i'm sorry but i hate this plot line. even if it turns out to be part of book 10 or whatever...no. why. why was this necessary? i dont like it. The reality of the pain they went through was what made it so tragic but relatable. now it's gonna turn out a wooopsiie, here, little zombie Faith. nah. screw that. 10/10 for William falling in love with and screwing his niece twice if so, show. Iconic. eww the "you look like you've seen a ghost" scene between Bree and Brian pisses me off so muuuuuuuuuuch. Please, Alexa...get soon to that scene in the books and tell me this isnt poopoo compared to how it is on the book "i was not expecting this" me: oh shit...just wait for Rollo...

As a book reader, I have no idea what the ending meant.

As much as I LOVE Master Raymond and was thrilled to see him again, I didn't like that scene. Why would he come back to ask forgiveness if he's not ready to say what for? It makes no sense, character-wise. They just needed something to make the later scenes more believable. I've heard said that Diana thought they handled that plot-line a bit clumsily. I agree. Granted, they thought S7 would be the last so they didn't have a lot of time to change/add things. Hopefully, there will be a bit more thought behind it in S8.

My theory/opinion is that Master Raymond saved Faith using the blue light. I wonder what story lines they are going to use in season 8 from Book 9 (Go Tell the Bees That I am Gone) since there are only 10 episodes. You can also speculate from the characters that they have announced that they cast for season 8.

Yeah and that makes the problem with William and Jane doing it a little incestuous because William would be Jane's uncle or something and she would be like a niece or some sort of situation it becomes all very sorted and then we have to go a little bit of like what in the world Diana still love and respect and have all the like whatever for Diana and will read anything that woman puts out but it's a little bit like it's a little bit like what what what what what what

Yeah, my mind went to necromancy for a split second, but now I'm thinking it's just swapped babies. I think Master Raymond saw the possible futures like Doctor Strange, and if Claire had kept Faith, she would have stayed, and died at Culloden, and the timeline would have unraveled. No Brie, Roger, Jemmy, Mandy, none of it.

I would say the best time of day to watch Sapphire and Steel is late at night, preferably after subjecting yourself to two or three days' of sleep deprivation and fueling up on at least a dozen cups of black coffee to really ramp up the paranoia. And no spoilers, but whatever you think's going on with the capsule - it's actually worse than you imagine.

Terrifyingly claustrophobic show, another benefit of the low budget. Trap our heroes in metal box, add blood and creepy changeling who for some reason we're not going to keep a careful eye on at all times...

To answer Alexa's question as to why Tony didn't bring any of the weapons on his wall with him, the answer is probably "Because he wasn't allowed to". I mean, Helena and the original mission review assumed he'd gone crazy. They thought he was lying about the Ultraprobe mission and that he was effectively psychotic. While you might want him along to help him confront his fears and give you advice in case he was telling the truth, would you want somebody who might have killed his whole previous crew to take along a whole bunch of lethal weapons with him? Heck, no!

I also did that same thing when Lafayette came on 😂

There are a lot of "inverted" truths in this episode which most people probably can't see. A "penal" colony run by women? What's next, a "vaginal" colony run by men? My biggest gripe though is...WHO ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE IN ALPHA? Where are Tony, Maya, Sandra, and (aside from her opening narration) Dr. Russell? Ok, I get that the actors all probably decided to take there 1 week vacation during this particular show, but come on...With only Martin Landau as a recognizable Moon Base Alpha figure, they could've just named this episode: "Space: 1999 - The Next Generation - Plus Time Traveler Commander Koenig." By the way, I love your new Space: 1999 coffee mug, Alexa! I hope you're working on a UFO set of those as well! Another great reaction video...keep them coming!

I have never heard of this compilation before. I remember watching the Sybil Danning’s Adventure Videos for Space: 1999, "Journey Through The Black Sun" and "Alien Attack", however I never came across this before. Thanks for posting this. Awesome. I will have to find a copy. It doesn't surprise me that they took out some of the stuff that you liked (character development) because it was probably just a one off thing. Not quite as back as the Sybil Danning stuff, but it could have been done better.

Good grief, Alec is such a snappish, petty dick in "The Computer Affair". How he has the nerve to blame Ed for the whole miserable debacle... (especially as we learn Ed has actually been doing his own investigation, completely rubbishing Alec's suspicions).

The quality difference with the remastered DVDs is quite something. I could watch many episodes of UFO - especially such visually stunning, timelessly weird, and Twin Peaks-esque ones as "Timelash" (I say, pausing to sob for David Lynch..), and feel like it could have been shot yesterday. This, however, feels legitimately 1970. Heaven knows why they cut the miniskirt scene, other than possibly twitchy puritanical censors. Sly sex appeal aspects aside, it's one of the few things that makes the Moonbase uniforms make a certain amount of sense (a modular design letting it serve different purposes, fit under a spacesuit, and be quickly adapted for various measurements. Still looks bloody uncomfy, though). Since the first thing the aliens do on-screen is machine-gun a civilian to death and maim another, I must say I don't rate their protestations of "mean no harm" very highly. Though I guess it makes them no more hypocritical than your average Earth imperialist.

Found this series by accident, should've made more episodes, David in the Man from U.N.C.L.E., the 60's and 70's.
