To be fair, I don't think Anne would be accusing Paula with no proof or just out of spite, especially since she thinks of herself as a woman who knows a lot of business. Defaming Paula baselessly would be shooting herself in the foot. I hope to see some evidence regarding her claims so I can truly back her up. I am skeptical to take either side, because while Paula is a seasoned veteran by this point with decades of experience, there have also been several scandals during her years that would line up perfectly with what Anne has to say. But until Anne shows some receipts, I cannot take her side.
That's what makes this confusing to me. You'd need proof. But publicly making allegations could expose Anne to legal proceedings. So it makes you wonder why the statement would be made at all. First, Dani, you look soooo beautiful in this video. Second, I actually think the claim that the contestants (that make it to the final) are chosen prior the main competition is true, even maybe the winner or last two standing on the stage holding hands. But it's not a bribery, nobody is paying for that (again I think). These women are being observed (after they win the national title) carefully by MUO. MUO check their bio, social media, advocacy, it is so easy to find all information nowadays. Then when it comes to the competition, they also have to deliver and those who are prepared usually do. Again no bribery there. At the end of the day MUO is an employer looking for the best candidate to do the job of Miss Universe and they have the right to choose (as any other employer) the best representative. Anne is a business woman, she doesn't have a clue (in my opinion) what that job requires. As Paula would say:"It's one woman's destiny."
Thank you so much! I can remember when I competed for USA that there's a clause that says judges, MUO and it's members select the semi finalists. As contestants we all agree that regardless of score, we can be bumped in or out of a semi final.

Honestly I'm not sure what to say. There's been too much MUO news lately. I wish we could get one year where there's no leadership change, no new rules or scandals.
There is a lot to prove.. May b there was a deep culture like think in mu that the new owner can't take . Also - there is not many shocking placements in top 20 in mu2023 like previous years. Many of them were kind of expected. - in 2021 miss usa made into the top10 although she had only some days to prepare. I'm not saying she didn't deserve or have bad speaking skills. But now people having a mentality to always put usa in their prediction. - in mu2023 miss usa was very strong and great speaker . I was rooting for her but shocked that she didn't make it into the top 10. - i think for me when it comes to winner , mu is not rigged. Cuz all the winners are best from there batch. following the pageant for such a long time, it is clear that the organization is struggling to stay relevant. but i mean, it is hard to balance the profit gains, the expectations of sponsors and stakeholders, while ensuring the integrity of the organization to offer a platform for aspiring young women. from trump to img to now jkn, these players are obviously looking at the profitability. on the flipside, paula has stayed really true to the core of her beliefs. i don't think she has anything to be afraid of in these accusations as her pedigree will speak for itself.
Paula has been in the industry for years some of you might not know she was a Associate director for Star Search and is well connected in Hollywood. I can imagen she knows some good lawyers and let's not forget she was able to work under the former President and deal with him so for her to respond to Ann I take that as a warning for Ann to Back up and Zip it unless She wants to go toe to toe. If no one resigns, as Anne would have claimed it, if she fired every important people within that organization, then Anne wants to change the MUO. That would be completely unfair for all the contestants, what was the judging criteria in that case to determine the finalists? I don't know the truth behind any of these allegations so I won't judge but will wait to see how it all unfolds
So she is saying that the top 16 was already picked before even the preliminaries happened? This is a serious charge as Khun Anne should have proof before making such claims. On the other hand, as the owner, she had every right to discard the list and have the preliminaries determine the semi-finalists.

There is clear evidence from photos and clips though that Anne did arrive in New Orleans prior to prelims I wish we can see clear evidence in all this as well as it would be a completely unfair process.. there would be no point having closed interviews or prelims in that case and puts the whole MU credibility down the drain.

I do believe Paula was doing corrupt things. Ann wouldn't have said so publicity without proof. I also do believe that their was a clash of egos. Paula is used to being in charge under both Trump and IMG. So when Ann came along as a hands on owner who wants to be fully involved it made Paula uncomfortable. She knew things wouldn't be the same.

- in 2021 miss usa made into the top10 although she had only some days to prepare. I'm not saying she didn't deserve or have bad speaking skills. But now people having a mentality to always put usa in their prediction.
- in mu2023 miss usa was very strong and great speaker . I was rooting for her but shocked that she didn't make it into the top 10.

following the pageant for such a long time, it is clear that the organization is struggling to stay relevant. but i mean, it is hard to balance the profit gains, the expectations of sponsors and stakeholders, while ensuring the integrity of the organization to offer a platform for aspiring young women. from trump to img to now jkn, these players are obviously looking at the profitability. on the flipside, paula has stayed really true to the core of her beliefs. i don't think she has anything to be afraid of in these accusations as her pedigree will speak for itself.
This is the downfall of this organization. The owner shouldn’t be involving herself in any part of the pageant as it will cause speculation.

Paula has been in the industry for years some of you might not know she was a Associate director for Star Search and is well connected in Hollywood. I can imagen she knows some good lawyers and let's not forget she was able to work under the former President and deal with him so for her to respond to Ann I take that as a warning for Ann to Back up and Zip it unless She wants to go toe to toe. Something tells me We are Not aware of some major events happening and for Rocha to pay 16 Million Dollars tells me Telemundo and NBC still have a stake in the pageant since the ratings were record breaking in those markets
