Okay, new challenge/suggestion after seeing this; make a wearable Space Marine helmet from Warhammer 40k, Loyalist Chapter of your own choice (or a poll if necessary).
Honestly, I think I prefer these sorts of videos over the fan-made projects. You dive into your imagination and it brings a level of childish wonder and its good to see you've kept that creativity as you've grown up.
I think the best part about this episode is the stress test. Lots of people promote product, this is the first time I've seen someone stress test it on air. THanks Odin! Also, Real Ghostbusters Proton Pack! I need plans lol
I love the fact that you periodically remind people on how you makes certain tools that you use. It's really a lot of fun when you have learned so much from making projects and then you can dip into that pool for inspiration to make your own design. :0)
NGL, that's pretty sweet. I definitely wouldn't have gone with those colours designing my own helmet, but that's because I'd have gone more military and less space miner. Weathered like that, the colours go pretty well together. I'd have maybe added some numbers and a company logo or something, to accentuate the space mining company theme. Like, 'this is a generic piece of equipment out of hundreds assigned to every worker.' Also, if you really want to play up the space miner thing, add a respirator as well, in case of gas pockets while mining.
Seems to be very form fitting, maybe hot to wear. Make little bigger with spaced strips underneath and small fan for air flow. Can put lot of tech but I know you wanted to keep simple.
Well! I was definitely impressed. Both with the helmet and Plaid's new paint. You definitely showed how well it works and how durable it is. Guess I'll be buying myself some Plaid FX cosplay paint in the future. And I will definitely keep digging how Odin makes!
Hey Odin, you should try and make one of the helmets from the Dead Space games. They have soooo many helmets and suits for you to choose from. Or even the Plasma Cutter from the Dead Space games.
Okay. This is a sponsored video and I acknowledge that - but I like that you're also including things like being able to pull off the paint with the duct tape. Makes the results seem more trustworthy than some of the ads you see out there.
This thing looks so cool, like an engineer's helmet or smth, I can kind of imagine the green scope to be like a measuring device or something that detects wires or pipes in walls and floors
That Helmet almost tempts me to suggest Cobra Commander's helmet. But the Sunbow Helmet is easy... The Late 80s DIC Helmet is more challenging. And yes, I'm taking a break from suggesting the 2002 Skeletor splitting blade
I’ve been wondering, could you make the Super Shotgun from DOOM (either the one from DOOM 2 or DOOM Eternal) or Doomguy’s helmet from the original DOOM or the one for Doomguy from Quake Champions. Just a thought
If you aren't tired of Doom after making the Slayer helmet, please make the Crucible! The Doom Eternal model would probably be easier, but you can choose either that or the demonic Crucible from 2016!
Odin you've done it again I like your own Sci-Fi Helmet It suits your personality as a master builder I've always been a big fan. keep inspiring builders like me. can't wait to see what you make next. total props to you Odin. You're a super Master Prop Builder.
@@OdinMakes no problemo just me being a fan I watch your videos everyday and you always brighten my passion for prop building I wish I could meet you someday to me you in person. you are truly a great menot to us all
Blue and orange are used a lot by Michael Bay. You’ll always see them in his films whether it’s the actual colors or shades or mat versions of those two colors. I’d like to see you do Doom or Master Chief helmet or Samus.
A really awesome helmet build in the future would be Zero's helmet from Code Geass. Or one of the Britanian Soldier helmets from Code Geass, if you don't want to make something with a fully adjustable back and a panel in the visor that opens up to reveal his eye to use his Geass. lol
Why don't you mark out your headcast? Put centre lines on it, and other useful or common measurements, so you always have the reference and don't need to do as much figuring every time? Probably a good reason I've not considered! Love this stuff, and I learn a lot, methane you!
man that's an awesome design, i totally see the police look too. would have kept the orange side panels and maybe limit the other orange areas personally, when they were getting covered i was a bit sad, still great helmet!
