I would add one more timeline which is one from the deleted scenes suggesting Batman retired because he accidentally killed a bad guy in front of his kid, which is why Bruce knew about time travel. It seems he researched it to try and fix that.
I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet, did you guys know there’s actually a 5th timeline other than the Catwoman movie, The Birds of Prey tv show is actually supposed to be in that universe too. In fact this one is interesting because it includes both Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. It doesn’t acknowledge how bad they were but makes reference to some of the villains and Robin. As well as a voice over live action Joker with Mark Hamill voicing him but not playing him.

Michelle Pfeiffer was cast to reprise her role from Batman Returns, Tim Burton became attached as director, and producer Denise Di Novi and writer Daniel Waters also returned. In January 1994, Burton was unsure of his plans to direct Catwoman or an adaptation of "The Fall of the House of Usher". On June 16, 1995, Waters turned in his Catwoman script to Warner Bros., the same day Batman Forever was released. Burton was still being courted to direct. Waters joked that "turning it in the day Batman Forever opened may not have been my best logistical move, in that it's the celebration of the fun-for-the-whole-family Batman. Catwoman is definitely not a fun-for-the-whole-family script". In an August 1995 interview, Pfeiffer reiterated her interest in the spin-off but explained her priorities would be challenged as a mother and commitments to other projects. The film labored in development hell for years with Ashley Judd as the lead in 2001,but she eventually dropped out so Nicole Kidman was considered. When Warner Bros. canceled a Batman vs. Superman film scheduled for 2004, the studio decided to quickly produce Catwoman as replacement, starring Halle Berry. Berry chose to be involved with the film after the cancellation of Jinx, a James Bond spin-off featuring her character Giacinta "Jinx" Johnson from Die Another Day (2002). Josh Lucas was considered for the role of Tom Lone. now about Mark Hamill first off hamill joker is literally loosely based on Nicholson's joker in fact batman tas is inspired by burton's batman which was confirmed by bruce timm the creator of that show. and to go even further it even uses batman '89/returns theme for it's main theme for that show. shit has nothing to do with batman forever and batman and robin which btw came out years later. also to go even harder: Although none of the identities revealed in the comics for the The Joker ever gave him a full name, "Jack Napier" was used in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman and later utilized in the DCAU as well. In Dreams in Darkness, Dr. Bartholomew refers to him by that name, and in Joker's Wild, his name can be seen in a file about him. Either they or the Joker himself could have altered his file to show that he had operated under a variety of aliases. It is also possible that the Joker did indeed use a number of aliases, and that Jack Napier is simply his most commonly agreed-upon name. (from batman tas). and on top of that it was later confirmed joker's identity to be jack Napier when he used that persona in the batman: white knight comic books.
@@Oldschool1943 DC actually gave joker a name very recently after working with the musician Jack White. They canonically gave him the name Jack Oswald White.
@@Oldschool1943 So 'Catwoman' went from Michelle Pfeiffer's return in the role to... a James Bond femme fatale spin-off? That's actually pretty interesting.
@@_sayandas Kevin did do Batman in Live Action during CW’s crisis event so it’s an actor/actor. But Kevin does outdo every other LA Batman due to how he separates Batman and Bruce Wayne and how he effortlessly changes between the two and he talked perfectly as Batman. Affleck felt more or less the same when Bruce or Bats but had a great voice modulator. Pattinson didn’t have the same quality in voice and didn’t really embody the Bruce Wayne of the comics. Bale was also mumbling too much in order to be fully appreciated, Keaton did a good job trying to separate the Bruce/Batman persona but he was more weird than charismatic as Bruce. And Adam West is simply iconic but acted the same when Batman as when he was Bruce. It’s not often voice actors get compared with actors but when the voice actor is as good as Kevin was you can’t deny it
Another honorable mention should be the Bruce Thomas played six Batman OnStar commercials airing from 2000 to 2002. 'Course those contained a vastly different Penguin, Joker, and Riddler which seem closer to the Adam West era (except Joker's face). Tho played by a yet again different actor, both Keaton's and Clooney's suits were used as well as the Keaton Batmobile installed with a handy OnStar button. They also featured the same Alfred (who actually continued to voice him in two radio dramas) and a recasted Vicki Vale played by a Baywatch actress. Apparently there was a two issue tie-in comic too. My favorite is the sixth commercial where Riddler shows up. They're all really short though.
