My next project within this modlist is to fully re-do the entire main story with new dialogue and voicelines pertaining a Yuuzhan Vong invasion (along with armor and ship replacements)

Bethesda made a full game. this guy gave it a new coat of paint which is REALLY impressive but don't down play Bethesda. don't get me wrong Starfield feels outdated for sure as a game but it is still a full game.
the community didnt make a "star wars game" they made some new outfits, reused star wars sounds and thats about it
Don't listen to the haters, Bethesda simply made the bones for a game, modders made an actual game out of it. Which feels like Bethesda's plan all along. That's why the story is so vague and bleak and why there're only a few factions that have barely defining features. All of it so modders can "put a fresh coat of paint on it", basically doing all of the creative work Bethesda didn't do while coming up with this sorry game.
@@xecutioneralpha-2273 oh yeah which Modder made the constellation questline o wrote the lore for the settled systems. the "bones" of the game you're referring to is jut the full game

We really need a Star Wars UI mod. I think one inspired by Battlefront 2 (2017) would be great!
Would be cool to get a mod that implements the helmet functionality. Like seeing out if it in first person like you would on a helmet. And being able to toggle night vision or thermal.
I second this! The UI can make or break the game's identity. Simply changing fonts could do so much!

I say we're less than 2 years away from a Total Conversion mod coming close to being a 1-1 Star Wars game. This is what Starfield was meant to support.
With the mod space we have it will be a piece of cake

I know this is heresy, but I want to bolt a Spock follower mod onto the modlist just so I can give him a lightsaber and have him quip about how illogical everything is while he cuts stormtroopers to ribbons. THIS IS MY MALE FANTASY!!!

there's a few mods like all the sfse dependent mods, root folder stuff, and the github/google drive packs that will unfortunately never make it to xbox due to console limitations. but everything else is technically possible but someone would have to port over all mods AND the custom patches by me for each. i wish luck to them xD
@@papaprometheus A few of them are on Xbox but all of them are buggy in some way or another. Outfits get stripping even after being fixed the audio for the star wars weapons just sound like regular gun sounds but distorted and the laser don't work right. I thought Bethesda had a dedicated mods team that would make sure mods would work right and make it easy on modders but i guess that was rubbish. The amount of times I've been told just put this or that at the top of the load order still doesn't work. Modders don't care enough about console so they don't care if mods work correctly AS LONG AS IT'S GOOD ENOUGH
even if you dont want a full star wars conversion, the alien races mod is a must have to make the galaxy feel less human dominant. it actually feels like a space game now.
As an amateur game dev, I find this very inspiring. I also try to create a nice little SW experience, and efforts like this always make me want to go back to the project. Also, making Starfield look like a game I would actually wanna play again is no small feat. I think I'll wait for v5, this already looks epic, but I have a feeling the next version will actually really make me download Starfield again.

I don't know you or your channel and I haven't even played Starfield. But I'm a huge Star Wars Nerd and almost caught a tear out of excitement while watching this video.
I would give you money to support this project if I wasn't completly broke at the moment. Just know that you have a new supporter in spirit as well as some day financially when my situation gets better. ^^

@@Falleen01 That's not entirely correct and vastly oversimplifies things.
Is a high amount of the content from other modders? Absolutely, however, what he is doing is making sure they all work together as intended, rebalancing, creating his own mods where it is necessary.
And now going on to overhaul the story of the game to fit a narrative including the Yuuzhan Vong as the big antagonist.
It is absolutely not just taking mods and slapping them together
@@Falleen01 thats not all there is to every collection. some small ones, sure, that all you have to do, but in a big list theres a lot of tweaking, patching, and removing. also i believe they said somewhere they are redoing the main story and voice lines and such
@@Falleen01 Appreciate everyone defending me here. Just for the record, over 50 mods in this list are created by me. Not including the dozens of patches I've done to other people's mods. All you had to do was look at my nexus profile, google drive, and github before making such a belittling comment lol
Due to Bethesda's failure with Starfield, I wrote it off my list of games to purchase. You sir, have turned that decision completely around. This did a rare thing for me, made me excited to lose myself in a game, and running it with Wabbajack is an outstanding decision. Promptly donated to the cause. Thank you.

@@mten10th67 Starfield has 6k average players and lost 97% of it's playerbase in 6 months. Skyrim is a 13 year old game with 20k average players. fallout 4 is a 9 year old game with 20k average players. Both skyrim and fallout are 9/10 stars on Steam. starfield is 6/10. I think that's what he means by failure.

If this passion project isn't the most inspired thing that i have ever seen, in pursuit of a realized dream, then i don't know what is. What i do know, is that this is absolutely AMAZING! This might actually become the star wars game, that i have been waiting for! May the Force be with you, and your team of fellow modders that are working towards making this dream, a reality.
I played starfield at launch but it just lacked so much identity. I was hoping someone would do something like this. Amazing work so far. People who make these mods are heroes

AMAZING work !! This is so much better than the official SW games and the vanilla Starfield combined. As a guy who grew up reading comics about the Yuuzhan Vong and played KOTOR et SWTOR this is like a dream game to me. Played only 1 hour so far but really have been loving all the effort and attention to detail in this conversion mod. Also very glad to hear its a passion project, Im excited for the Story Mode Overhaul and cant wait for it to come out. You have not only made Starfield fun to play but you have made a good star wars rpg.