You do such good work making iconic props from movies and games, but it's always nice to see you stretch your imagination Odin. You have such a passion for creativity. Maybe consider more projects that involve making something up rather than based directly on something from popular culture directly. An example, maybe your theme is wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland. Maybe take a raw idea like that and just roll with it.
@@OdinMakes Odin watching this video again, have you considered making further costume components to this helmet? That could be a lot of fun to imagine.
I think the back gives the impression of a full body helmet, you know? But the full helmet together looks really dope, like a cop in a miner facility? Also have you considered trying dipping thread in silver/whatever base coat you have on, to show thin scrape marks? Like, it's in an abrasive environment. Its fun to do as weathering but it's real easy to overdo.
@@OdinMakes i used it to do small scratches on my goblin slayer costume, I was trying to show it being like. Torn up by rocks and gravel from explosions and stuff?
In the vein of custom builds, I have always been interested in the poke fan character in pokemon, but I think it would be cool on a higher cosplay level, and the Generation 3 legendaries lend themselves very well to inspired armor, and I would love to see how "odin makes" that!
Can you please one of asta's swords from black clover? I watched your other sword tutorials but I'm still having trouble making his swords for cosplay.
Ok... unrelated to the specific build, but WHAT are the metal weights with holes in them you use to hold stuff down? I see a lot of crafters use similar things and must know!
They are called 1-2-3 blocks. They are a machinist's tool. Easy to find on Amazon. Get the inexpensive ones, unless you are planning on using them with your milling machine, then getting the better blocks where all the threads in all holes in the blocks match up. As a crafter's tool, the cheap $13 - $20 a set are fine. I bought 2 sets years ago and love them. Adam Savage is where I first saw them. Watch his foamcore house build, he uses them a lot there.
I could totally see this helmet in a dystopian sci fi movie, like the remake of Robocop or Total Recall. I love the saiyan scouter like lens, it adds a nice touch
Odin Makes I can see that looking awesome. The back plates on the helmet made me kind of think of the helmet Major West uses in the Lost in Space movie from 98. I don’t know if that might give you any inspiration, but that was what it started to remind me of
I hope he does more own imagination builds in the future.
Future video: Samus helmet video, the comments, all me cause nobody agrees with me
Also me: I CAN SEE THE FUTUREEEEE
I agree!
Samus helmet? Yes!
Also, you need to lay off the espresso--badly! -_^
@@kitirena_koneko cant this time. I need my metroid fix mmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
It would be amazing to see a pyramid head helmet and his great knife done from the Silent Hill movie
Don’t know why, but this reminded me of “The Shoveler” from Mystery Men. I like it!
My first thought too! Great minds, or small minds? ;>)
"I shovel well. I shovel very well!" - The Shoveler (Mystery Men,1999)
Great looking Sic Fi Helmet Odin!
4:25 great advice from odin
Hey Odin, how about making Issac Clarkes helmet from Dead Space
🙏🏿
Never mind the helmet, make the full suit! With the glowing health gauge on the spine and everything.
Alwaysdid wanted to know how to see from it with all the leds
YESS
@@Omicron9999 With LEDs that are timed so they fill up.
This is a great build! You should make the crucible sword from DOOM Eternal!
Someone else agrees with me? Nice
that would be awesome!

Thanks for the shout out again Odin. Another Savage helmet build.
Awesome work Odin!

I like that the helmet seems industrial instead of military. With modifications it could go either way. Great video.

well, Alright then! :)
that orange definitely makes it look more like a worker's helment. i like it.
Well shoot, now you gotta make a full suit of custom scifi armor to match.
I would totally wear that helmet in any futuristic construction site space war adventure! 👍
Like the guys from Enemy Mine? The slaver/miners?

The paint is really amazing!
Have you done a test on Plaid FX paints on 3D Prints by any chance? I'm pretty curious to see how those work!
I have not done it myself, but I hear it works very well! And mix in an airbrush medium and you can spray it.
Awesome video - even better helmet! Also very honest review of those paints...they look amazing!

The Helmet looks amazing dude
Could you please make a light up foam marshmello helmet? I really like how you do these and want to make one but have no clue how to make one.