I loved seeing Michael Keaton's Batman come back in the Batman 89 comic and the Flash. Great video and I remember in third grade my teacher gave me a newspaper article saying how it's about the third movie and I was stoked. I remember when I opened it up and because of the title Keaton quits Batman, my smile went to the biggest frown instantly and when I read what some of the stuff, the actors, and the characters that were going to be in Burton's third and final film and all of what was to become of it, I was super disappointed and upset that I didn't talk to anybody for the rest day, I didn't eat anything, I didn't do any of my classwork, I didn't participate in any class activities, and didn't go outside during any of the recesses. When they decided recently to retcon the Schumacher movies, and continue with the Burton universe with Batman 89 and the Flash until it got altered again at the end with Clooney lol, I was truly satisfied. I love how the 89 book looks almost like a storyboard, great character/ actor likenesses, and the settings / environment / scenery looks a lot like the 1989 movie with some Returns in there and being written by Sam Hamm in my opinion, excellent. Bat Keaton is alive and well back in his fully restored Tim Burton universe.
There really aren't words to describe how much I love Keaton's Batman. The Burton movies are truly magnificent, it's all centered on Keaton's performance. Though I will admit I would have loved to seen Kilmer get a better script. I think he could have challenged for the best batman
Fun fact: The REAL reason Batman retired in The Flash, is Batman accidentally killed a criminal in front of a kid. Traumatizing the child and making the kid afraid of Batman. Which is the complete opposite of what Bruce was intending to do with his persona. So this caused Bruce to stop being Batman entirely.
Its pretty simple Burtonverse which includes Batman 1989 and Batman Returns Joel Schumacher verse The Flash version The original Keaton Batman is still alive and well and married to Catwoman,we even saw Comic Batman meet him recently
One could also argue that "Batman: The Animate Series" was a de facto sequel to "Batman" (1989) and "Batman Returns." Not only do they use the Danny Elfman score from those films (over the end credits at least), but The Joker is identified as "Jack Napier" in one episode (a name which originated with the '89 film). Not to mention the look of The Penguin was at least partly inspired by DeVito's take on the character (the longer hair and the webbed hands).
Weird timeline indeed. Cause at the time, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin were intended to be sequels. Then for the Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover on The CW, they said that it was 2 separate continuities. Burton happened on Earth 89 which we saw in that. We see Knox. And Schumacher happened on Earth 97. Why is it Earth 97 and not Earth 95, who knows. But we got the comic book that confirmed that is a different continuity. And now with The Flash people say is the same version. Even though is not Earth 89. Is a different timeline and he looks like Keaton instead of looking like Affleck. I honestly think that he isn't. He's a variant. Is a similar version. And the problem with the comic is that Burton had nothing to do with that. Is the same writer of the first 2 films but supposedly his drafts were rewritten. So is hard to know what Burton's third film would've been like. Unless WB approaches him to maybe do an animated sequel. And there's also Catwoman that started as a Batman Returns spin-off but then it changed. And I believe the same thing happened with the Birds of Prey tv series on The WB.
I’d say there are some more debatable continuities that can also be connected to the 89 films. Birds of prey the tv series used clips of batman returns in ads. In the 2004 Catwoman movie there is a photo of Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman
You completely forgot about the canceled batgirl movie with Michael Keaton, which will inevitably be either released or leaked. It could take place at the end of several timelines. Also The Animated Series was a continuation of the Burtonverse, as it features a Two Face modeled after Billy Dee Williams, except that it retcons Joker and Penguin dying. Batman and Supergirl kept dying in the Flash, but when Flash gave up and went to reset the past so his mom dies, their deaths were reset too, so they really didn’t die.
@@gbrogo7139look dude usually I don't like changes too but I don't think anyone's thinking that with Billy Dee. Burton wanted him in the role back then, back when it was organic and not forced by the higher ups. So in my book, that's alright. I think he would've done something interesting with his take
@@MikeSandersonVideos that comment I left was a response to OP. I am pro Billy Dee Two face, and can't stand the Shumaucher whitewashing, which is why i only consider the 89 comics canon
Batman Forever was so dope when I was a kid, and so was Batman & Robin. They made me buy so many toys that I still have to this day. However, watching them now Batman & Robin is terrible, but Batman Forever still has a special place in my heart.
