    Off topic so my apologies. My wife has been watching your channel for quite some time. She has a colonoscopy/endoscopy scheduled tomorrow. They are going to be using propofol. She was on clonazepam .5mg for nearly 17 years. She did a two year dry taper and has been off close to two years. She still has sporadic withdrawal symptoms such as dizziness, muscle twitching, and sharp pains at the back of her head among many others. Should we be concerned about propofol? Thank you.

    Your videos are so informative.
    It is almost 70 days I quit benzo after tapering. But still suffering from physical and mental symptoms. Physical are more manegable, but mental symptoms are frightening. I never had any issue before benzo, but during my taper, a constant feeling of unreality was there. After coming off also, a patch of detachment from surrounding disturbe me and gives me intense anxiety.

    Will they fade away with other physical symptoms?

    Hi again, I have wrote you few times. I'm having really pure hell the whole time in my taper.
    I have that "brain lock" you said it is normal and many other people as well. Can horror waking ups be due to benzo and tapering? I have had few people saying it is part of the process for many. I have so bad waking ups, no brain, and feel like I die and then think I have to die and have to fight against the thoughts.
    I get no windows. I can't anymore go even for walk and my mom helps me to get food and going to store is awful, feel depersonalization and derealisation and disconnected from people and enviroment. And totally brain dead whole day.
    This is my third time to try to get off of this drug. I had in spring ct at hospital from 5 mg of diazepam and I came home with brain lock (had it just two weeks away over a year ago when I was in bad withdrawl symptoms of oxazepam after detox and had crossover to diazepam 10 mg and it took all my witdrawl symptoms away and brain lock also. I had few good weeks and could function normally. But taper was too quick and went badly wrong. In summer they tried me klonopin to get me relief for a while and then taper but it didn't help. Half year later I said to my doctor that I think I suffer withdrawl even don't taper and want to taper with Ashton manual and she was willing to read it and we started over three months ago. I have dropped from total 60 mg of diazepam and klonopin to 27,5 mg of diazepam.
    I tried to force myself earlier to walk but my body doesn't have power and I fear leaving home. Exposer doesn't help.
    I'm isolated and can't even be with my partner or anybody else than my mom when we go to store. I tell my hell (that I can't believe it is true) all the time to my loved ones and feel like I'm in a different reality from other people. I fear I have the worst brain injury that anyone has had.
    Can't understand TV or anything normal. I fear taking trash out.
    I have still 50 mg of short quetiapine and 150 mg of long quetapine and 20 mg of temazepam that doctor says will be taken away after diazepam.
    I have dropped quetiapine 100 mg in the beginning of taper.
    I'm normally confident active social person and now i'm alone mostly and in constant fight or flight state and panic and terror.
    I have very good doctor who understands now benzo and also that that temazepam (benzo) has to be tapered but she says not until first diazepam because she is afraid too many changes and that I start to not sleep, she admits that it is also making me depressed etc.
    I have watched one guy's videos and he had much xanax and tapered with Ashton manual and says he was also not functioning during the benzo and also tapering and that due benzo brain and body becomes disabled. He was isolated at his home for three years and survived and lives normal life.
    Please if you can answer me and tell me if you heard that someone has had "brain lock" very long time and waking in horror and death and obsessive suicedal thoughts (my doctor knows these) because feels like not one day anymore totally not brain understanding anything, can't function, just eat and go to shower. It would really help me to continue my taper. I fear I won't ever get my normal life back. I would really need hope that I'm not the worst case and only one who can't survive even I'm so weak at this point already and have lot to taper.
    I would have a great life ahead if I heal.
    Thank you for this morter march, I try to do it everyday and also ten minute breathing meditation, that is all I can do.
    I know you are busy but would be great if you can give me hope to my constant severe problems.
    I am very depressed because I can't be myself and ecercise and be with people etc. I fear I have to die.
    I don't want to.
    This has been going on for 1,5 years. Have ten months to taper to zero. If I can get to ten mg at home I will do milk titration 0,5 mg per week. Lots of love and all the best to you. Thank you.

