    The thing that gets me is how the Tories keep complaining about how awful things are, and how they are the ones to fix it, apparently oblivious to who the f has been in government for the last 12 years. "You're on your own d*ckheads" is honestly an entirely accurate summary of their policies.

      @@wakaisgood A democracy that was sold solely on lies using English nationalism, xenophobia and "evil foreigners". Not everywhere in the UK voted for Brexit. Scotland, Northern Ireland and London voted against Brexit and were dragged out. The result itself was close. 52/48 to leave and yet we've got the hardest of Brexits. Not all Brexiteers wanted this type of Brexit but every Remainer wanted to remain. Plus consist polls say that Brexiteers regret their choice which is not reciprocated with people who voted Remain. And Starmer, the leader of the Labour Party, once a strong Remainer, now a committed Brexiteer wants to "make Brexit work" and be "distinctively British".

      @ItsHailee7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@wakaisgood Scotland should be able to leave but both the Tories and Labour reject the Scots' request for independence. Why? Because they know England will become much poorer without Scotland because Scotland is a net-contributor to the union so they keep them hostage. But the courts are now left to decide, hopefully in the Scots' favour.

    • @UkSapyy

Otherwise, I want another Brexit vote and I want the older generation excluded from the vote because those over 40 seem clueless about what is our best national interest.
      It is a fact a lot of us, especially those of us in Northern England are close to Scotland and have heritage and family from Northern Britain. Both English and Scottish nationalism is damaging to the union that both nations have built despite the ignorance of people in our history. How about moving money/investment/development North wards instead of wishing us all into poverty?

    For anyone wondering what that last part was: Australia
    In Australia, political ads have an authorisation. The joke is that it was recently discovered our former PM Scott Morrison (our counterpart to Boris) secretly swore himself into 5 extra ministries to give himself extra powers -- "Minister for everything, everywhere".
    His explanations make it seem like he didn't trust anyone and he basically had a chosen-one complex.
    So now, everyone is taking part in a gag that Scomo has taken or done their job for them, like menial jobs.
    Alas, Scomo used classic manipulation technique of joining in 'self-deprecatingly' in an obvious attempt to distract his own responsibility, and in a similar manner to his other photo-op curry things.
    So yep that's the story, we're lucky in Australia to have finally gotten off after 9 tormented years!

    I've always found the Aussie vids equally funny and depressing but living in the UK this hits even harder. It's like being on the deck of the Titanic watching the captain deliberately smash straight into the iceberg despite being told about it's location for years. • @pleasy13

      I see where you are going with that. 🙂
      The only thing is if the Titanic had smacked straight into the iceberg it might not have sunk as only one or two of the watertight bulkheads would have failed instead of the 5 or so that got damaged as the iceberg scrapped down the side of the ship. Having said that, like theTitanic swerving (and failing) to avoid the iceberg, outcomes with the Tories are worse than doing nothing.

When it started some investigative journalists discovered that the contract to supply coal to the power stations had been given to a hairdresser. Did that fix it? Nope. They also found the coal that they were actually getting to the power stations was for some reason no longer stored under cover but out in the open where it would get rained on. 15 years later and the whole country still endures scheduled blackouts.