Important to note that the Batman Returns suit does appear in The Flash so it's definitely canon to the alt timeline. It's also worth noting that another branch timeline of the Keaton films appeared for a few seconds in The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths. The only thing we know about it is that Alexander Knox from the 1989 film is still around and the Bat Symbol changed. Behind the scenes photos showed that Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle married after the events of Batman Returns and Derek Powers from Batman Begins is on the universe too. EDIT: Batman Beyond not Begins FFS, I've had too much alcohol and not enough sleep today
And the newspaper in the show itself bafflingly says that Batman has foiled a new Joker crime. How that works with '89's ending, your guess is as good as mine.
I remember seeing the 2 Keaton movies when they premiered; even though I went in half-hearted, since he looked "too different" from MY Batman (the Bronze Age, acrobatic detective in blue and gray tights) within minutes of the first movie he won me over and kept me a fan to this day. When Kilmer and Clooney's Batman movies came out it was so disheartnening; far worse than if no new Batman movies had come out. Who'd have thought we'd ever get to see him again? And done ( at least on Keaton's part) well and in character to his earlier movies. Cool video premise. Hopefully we will get one more timeline, a Keaton-centric Batman movie done well.
You forgot Earth-89 of the CW TV multiverse, which, while supposedly being the world of the Tim Burton films, shows a newspaper article about Batman 'catching' the Joker. The Joker died in the first film though, so this cannot have happened in the same continuity, and therefore must be an alternate timeline in which the events of the first film turned out differently.
There is variants of him in Birds of Prey 2002. His Batmobile is in Clark and Lois, so he exists in that universe. The OnStar Commercials. Earth 89 in the Arrow Multiverse.
Also catwoman 2004 mentions catwoman from batman returns. Otherwise your comment and my reply have brought up the rest of the other burton-Verses missed in this video.
I've been a fan of the Arkham series since it came out. I just now watched the Michael Keaton movies. I forgot these tracks were in Arkham Knight. Now I'm finna go see what the 89 Joker track looks like. I'll update to let y'all know if I enjoy it.
I'm probably going to get some shit for this, but I actually love Batman Forever. There's so much I like about it, such as it's story of the struggles of what it's like for Bruce to be both Bruce Wayne and Batman, and deal with the problems he faces as each. I also love Tommy Lee Jones Two-Face, Jones doesn't half-ass his roles, and this was no exception. Two-Face is my favorite Batman villain, and he was just so much fun to watch in the movie. I kinda ignore Batman and Robin and partly go along with "The Batman Trilogy" continuity as some call it, consisting of Batman, Batman Returns, & Batman Forever.
I certainly prefer the first two, but I still proudly own an original VHS copy of Batman Forever along with a little stand figurine that came from somewhere who knows. Maybe it's a complete hot take but arguably my favorite Bat suit period is the second Batman Forever suit (the one without the nipples). It's the same suit, tho recolored, as Clooney's ice suit - I like that one too. Maybe a cross between the two of them would be my all-time favorite, who knows.
I pretty much do the same, though if the extended "Schumacher Cut" of Batman Forever ever sees an official release I think it would take the place of the movie's theatrical cut for me. Batman Forever was actually the first of the live-action films I ever saw so I will always have a soft spot for it, but regardless of if you can even count it as being part of the same universe as Tim Burton's movies they're still my favorite Batman movies to go back to overall for the kind of style that Burton initially brought to the character that kind of got more lost in the reboots since then with their greater emphasis on realism.
I can see enjoying Carrey Riddler, he at least has some entertaining moments, I thought Jones Two-Face was terrible, very annoying, although partly because I like Riddler but love Two-Face from the comics and TAS.
You forgot the show Birds of Prey which also appeared in cw's arrowheads crisis on infinite earths. In the first episode of birds of prey a news paper talks about Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle and the picture of Bruce Wayne is Micheal Keaton. So u can say this is a branch timeline or a parallel earth were things worked out between the two and they had a daughter which was huntress and tge main character of that series. Oddly, earth-89 appeared in the cw arrowverse with Alexander knox and the bat signal in the air so u can say batman, batman returns, then the arrow verse infinite crisis reset, the 89 comic and then the flash movie where we get the timeline reset. Long story short u can add those tge bird of prey and the arrow verse cameo on that list as well.
