The house was on the magazine cover Claire handled in a previous épisode (when his patient dyed, allergic to pénicilline). So many easter eggs : the orange, the vase, the microscope, the red dress, the paintong she is looking at (Fraser's Ridge House), Jamie wrapping her with his plaid like when they met. Fergus and Jocasta, with hand and sight restaured, Germain playing with a dragonfly...
I love that Marciley took out Brown and listed off everyone he hurt as she did especially when she called Claire her Ma it gives me chills every time I watch the scene.
Another fine reaction. Yes, this was a tough one and I haven't got much to add that hasn't already been said. I will say that Jamie's line at the end, "If the last thing I say to you is not I love you, know that it's because I didn't have time" is one Diana Gabaldon credits her husband as saying to her once.
Did you also notice the orange in her hand in her “dream state” as she was about to kill him? She held it and walked away exactly like she did when she took the orange from the king in France. It represents taking her dignity back.
I loved Claire's "happy place." There are a ton of Easter eggs in it. The blue vase from the pilot. The orange from Versailles. The house itself was from a magazine in the title card of that episode with flashbacks of her Scottish patient that died from a penicillin allergy. The house is on Fraser's Ridge. Fergus has both of his hands. Jocasta isn't blind. Murtagh's alive. It's such an interesting visualization of Claire's mind because the house itself and most of the objects are from the 20th century, but all the people are from the 18th century, showing that she is a born and bred 20th century woman, but everyone she loves, except Bree, Roger, and Jem, is from the 18th century. And Jamie saying "You're shaking so hard it's making my teeth rattle" is from the pilot. I like to think of that moment as a "core memory" (like Disney's Inside Out) of Claire's. The day she fell through the stones was probably the most confusing and terrifying moment of her life, but just after that, the love of her life wrapped her in his plaid and from that moment on, Jamie has always been her home.
I hate and love this episode so much , I love it for her 60s coping mechanism but hate it for the obvious reason, did you notice In her 60s dream she had a orange like the time the king slept with her to save Jamie
Love your reactions! Been a sub for awhile now, i just usually lurk and don’t chat but this episode was horrible/amazing. I know you you understand why. Keep up the awesome work! ☺️
when It was revealed back in season 4 that there were stones in north America I was concerned that the stone circle in the 20th century might not be there anymore.
I agree this episode was really hard to watch. I know it's only a show. But to see something like that happen. I know I would have done the same thing Jamie did without remorse or forgiveness. What was done to her almost broke me. All I could think of at that moment. 🗡☠
This was a hard episode to watch and I was worried for you since it’s always hard to see such abuse on screen, even when you know that it’s a show it’s still horrifying.
I cried my eyes out with this episode! Yes, Catriona Balfe definitely deserves an Emmy! Outlander actors are overlooked by awards!

Round of applause for catching up and giving amazing reactions! 👏🏽 👏🏽
Thank you!
I normally look forward to your Outlander reactions, but I’m sure you understand why I wasn’t looking forward to this one.
Great use of music and a make believe “safe place”. The song came out in 1967.
Now you need to rewatch and catch all the clues in the 60’s scenes from past episodes like the orange, the vase, etc. There are many.
I hate and love this episode so much , I love it for her 60s coping mechanism but hate it for the obvious reason, did you notice In her 60s dream she had a orange like the time the king slept with her to save Jamie
This episode is definitely hard to watch. Cait did an amazing job! I think this episode and Faith (tear) are some of her best performances.
your delayed reaction to "Ringo Star" ahahhahaahah
I'm surprised you didn't notice his too American accent when he spoke to Claire earlier in the episode.
I did, but do not feel the need to point that out; I am too kind, I suppose :)
This episode was really hard to watch and rewatching, but at the same time that 60's fantasy family sequence was really nice
3:15 Yes Way. 7:14 These are Men of the Ridge. Men of Clan MacKenzie! 10:47 Claire raised her Good yes?

At least it wasn't as dragged out as JaimeXJack scenes
Another great reaction. Cait did an amazing job in this episode.
My sympathies go out to the survivors of droughtlander. What a way to leave everyone. Yeesh!
I didn't enjoy season 5 that much, but this episode was a masterpiece, and heartbreaking 💔
It a Way out Story didn’t know so much was going on in this Cool share
Such a hard episode. I bawled when I watched live. They have brilliant actors on this show though.
when It was revealed back in season 4 that there were stones in north America I was concerned that the stone circle in the 20th century might not be there anymore.
Good point!

Definitely a tough way to end the season, but it beats all the cliff hangers imo. Dragonfly?
Hope you have a box of tissues close by!
Did you notice all of the Easter eggs from past episodes?
Yes, but that really didn’t matter considering how traumatizing this was.
This was a hard episode to watch and I was worried for you since it’s always hard to see such abuse on screen, even when you know that it’s a show it’s still horrifying.
👍
It seems like your revieuws are getting shorter each week, oh well on to season 6
This one had to cut almost everything out due to the content of the episode.