Now we can only hope that someday someone will be able to rework the quests (maybe with AI dialogue edits) to fit the Star Wars galaxy - as currently this is the main drawback of trying to play Starfield as Star Wars - the quests just take you right out of the fantasy.
@@vodazz yup. The biggest hurdle here is dialogue and AI is perfect for it. I may even take my hand in making some AI voiceline replacements too in my freetime. It's going to be a big project, possibly the biggest project

Loved the use of Sovereign's voice lines when you showed off the Vong, Mass Effect doesn't get enough love these days

Changing the assets to fit a more "Star Wars" universe and not look like Akila or Jemison reskinned is certainly a monumental ask.
But I wish this felt like a completely new experience. For now, this is amazing what you and other mod creators have done. Have great days ahead!

Really would be cool to be a Jedi or Sith with a light saber but this is awesome and amazing I haven't played starfield since the first month of launch this is making me want too play it again its so badass good work man I haven't been excited too play a game in a long time

I have barely played star field but this is one of the total conversions I am excited for to bring me back. I really hope no matter how many years it takes we get the level of support in the form of dismemberment and proper lightsaber animations its a really big task I have faith in the moding community.
The inclusion of Nar Shadaa is fantastic. I feel it's one of the most underused places in the SW universe and looking forward to seeing it :D

Wow. I always wanted Star Wars Bounty Hunter/Smuggler RPG similar to this, but all the best gear you get is from buying or repairing damaged gear from dead boss NPCs, buy gadgets like wrist rockets or bolas or flamethrower, and modify weapons and gadgets to fit your style (ex. wrist rocket to either shoot one rocket, 3 with lower dmg for multiple targets or whistling bird for aoe crowd control and lowest dmg).
Im am actually excited for your project compared to the ubisoft star wars game (for which im not excited at all). Watching this video made me feel like the first time i watched those old republic fight scenes.

I never planned on playing Starfield but this actually makes it look good and it looks better than any Star Wars game we have had in a very long time. I really hope this can be played on console someday and I really hope they just make a game almost as good as this

Have you made any changes to ship capturing / modifying / selling?
That was probably what I was MOST excited for leading up to launch- and while the customization was fantastic, everything else involving ships turned out abysmal in the base game.
i changed it so u can register ships cheaper and sell it but other than that now. there's an overhaul planned for ships soon tho

Honestly I was 100% fine with StarField with just a star wars skin. it's actually what I wanted, But seeing this in action and the passion behind you and these other modders, I cna't wait to see this mod Progress and become the best SW game to ever exist!

My dream game would be something of this caliber but with online play, so we can interact with eachother in this huge galaxy far far away... Think about it, Star Wars Galaxies' level of sandbox, dynamic directional lightsaber combat similar to that of Star Wars Jedi Academy, being able to just do whatever you want, be it combat related or just chilling and being a moisture farmer on tatooine, or an entertainer class in cantina. This would be like an ultimate dream come true to every Star Wars fan I believe.
haha thats the dream. star wars galaxies was my inspiration for this. hopefully in a few years its pretty much the "singleplayer star wars galaxies" alternative

I think the one thing that’s needed to compete the set is blaster impact effect, even lighting effect from the blaster too.
This is beyond impressive, sure Bethesda took the decade or so updating the engine, sub engines, code and built the foundation, don't get me wrong that is a ridiculous amount of work even for creation engine which really even with all the updates is not a good engine. Barring the tools which have yet to be released and far as Im aware we haven't been given a date yet for them, to have created such a large scale overhaul to what is basically all of star field is insane. Huge props to whoever created this and for anyone else also involved with it.
Star Wars architecture would be great in a mod pack like this. I imagine it's a bit hard since many planets differ wildly but at least Imperial architecture and the White City architecture reused for a multitude of planets from Alderaan to Lothal is reoccurring. Farm architecture in SWTOR, the 80's cartoon Droids, and the old 2D Clone Wars was also somewhat consistent.

Genuinely good luck making light sabers work in this game, I can imagine the basic melee combat in this game wont be enough to really sell it.
yup thats why theyre not in the modlist yet. i will add them once bethesda's creation kit supports an animation framework

In regards to ship replacements, there are those two on Nexus that add the Naboo luxury ship and the fighter at a life-size scale and not oversized, they just need to be built in the creation kit and placed in game, otherwise you have to build them yourself.
@@battenburg6089 yeah I want to avoid those rn cuz I'm mainly look for replacements or a way to spawn them without building them. there are a few methods I'm looking into rn