1:58 , i absolutely agree, its like the perfect batman movie, the aesthetic, the casting, the music the story, everything💅💅✨🖤, its at the top of my batman movie list ranking
this might not really fit in this timeline sense the Burtonverse’s Batman doesn’t himself appear, but the Burtonverse is also briefly visited at the beginning of the CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event. Alexander Knox (played by returning Batman ‘89 actor Robert Wuhl) is seen reading a newspaper report on Batman.
I'll admit that I was nooooooooot sober when I saw The Flash, but I thought it was a sequel to the Burton films outright. A lot can change between 1992 and 2013.
Great video bro, I thought i'd make a video about the chronology of Keaton's Batman too but including even more spin-offs of this version of Batman and i must say your video is pretty good
Batman Forever was pretty embraced, it did get some criticism but it was pretty liked by general viewers accepting or liking its lighter tone (although yes after B&R its image did decline) and while some comics fans did like the Burton films many also, the more comic purists fans, declared that all the live action movies were pretty bad (except maybe the first OK).
As a kid I always looked at batman forever and batman and robin as it's own different movies and never saw it as a continuation of batman 1989 and batman returns
I’d like to think that Batman & Robin exists in a branched timeline from Batman Forever thus in a way canonizes the 3 Batmen in the original quadrilogy
I always thought it was pretty simple. Batman, Returns, 89 comic, Flash. The only bit I was unsure about was whether the 89 comic worked with The Flash.
You forgot about Batman the Animated Series (before it spawned a shared universe and became it's own thing) the 2003 Birds of Prey show and the Catwoman movie those were alternate timelines for Michael Keaton's Batman
If WB wants to make a ton of money 1.Make an 3d animated Batman film for Michael keaton's Batman without using a Maltiverse 2 .Do that same thing but pay resl writers and Actor's instead of A.I, Boom just saved Hollywood 😅
Tyler, that is undoubtedly some wild and thought-out coverage regarding the Burtonverse Batman. Regarding the version who appears in The Flash, that's technically meant to be the same incarnation, but from a somewhat different timeline. And I've played LEGO Batman, the first game was good.
I heard Batman in The Flash quit because he killed a criminal infront of his child which made Bruce feel like he was know better than Jack which caused him to quit.
There's currently 3 versions of Burtonverse Batman Version 1 also known as Earth-89 Batman (1989) ~ Batman Returns ~ Batman Forever ~ Batman and Robin Version 2 or Earth-789 which is also connected to the Superman 78 comic series which is a continuation of the Donnerverse Superman 1 and 2 films. Batman (1989) ~ Batman Returns ~ Batman 89 comic. Version 3 which is the one presented in The Flash Batman (1989) ~ Batman Returns ~ The Flash
"~ Batman Forever ~ Batman and Robin" wrong and it's already been debunked Schumacher verse is earth 97 and earth 96 for batman forever and batman and robin and according to wiki it's an alternate universe not same timeline
also, wrong again the flash is an alternate universe in flashpoint this is not batman from batman returns this is a variant of keaton's batman from burton verse but he's set in a alternate reality in Synder verse. u because u don't pay attention details and don't do research keaton in the movie literally explain this. also nothing was really explored and explain that much about this version of flashpoint keaton batman and no it does not make any reference to any of the previous batman movies and comics so again that was a flat out lie and a terrible theory that u try to pass off as fact. keaton was in the movie for 20 mins and it barely even explored anything about this version of his batman.
@@Oldschool1943 ??? Where the hell did you get those Earth designations from lol. Batman Forever is literally confirmed to be a follow up to Batman Returns, and Batman & Robin being the sequel.
@@Oldschool1943 You can't read, he's a divergent version of Burtonverse Batman who went through the Batman 89 and Batman Returns movies. And it does make references, it LITERALLY references the Joker's death in 89 Movie with the laughing pouch Joker had when he died. Stop it, think before you talk.
Ive always noticed that in 90s/80s movies theres always parents complaining " ITS TOO MATURE MAKE IT MORE KIDFRIENDLY " thing happened with the joel schumacher films and tmnt and they just get more childish in every sequel
I think it would be better if the flash branched off from 89 or even in its own corner like lego Batman, sure the flash included the Batman returns suit but has no real mention of the penguin, catwoman, max shrek, or anything taking place in returns. Also Wayne manor, the gate is the same, the mansion is different, and the interior is slightly different, same with the bat cave.
