
As to the final question, what I don't understand is why they used the word "Right" rather than "Correct". Homophone to "Write" is confusing because candidates don't read it, they only listen. It's not a non-english-speaker-friendly way of questioning.
Who gets to choose the ladies outfits. For swimwear they sometimes wear similar outfits but then for gowns do the contestants pick their own gown how does that work? By the way I love the green suit it makes you look important like you have a meeting with the president or something.
Miss Colombia is early favorites and a strong contender from the beginning, I think she should have won if she didn't exceed the time limit on the final question. Anyway congrats Miss Korea well deserved win!
i guess Miss Korea watched the 80s animation Captain Planet and the Planeteers where Heart completes Captain Planet along with Earth, Air, Water, Fire😀
What is Unique about Miss Earth is that there are No Runners up. All Miss Earth court Fire, Water Air is of equal importance, I wish they would keep switching air, water, fire every year in the random calling cause it makes people think that Miss Earth Air is 1st runner up. Also Miss Earth is making big waves in USA, They have done a fantastic job of making an inclusive pageant for Mrs, Teen and Miss Earth USA. USA should soon make a big bidding in taking a big share of the Miss Earth as a Company and organize the pageant, Miss Earth cause and advocacy is very timely for this Century !! And Finally all the girls are beautiful, smart and articulate in their advocacies, very impressed by Palestine, Australia and Korea . Plus, Miss Korea Mina Sue Choi has that KPOP Look she might become big after her reign.
@@lukes.3488 why not ? If Miss Universe was bought and is now base in Thailand . Miss Earth needs to come over and fill that void in US Pageantry now. I just saw also USA has a Jr Teens Earth, so its Jr, Teens, Miss and Mrs O_o
Dani's video has 2 advertisement before she could start. I know how important it is to the creator so fine...let my ears bleed for awhile...that's the only contribution to support one of my fave fab yt creator. Sending ♥️ from the Philippines.
Can you please make a video on some things that you would like to see added to MU and things taken out. I personally would like to see them keep the opening and closing statements.
Best swim: Colombia Yes, was shocked USA and Chile weren't called huhuhu But then again, this batch was really amazing. Many many many ladies quite deserving to be in the top 20. YES so glad Zimbabwe made it. This is the year where many non-tradionally strong countries made it and i'm sooooo happy Cuba, Palestine, Slovenia, of course Zimbabwe, Belgium, Nigeria (well OK relatively doing OK in Miss Earth), Namibia, Ethiopia, and the winner Korea made it. Strong year for Africa and Europe. Yes Zimbabwe overtook the rest of the African delegates. She wasn't in my pre-arrival fave list but she got into my list a week before finals night with Namibia, Ethiopia, and Nigeria. Was hoping Cameroon would make it as well. Yes Colombia best in Gown. Pre-arrival top four: USA, Nigeria, Dominican Republic, Palestine After their first week: Cuba, NIgeria, Chile, Palestine A week before finals: Colombia, NIgeria, Cuba, Chile Pre-finals: Colombia, Nigeria, Australia, Korea (top 8: USA, Cuba, Chile, Palestine). From the top 8, i was thinking any of the five would make it: Australia, Colombia, Korea, Netherlands, and Palestine. Great result for Netherlands but they just can't seem to break through the top eight.
Most of the miss earth delegates are miss universe caliber too... And Happy for my top 8 before the coronation they did great,: Palestine, Colombia, Australia, koreA, Cuba, Philippines, Zimbabwe & even Cabo Verde
Australia was trained by Phillipines pageant coach before competing at Miss Earth. The hashtag segment for the Top 8 was showcase on some other channel on TH-cam. Unsure if Miss Earth managed to edit the final show. Palestine and Korea was my top 2 answers and I did wonder if the bell will affect the placement, sadly it did. The Final 4 haven’t never won Miss Earth and the African delegates did well too. This year, Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International and Miss Earth crowned their first titleholder from their country, South Africa, Brazil and Korea. Wondering if the trend continue for Miss International and Miss Universe.
I think the bell should matter. It wasn't put there for nothing, otherwise we throw away quickness of mind, cohesiveness of thought, and clarity in speaking in choosing the winner. If it didn't matter this time, the girls may blabber on in the future regardless whether they have something sensible to say or not.
The trend will continue if they are deserving. Ms. Earth Korea and Ms. Supra SA are well spoken. They deserve the crown wether they are from the countries who haven't won the crown on the said pageant. Hope MU will crown the deserving queen not because of the trend.
@@treas198 but SA has been a pageant powerhouse first in MW, now in MU so it is really just a matter of time if they annex Supra. This is not to takeaway the credit to the queen, it is just that they've been sending really strong candidates. It's Korea here whose winning is truly groundbreaking.