    • @BenzoBrains
      @BenzoBrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry you've been suffering so much for over a year now. Certainly cutting your quetapine like that at the beginning of your taper made you more unstable. Dosing with short acting Restoril every night could also be making you feel worse. Ashton highly recommends switching all benzos over to one longer acting benzo and then tapering them all together. Punching your system with more benzos at night as your tapering can be counter productive. This may be something to discuss with your doctor. You're not the worst case, not by far, although I know it seems that way. That's the benzo talking, feeding you fear that somehow you're the worst and you can never come back from this. But you can and will heal. It's just a matter of time and givinng your body the proper support it needs to heal. Functional medicine can be very helpful in this regard if you can find a knowledgeable practitioner. Keep going. Don't listen to the lies. These things all get better with time.

    • @lauriina85
      @lauriina85 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BenzoBrains Thank you so much for answering, I really am grateful. I have asked my doctor to switch temazepam to diazepam at night. But she says no. I will ask again. She has read Ashton manual and is very kind. Is my brain dead state normal? It went once away like I told year ago when I was in bad withdrawl symptoms of oxazepam and doctor gave me first time diazepam 10 mg and my withdrawl symptoms went away, also brain lock nyt taper was too quick and went badly wrong. I can't understand and simple things and feel like I'm not part of this world and people. I'm isolated a lot because I tell my hell all the time to my loved ones and feel like I am in a different reality from other people, in hell.
      Please if you can answer that it is normal that brain doesn't understand daily tasks and that people can live normal lives and everyday wake up brain dead in total horror and feel like I can't take one day anymore like this.
      Thank you for saying I'm not the worst case. I can't do barely anything. If I go to the store to get food with my mom I feel like I'm not part of normal life and cry in the car. I am very depressed because I can't do things i love, exercise, cook be with my partner and mom and other people. Take a new puppy.
      Thank you if you can answer that brain not functioning normally. You have heard so much so you have the knowledge. I'm thinking ending my life everyday because of this. And my doctor knows it. I would have a great life ahead if I heal. Thank you so much.

    • @lauriina85
      @lauriina85 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BenzoBrains ❤ I really am grateful to you that you use your time and knowledge for me.
      I'm so scared with this brain.
      Am living life not worth living isolated alone. Everybody just waits will I get better. I have mom and brother and partner who helps me to get food and meds. But I'm alone.
      And I was doing very intense exercises before this hell, cycling (my partner is ex competive (i don't know the word) biker and he always made very hard cycling exercises and I loved them even I have this rare brain decease and have had two strokes in head when i was child and went through very big surgerys and my decease is calm, mri was fine in spring and doctors say it is not causing this brain lock and it has never done that and also it wouldn't have helped with 10 mg of diazepam year ago) running, walking and going to gym. Now I can't go anymore even for walks.
      I fear I have permanent brain damage. And I have seen the insomnia, puking etc in low doses and I don't know how to even get to low doses because I'm so exhausted and hopeless.
      I want my life back, my normal brain back. I want to fight these drugs off me. I just don't have power, I still try. I went to acupuncture, have known him very long but he couldn't help, he tried but said I'm too full of meds and he can help if I get off and then balance my system.
      Thank you if you can give me hope about dealing with brain lock and that it is normal and this is fight worth suffering. Thank you. ❤

    Hey I’m currently on a tapering plan with my doctor he first started me with 5mg of Xanax taken in the morning and every 3 days It would go Down by 1 mg. I have been abusing xanax for 5-6 months and I have told my doctor this and I was using high doses some even up to 12 mg of xanax and also was using clonazepam at the same time and I told my doctor this and he gave me this tapering plan and now I’m on my last day of this tapering plan which I just took 1 mg of Xanax 3 hours ago and I already feel the withdrawals coming and I have been thorough out the whole tapering process and I have my appointment with my doctor in 3 days so really now I have to wait cold turkey for 3 days which I know will be hard. My question to you is what do I tell my doctor and how do i tell him that I still been having withdrawals throughout the tapering process without him thinking I just want to abuse more Xanax or benzos?

    • @BenzoBrains
      @BenzoBrains  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I still have tinnitus to varying degrees. I got that from my first cold turkey off Ambien. It's not a problem for me though. Lots of things contributed to my healing from brain zaps. Changing my diet and balancing my insulin fluctuation, hormonal balance, and gut balance with a functional medicine doctor really helped. You could try searchin FNDs or holistic practitioners in your area. Brain fog and fatigue were really helped by a ketogenic diet for me. Sometimes it's caused by toxicity and so, honestly a coffee enema can really help clear that up for me as well if that's the case.
