DZOWEY/ADAAKWA GLUTEN FREE SPICY PEANUT BALLS SNACKS

    Dzowey/Adaakwa is a common street snack in Ghana that a lot of people like because of its spicy nature. Please take time and watch this video as you learn how to make dzowey at home. I made this video easy for you as you learn
    INGREDIENTS
    One Cup of corn meal
    1 tbs of powdered ginger
    Half tsp of cloves
    4 tbs of sugar
    3 pieces of grains of selim(hwentia)
    2 pieces of calabash nutmeg
    Half cup of natural peanut butter/ groundnut paste
    1 tbs of peanut oil to mold the paste into balls
    - In a pan you add a cup of corn
    - Toast your corn on low heat constantly stirring until you obtain a light golden color.
    - Remove the toasted corn from the stove and let it cool for some minutes
    - In a food processor, grind roasted corn, dried chili, powdered ginger, sugar, peppercorns ,grains of selim (hwentia),cloves and calabash nutmeg
    - Mix these finely grounded roasted corn flour with peanut butter/paste until you obtain an homogeneous paste.
    - After the contents are thoroughly mixed, the paste is shaped into round balls by hand.
    - And serve as an appetizer, dessert or snack.