@@chitocucio4573 Hope if the trend continues it is because the queen deserves it. Just like what i have said, Ms. Korea and Ms. South Africa deserve the crown. Did I say something that wasn't clear?
Mina wasn’t feeling well that night and she thought she couldn’t make it in the final night, because she was vomiting. Maybe the candidates are all physically drained from the activities and travels. But I’m happy that all candidates was able to appear in the finals. Gorgeous, beautiful ladies indeed. Congratulations for Mina for winning the crown despite feeling ill that night. It even shows in her face tho that she is sick. Still, sad for Indonesia, Belarus and Thailand for not making it in the first cut.
I'm sad you didn't give special mention to the opening number, Dani. I mean, I know there's still room for improvement (especially production-wise), but that opening got better and better as it went along, with several women who had special talents allowed to be given the spotlight. I found it so fun and rousing. Also, with regard to the complete footage, the complete one is on the official Miss Earth TH-cam channel. I'm surprised you didn't use that to view the pageant.
I hope ME would use a lively billboard music for next year, just like the previous editions and refrain from using ME opening theme song because it was already used many times from pre activities. Also wished Cuba was part of the top 4.
I totally agree with you about the question.. It should have written as CORRECT already not RIGHT. I thought it was WRITE even after Australia answered it. As if it was actually WRITE. so her answer was fine. The problem was with colombia.
MISS EARTH The Most Relevant Pageant. The Big Four refers to the four major international beauty pageants for women - Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Earth. The group was first described by the China Daily newspaper in 2004 as "the world's four major beauty contests", Chosun Ilbo newspaper in 2010 described them as "the world's top four beauty pageants". In 2017, the Latin Times considered the group as the "most important pageants in the world". In 2018, NBC News referred to them as the "four biggest international pageants". Hundreds of beauty contests are held annually, but the Big Four are considered the most prestigious. It support by biggest news agency in the world like The Wall Street Journal, BBC News, CNN, Xinhua News Agency, and global news agencies such as Reuters, Agence France-Presse, collectively refer to the four major pageants as "Big Four".
I mean, various Arab publications, Korean publications, and European publications also refer to it as Big 4. The only ones who don't refer to ME as Big 4 are haters cultivated by Nawat and MGI.
i have read somewhere that indognesians mass reported the broadcast of miss eerth just bec. their delegate didnt make it tonthe top 20. that was why it was interuptes for a long time.

Thank you so much! Yes, I can do that :)
I LOVE UR OUTFIT HERE!!! U LOOK SO GOOODDD
Thank you so much
The upside of Korea winning is that the other outstanding finalists, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Colombia and Australia can set their sights on MW and/or MU. As Dani stated, Zimbabwe is made for MU; beauty, poise, charisma. With the right training for Q and A she could go all the way.
I love that you are wearing green! :)
Thank you! It's funny because it wasn't intentional. I realized I was in green when I was setting up the lighting.
Danny Walker hit the silver play button (100k subs). Congrats!
We did it :)
I was surprised USA, Indonesia, Thailand, and Venezuela all failed to make top 20. I wish Zimbabwe had advanced further and would also like to see her at another pageant
Same thoughts!
I agree. She exudes confidence.
Here! Present! As always.
Loved your straightforward post-show reaction! More to come from your channel. XoXo
Stay tuned. Lots of new episodes are coming :)

Miss Earth is really Fair and square. The org never consider the sash factor and the strong fan base but they focus on the performance and advocacy ❤️
I feel like that too. I've judged for Earth USA and for Earth prelims. Scoring is super simple and straight forward. It appears to have integrity.
Oh Em Gee! I don't expect that shout out! I love ya! Thank you so much 🥰
Thank YOU!!
@@DaniWalker much appreciated.
Love the Top 4 of Miss Earth 🤩😍
Hi Dani, thanks for sharing your comments. I thought the top four was ok. To me the winner should have been either Colombia or Zimbabwe. I also would love to see Zimbabwe at Miss Universe. With just a bit of training and better outfits she would be the winner hands down. Colombia had my attention the entire time. So true what you said about real estate hahaha.
Gosh I hope to see Zimbabwe on that Universe stage
@@DaniWalker me too she is stuuuunning!!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I love the Miss Earth green you are wearing! The color they use for the sash
Nice review Dani 💖
Well deserve winner
Is it true that during the Earth Talk (hashtag questions) that one of our neighboring countries reported it that's why it was cut off?
According from a vlogger Ms Venezuela was NOT listening during some talks/seminars and was very busy with herLIVE TIKTOK or FB videos. Thus her NON INCLUSION. Love your vids DW!😀
♥️♥️ thank you!
Korea's reaction when she made it to top four may have been because of how the host called her. She was called like as if it was a question.