@TylerBlyer what about the Fan scription of Michael Keaton's Batman 3 and Batman 4 from channel awesome? That could be a possible branch and continuation
I highly consider Batman,Batman Returns,Batman Forever and Batman & Robin as a whole Batman Tetralogy amd i also deep fake Michael Keaton also doing Batman Forever and Batman & Robin along with Birds of Prey Tv Show taking place 14 years after Batman & Robin and two years before The Flash which i also call it Batkeaton Extended Universe and George Clooney appearing at the end of The Flash is the older version of Ben Affleck's Batman.
The fact is that Batman Returns underperformed at the box office, which led to a change in style and the production of Batman Forever. Batman Forever indeed performed well at the box office, and it received generally positive reviews at the time. I don't understand why some people nowadays often claim that Batman Forever is very poor.
It’s just not that good , I will say there are certain good aspects like the soundtrack, I liked the casting despite what I say in the video, I thought the take on Gotham city was not bad and fit the universe. I just think it’s poorly written , and it did well because of the HUGE marketing and merchandise, I was mistaken to say in the video it was received as poorly at the time.
I can’t reconcile Clooney, Kilmer, and Keaton as being the same continuity. I see them as the Burton verse, and Schumacher verse. And I’m gonna do an even hotter take than yours. I actually love Batman&Robin, and if you watch it as like a live action version of a kids cartoon, or as an homage to the 1960s tv series, it works. And while I do still like Batman returns I have to say that Matt Reeves, The Batman is my favorite depiction of both Batman and Gotham.
@@TylerByler i wouldn’t say it’s so bad it’s good, it just doesn’t take itself seriously, I’ve heard that before each take Joel Schumacher would shout into a bull horn “remember everyone, it’s a cartoon”, and that vibe really comes across. As an adult that still regularly watches classic cartoons, I think that’s why I love it.
They really managed to make this universe a true cluster mind mess. It was originally just a Burton story, then a Schumacker story, then back to Burton but in LEGO game and comic form, and now a DCEU story. In my opinion, Michael Keaton Batman would be the best if set in the same universe as Christopher Reeve Superman, as well as Linda Carter Wonder Woman. They formed the Justice League with their own Barry Allen as Flash, Arthur Curry as Aquaman and Hal Jordan as Green Lantern. They could have Superman have died by the hands of Doomsday, to match the actor's sad demise and retire the Justice League members, maybe leaving Supergirl to be the new leader, and I mean the original blonde Supergirl from the old movie, not the new brunette one from 'The Flash'. It would be awesome to have a final Tim Burton Batman movie showing this retired Bruce, living with Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman, and training Robin on his last nights as the dark knight.
They should've separate Batman Forever from the first Batman movies because honestly feels weird that movie was a sequel i know is non canon to the Batman Burton universe but again Warner wanted to force that.
batman forever is not a sequel to burton batman it's not even in the same continuity and not canon to burton batman it's a alternate timeline set in earth 97
@@Oldschool1943 first of all is a sequel to Batman Return i said is a sequel but in another universe and not in the canon universe can you read or you are blind ?

There’s another thing you missed. In the cancelled Batgirl movie, Keaton was gonna be Batman in it because the original ending for the Flash was gonna keep him as the new DCEU Batman. One of the leaked set photos for the film was of a weathered graffiti of Batman and Robin; but Robin was white, unlike the one from the Batman ‘89 comic, who I also should point out was named Drake Winston. Rumor was that the Robin in the graffiti was gonna be Dick Grayson and he was gonna have a cameo as Nightwing. So either the Batman ‘89 comic wasn’t canon to the Flash movie, Drake Winston left and Dick took over as Robin after him, or the plan was that Barry was gonna alter history again so that Dick was the first Robin instead of Drake. Either way. You could probably could’ve added the Batgirl movie to your list if the movie had been released.
The Marlon Wayans / Drake Winston Robin from Batman 89 / Batman 3 comic isn't canon to the Flash. The timeline that eventually ends up being the Flash happens sometime after Batman Returns and before the 89 book which causes that comic to be non-existent. That's why I think in that timeline Harvey didn't end up being two-face and helped cause Gotham to be cleaned up. The 89 book obviously only happens in the pure Tim Burton universe which obviously the Flash timeline doesn't exist. That's why when the Flash mostly reset things at the end, Keaton became alive and well and fully restored back in his full Burton universe.
