This is in line with a paid research group I was a part of for NSW Transport. Their idea was to replace diesel engine buses with electric ones by 2047. TWENTY FORTY SEVEN. And there was no talk of it being clean electricity either. The coastlines will have well continued to errode by then. This is the kind of change they are exploring, too little. Too late.
the problem is major changes would be to disruptive and big lobbying groups and the media would push whatever government that tried to make meaningful change out in the next election, the labor party has had to water down its policies on environmental action due to a hostile political and social environment, it seems to me that a lot of Australians are more concerned with their current comfort rather then problems they or their offspring my face later on, and the media and lobby groups pray on that to keep labor out of power or force the labor party to take on more centrist and soft policies.
You people are trying to force economically inferior options down peoples throats and claim you have a monopoly on science. Best case scenario is you push this stuff through and create a civil war because we can not live on electric and wind.

Not to mention what they've done to the Hunter Valley, the Great Barrier Reef, and Aboriginal sacred art sites.
for sure, can't wait until they can scale up international operations, every developed country would benefit from access to this info for their respective sh!tfackery lol
damn this channel really needs to scale up to present these infos for alllll of the larger countries atm especially 'murica - every human on the planet deserves to have journalists who hold the powerful accountable as this channel does, looking forward to your continued growth @thejuicemedia team 🙌
There's Julian Assange, who has done a collab with The Juice Media once. He's Australian, but he became famous with his articles about American foreign policy. And there's Edward Snowden, who is not a journalist, but has presented a lot of info about American domestic policy he thought people should know about. But regarding the larger countries - India and China by population, Russia and Canada by area - I'm not optimistic that we will get the same kind of coverage, or that the reporters will be treated with the same respect.
You have another fan in the United States...now if American media could explain things as well as "The Juice Media" Your ads bring forth a universal message and could describe stuff here too.
Yeah, but, the US of Eh have The Yes Men... although they do seem to have been a bit quiet recently. Can someone up over that way send them a postcard, or, offer to be a gaffer or boom holder for their next projects, or give them a prod and see whether they're both still functional, or something?
Except it's all lefty BS. Australia only produces around 1% of the world's total greenhouse gasses. coal is responsible for 75% of Australia's domestic energy production and coal exports make up almost 4% of the entire GDP. So reducing coal would not only hurt everyday Australians but it would do absolutely nothing to reduce the world's climate.
I shouldn't ever be made to feel happy that I might not live long enough to find out if you guys are right... but recently, that's exactly how I've been feeling. Humans are going to recognize just how badly they've fucked themselves at exactly the moment it's completely too late to do a damn thing about it, then suffer accordingly, and I kinda don't want to see it.
the tragedy is we know its coming and do fuck all , plenty of spin but fuck all anything else . The double tradgity is that it will be the innocent yet to be born that will have to deal with and struggle to survive with the real brunt of our inaction
I'm kinda glad I'm 61 with no kids so I'll be gone by the time the sh*t hits the fan. I'm doing my bit with recycling and trying to be as green as possible but it depresses me that friends with children and grandchildren don't seem to give a toss.
Sadly, i dont think thatll happen. People with the very rare trait of having some common sence and logic already know that we are shagged, but all those in power are either too greedy, stupid, or old to care and go with the idea of "by the time it becomes an immidiate problem that activly threatens currant lives, ill be long gone"
At the exact moment? That's giving humanity way too much credit... But seriously, I think most of us know, deep down at least, but those that could actually do something about it just don't give a fuck. Which is worse.

@@StratOCE Agree! The problem is that, when it comes to global warning, a miss is as good as a mile. That's due to positive feedbacks and tipping points. For example, the warmer the climate gets the more people will use air conditioners. The more A/C is used the more energy is consumed, the higher the emissions and hence warming. We cannot/must not reward governments for doing a half-assed job. To do so gives them, and those who follow, cover for continuing to do a half-assed job.