Miss Korea’s last sentence of her answer is “show and spread love.”
As to the final question, what I don't understand is why they used the word "Right" rather than "Correct". Homophone to "Write" is confusing because candidates don't read it, they only listen. It's not a non-english-speaker-friendly way of questioning.
That's what I was thinking too.
Who gets to choose the ladies outfits. For swimwear they sometimes wear similar outfits but then for gowns do the contestants pick their own gown how does that work? By the way I love the green suit it makes you look important like you have a meeting with the president or something.
NICE COMMENTARY. DIRECT TO THE POINT
We waited for this❤️
Thank you for coming!
Zimbabwe and netherlands were gorgeous.
Miss Korea is not feeling well. She’s been hospitalized the night before the finals
omg i didnt know that, shes invincible frfr
Miss Colombia is early favorites and a strong contender from the beginning, I think she should have won if she didn't exceed the time limit on the final question. Anyway congrats Miss Korea well deserved win!
The problem is Colombia didn't answer the question despite the host already telling her that it is RIGHT and not WRITE.
i guess Miss Korea watched the 80s animation Captain Planet and the Planeteers where Heart completes Captain Planet along with Earth, Air, Water, Fire😀
Yes. I think Miss Earth USA will soon buy shares of Miss Earth. They are really gaining momentum.
Palaestine was wearing a Leo Almodal gown, Korea is in a Louis Pangilinan. Ms Korea was actually sick a day or two before the finals
Can you please make a video on some things that you would like to see added to MU and things taken out. I personally would like to see them keep the opening and closing statements.
Very good analysis!
Thank you so much!
I Love You Dani Walker 😘😘😘
Thanks for ur recap Queen 🤗
Thanks for watching!
My Top 5 in the swimsuit competition were Australia, Cuba, Colombia, Korea and Zimbabwe
Korea was actually sick during finals 😭
Miss Earth uploaded a full version without the cut already
Oh nooo lol. I filmed/edited this before that was posted.
Best swim: Colombia
Yes, was shocked USA and Chile weren't called huhuhu
But then again, this batch was really amazing.
Pre-arrival top four: USA, Nigeria, Dominican Republic, Palestine
After their first week: Cuba, NIgeria, Chile, Palestine
A week before finals: Colombia, NIgeria, Cuba, Chile
Pre-finals: Colombia, Nigeria, Australia, Korea (top 8: USA, Cuba, Chile, Palestine).
From the top 8, i was thinking any of the five would make it: Australia, Colombia, Korea, Netherlands, and Palestine. Great result for Netherlands but they just can't seem to break through the top eight.
Dani, you and your spunk were fantastic in this recap! 🤣🙌 Hope you are doing well.
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Most of the miss earth delegates are miss universe caliber too... And Happy for my top 8 before the coronation they did great,: Palestine, Colombia, Australia, koreA, Cuba, Philippines, Zimbabwe & even Cabo Verde
Korea¡!!!!!!!!
I ❤️ your green blazer. Fun fact: I wore one like that for my graduation last week.
Awww thank you! Look at us twinning!
My favorites were the whole top 4 but for me I would give the crown to Colombia.
There's a lot to improve on for Miss Earth but it was still a good production.
Dani, I hope that you get to judge the finals of Miss Earth in the future. Maybe, we can start a petition hahaha
I'd love that!
I agree! Together with The Sovereign.
And Siera Bearchell
No gurl, ME it's not a game show. It's a pageant! Golden buzzer? For real?
I hope ME would use a lively billboard music for next year, just like the previous editions and refrain from using ME opening theme song because it was already used many times from pre activities. Also wished Cuba was part of the top 4.
Winners were all deserving....the only downside was the outdated production style particularly the bad camera works which was MU's forte.
MISS EARTH CONTESTANT ARE BEAUTIFUL AND INTELIGENT COMPARED TO MGI....
Miss Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 💜👑
Miss Palestine 🇵🇸 👑🧡
i have read somewhere that indognesians mass reported the broadcast of miss eerth just bec. their delegate didnt make it tonthe top 20. that was why it was interuptes for a long time.
Miss Earth season Omg
Ms. Australia looks like Ms. Canada 2018 Marta Magdalena Stepien. . . What do you think guys?
Oh I can see that!
Colombia did take up some real estate during the evening gown competition. #lol Was she wearing a Michael Cinco dress??
I don't think it's Michael Cinco but it does remind me of his large skirts. Like the gown Andrea Meza wore for her farewell.
@@DaniWalker I was thinking more of Priyanka Chopra (Miss World winner from India) during a movie awards in Cannes, France.
the one and only best peyyyyyygeeeeennnnnnttttt
Speaking of green, I noticed that you're also wearing a green suit for this video. Very Miss Earth of you.
Total accident too lol.
