The thing I love most about your builds are that they aren't about "Create this EXACT thing". Instead, you seem more interested in inspiring creativity in your audience, giving them basic tips on the building art, and enhancing their work with a creativity and exuberance that most build-shows lack. Thank you for that, sir.
dude i love your creativity.. i love building stuff.. now i wanna do more of this type of build.. i do all my stuff in eva foam but now i will start using styrine too i could totally see this in a movie.. easily~~
Hi.. I'm a new subscriber to your channel.. I have not yet seen all the videos you have done but the 20 so far that I have seen are great.. Your channel has helped me out on some wash techniques as well as other things. Thank you so much for a great channel
Great video and I love the KISS method you used to tell us how to make this really fascinating helmet. For those of you who do not know what the KISS Method is, it’s simple,...keep it simple stupid! Look forward to reviewing all of your other videos and future videos!
The quality of your builds and creativity is equally as impressive as your quality of production on these tutorials. Great pacing, instruction, and very entertaining. Great stuff!! :)
I've been needing to watch this video for a long time now. See for the past, gee two years now, I've been working on a Green Ranger cosplay inspired by the 2017 movie. The costume needs some repairs now, being as which I went to a con while it was/still at 85% completion, but one thing I learned while making it is that there is always more than one way to skin a cat. I'm working on the base of the helmet now, and I may use the window tint technique for the visor.
another cool thing to get from the home center stores is large and small plastic wall anchors the shapes are great and the plastic is strong so they dont brake easy i used some this week as smalls barrels on my blasters
that helmet came out awesome, your videos are always so very informative, and I find new things that I can use... thanks again, oh by the way when are you coming to Michigan or at least be in the general area,(Ohio, Indiana), my wife and I would love to get a chance to meet and chat a bit with you...
Just found your video's, and i love them all. I've been going to cons for a while, just as a spectator, but I've decided to try some cosplaying. I have a lot to learn, and teaching an old dog new tricks is hard. I'm 60 and on disability, so I hope and pray I didn't wait to late in life to start doing this. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I enjoy all your video's and their content. Keep up the great work!
I think it would of been cool if you dry brushed some good or copper for additional colour, as well as perhaps some red stripes or yellow "safety" labels. Great build
See, doing things like Boba Fett armor - cosplay from a popular franchise - is, as you said, a great way to "toe-dip" into builds....but this -- THIS is DIY Prop-Making, and yes, this is totally usable in a major-studio production; Dr.Who has been recycling Cyberman heads for how long?. Excellent video as always, and -- you now have a bad-guy opponent for your DIY, Red Guard armor character from a year ago......And, fer the yunginz -- Earth, Wind & Fire, baby!
I would make sure the face grates were actual holes, and also put some extra vents in the top of the helmet, just to make sure the helmet has some extra ventilation for the actor and isn't as hot as it normally would be. Also the reduced heat will make sure the hot glue lasts longer and won't get messed up by the mix of heat and moisture from the actor sweating. Also you should remove the brim from the back of the hat because it still looks like a hard hat from that angle.
This is fantastic! I love how that helmet came out. Hey at the end of the video you did an audio effect to make it sound like your voice was filtered through a mask - could you do a video about how to do sci-fi voice effects? Maybe share some of your tips or things you’ve picked up. Like how to make it sound like a helmet (like a Stormtrooper or Darth Vader), how to make it sound like a hologram, and maybe how to make it sound alien or like a robot. There are a lot of audio effects you can apply in Premiere and even Audacity, it’s a bit daunting if you don’t know where to start.

Welcome Marco glad to hear that
Looks awesome! Very angular.

So cool that you made this up and didn’t use a template. Excellent work!!

The Vshaped Visor Looks Very appropriate for a Viscious Villain.
Sick build man! all your videos are so legendary, I wish I had the time and money to find and build those
Thx DB

I think it would of been a little more visually interesting. I like your use of greeblies, I use many of the same or similar items! :)
I enjoy the creativity 👍
Inspiring~! Thank you, man! Great work
Looks a bit like the warlock helmet form Destiny sweet build.

copy that SAM
Great Tutorial! Very inspiring! Thumbs up
Thx B
This is great :)
This is bad ass bro! 😮😮😮😮
Oh crap! I actually had that helmet from the P-Funk video when I was a kid around 79 or 80! Mine was black and obviously a knock off of Darth Vader.
I think you'd have fun working with foam
I Love it, I have spoken.

I’ve only built a blaster on my channel and that’s it
Would you ever consider making your own Kamen Rider belt (or any sort of HENSHIN Device)? But darn that helmet turned out awesome!!
Im definitely a no cost builder. If I can find stuff or more than often than not piss my wife off by saving garbage for builds Im happy
The helmet looks like Daft Punk meets Batlestar Galactica
Hot glue is okay but GOOP is SO worth the extra cost. Durability means the piece can be revamped and reused.
copy that Tman
That V-shaped visor made it look like the Vegas Golden Knights logo.