Great to see you back and still an unbiased as ever. I have something I hope you can use, I will post the link at the end with the time stamp for you to pay attention to. First, some background...I served in the Australian Army for almost thirty years, I was discharged medically for severe PTSD and other physical injuries in 2010. During my time I saw so much change from our weapons, to the length of time they put into training a soldier. It was halved for some years before they woke up. I also experienced the shame of being taken from the Australian Army and placed in the Australian Defence Force...but whatever they called us, Australia's policy regarding nuclear weapons on our territorial soil was sacrosanct. That is why we do not see U.S. aircraft carriers in our ports, they remain out at sea during all big exercises, something I have witnessed first hand. In this video, our foreign minister is being asked a simple question by the attorney general and the reply, bothers me, as it should all Australians. A Labor government who actively engages in supporting an unjust war in Europe by sending munitions and vehicles of war, I expected this of Scomo, but not his successor. If Ukraine's a democratic country, fighting for democracy, I'll eat my own crap. But things do get worse and that is why I ask you to look at this video segment. Australian people need to know what is being done behind closed doors. This is wrong and painting a huge bullseye on us for any nuclear weaponised aggressor nation. I voted for this government, because the last ten years have been more than hell itself, but to see the people who, in my time of service would cut defence spending to a point that staying qualified on rifle marksmanship was completely foregone one year. We dont need nuclear submarines, it is BS, they are not stealthy and will only serve the USA, not Australia. We will never pay for them, the first not available for now twenty nine years, but at what price then. We, like Japan are an ageing nation and our youth are less likely to want to join the military, so who will man all this equipment? Will the USA sell us robot ai to operate them as well? So much to work with, and we haven't seen the video yet... maybe you have two 😇 Guess I better shut up and put that link and time start for you to review, thank you for everything you have ever produced, it is priceless and has lifted me when I have been feeling low. th-cam.com/video/-Nn-vxxtrsc/w-d-xo.html time point 7:10 for the Australian part with our AG and our FM and some spares. Not against UK or US people moving over myself but when we Aussie's see polls like this, the first thought tends to be along the lines of: "Do they actually want to move to Australia with all its ups and downs and to help contribute, or are they after the 'UK but with sunlight, beaches and no need to learn/do anything more than that' portrayal of Australia that our tourism advertising over there probably promotes? the problem is major changes would be to disruptive and big lobbying groups and the media would push whatever government that tried to make meaningful change out in the next election, the labor party has had to water down its policies on environmental action due to a hostile political and social environment, it seems to me that a lot of Australians are more concerned with their current comfort rather then problems they or their offspring my face later on, and the media and lobby groups pray on that to keep labor out of power or force the labor party to take on more centrist and soft policies.
You people are trying to force economically inferior options down peoples throats and claim you have a monopoly on science.
Best case scenario is you push this stuff through and create a civil war because we can not live on electric and wind.
@@Archmagos_Faber That's bullshit and you know it. Nobody cares how the bus they are on is powered, unless they care about the environment. And a surprising number of people do.

Andrews Labor in Victoria was taxing electric cars back in 2021, and taxing them hard enough that you pay less tax if you run a small fuel efficient petrol (sub 5 L per 100) than an EV while removing bans on gas exploration so...
They're not good enough, but I still believe they're more serious about climate action. Previous party had near-0 investment in clean energy. Not-Quite-As-Shit Party at least is putting us down a path that will result in less carbon emissions. Just not quite fast enough, that's all.

So much to work with, and we haven't seen the video yet... maybe you have two 😇

@@_____alyptic It's Aussie slang for British types, like how we use 'Yanks' for Americans. Neither are derogatory outright but can easily lean that way given our history with the UK and the US (which is: Allies who we supposedly get along great with but stereotypically have a few very annoying tendencies we culturally do NOT like, and also in the case of the UK especially, can come with some cultural baggage. ...Like you know, the whole 'colonising the natives' thing, a good chunk of our white population being of Scottish and Irish descent and of course the British Royal family vs our kind of on/off debates on whether or not Australia should become a republic).
Cuz there's kind of a pretty important distinction between the two."
Apologies if I'm being a touch cynical here but being told 'hey tons of people want to move over there! =D' kind of unprompted in the comment section of a video about our Government being assholes (again) kind of feels like being told "Hey! Apparently plenty of people think your problems are stupid/not worth paying attention to and they want to move over there and have input in these matters that they think are so unimportant =D" and.
I'm fairly sure that's not what you were going for (rather I'm assuming you were just saying 'huh, guess people from the UK think Australia is a neat place and want to move to there, possibly because their own government is being even more trash fire' which honestly is totally valid and arguably could be said about a lot of places about the world right now) but the Aussie commentor sarcastically going 'oh joy more poms' probably read the more 'rude' interpretation and was 'equally dismissive' in turn.