They probably would have tried to put kilmer in there but he probably didn't want to be. He's so old now. Think he has to use one of those voice things to talk
Michael Keaton have just the two movies and comics and references like in the crise on inifinity earth, but George Cloney and Val Kilmer are differents Batmans from another universes
Mr. Freeze was not created just to be your typical purely evil villain; he is the first villain to have the potential for a character redemption arc; that is the same reason they add in Deadshot to the DC universe because he too has the potential to redeem himself. I am talking about the DC universe in general in 'THIS' reply.
Awesome vlog man, I subbed you! Batman Forever was the first Batman movie I seen in the cinema, I was six and I still love it. The Flash is fun, I seen it twice in the cinema.
Honestly if we’re not gonna get a proper solo movie return for Micheal keaton then atleast have someone make a animated film adaptation of Batman 89 comic run giving people finally the chance to complete the real trilogy
Most Keaton Bat fans don't count Batman Forever/Batman & Robin as part of Keaton's Batman Canon, yes Ik the films were supposed to be canon but I don't consider them canon since the main men Burton and Keaton buggered off.
you can also include the Arrowverse since its A: connected to The Flash movie & B: directly shows this batman's earth. BUT it makes things even MORE confusing, because you see a newspaper that says batman captured joker... CAPTURED? joker died, he didnt get captured lol.
8:08 onetime I wrote my own script for a third Tim burton/Michael Keaton Batman movie, I heard it was going to be called Batman continues, and I took some inspiration from the ideas they were going to do.
Batman 89 comic feels weird because they have like not continuity to the story like it felt bland like ok i agree with Batman Forever and Batman and Robin not being canon taking in another timeline but common we need it more.
the less the better and Schumacher's batman needs to be forgotten it's garbage and it put batman back into cape crusader era when burton was trying to get batman and superheroes to be taken seriously.

Joel Schumacher did better job in Batman Forever. I hope they do another comic following this events and make it better.
Batman 89 was the first superhero story, Batman story, comic book, and the only story in general that caused me to fight back tears in a good way as it was wrapping up. I understand and respect that everybody has different opinions, but this was definitely the final Burton story that I needed and I'm very satisfied. I can go on and on about why I'm satisfied, but as a fan of the Keaton Burton Batman films, I'm very pleased.
To me we should stop seeing forever 89 as a separate universe it’s the same that lead to batman and robin. Back in the days there wasn’t stupid Multiverse so it’s the same Bruce since 89. And Kilmer can’t be batman anymore cause you know he is kinda sick
Clearly something happened in the end of the middle of the flashpoint events that sort of skipped over the Batman Forever chain of events. On the other hand; the Val Kilmer Batman was supposed to be more the same batman as the George Clooney Batman than the first flashpoint altered Batman that turned out to be the Michael Keaton Batman.
I think Batman Forever works perfectly fine. It's very different to the previous two movies but I think it treats Batman better as a character and Val Kilmer is great I would have loved to see more Val Kilmer Batman movies
I think it's likely a third Burton movie would not have had, brought back Two-Face/Billy Dee Williams, him not bringing back Dent/Williams in BR at all suggests he had pretty much lost interest in the character.
Guys I’m sorry for the muted segments, I know they’re out of place but they were done for copyright reasons I hope you all understand🙏
I would add one more timeline which is one from the deleted scenes suggesting Batman retired because he accidentally killed a bad guy in front of his kid, which is why Bruce knew about time travel. It seems he researched it to try and fix that.

Development
With Warner Bros. developing Batman Forever in June 1993, a Catwoman spin-off film was announced.

So 'Catwoman' went from Michelle Pfeiffer's return in the role to... a James Bond femme fatale spin-off? That's actually pretty interesting.
Kevin Conroy is THE Batman but Keaton set a gold standard that many actors have tried to come close to
Don't know why people bring in voice actors in a debate of actors. It's like comparing instagram reel to a movie
It’s not often voice actors get compared with actors but when the voice actor is as good as Kevin was you can’t deny it
@@lucasbjorckvinje5283yea but that live action adaptation was kinda wack and didn’t do Kevin justice

Actually it's Kilmer's Sonar suit not Clooney's. And the same Commissioner Gordon either appears or is referenced.
We must have Michael Keaton as batman beyond in a live action movie
You forgot the Batman Onstar commercials and the Robert Wuhl cameo in Crisis on Infinite Earths.
You’re right about the cameo but I thought about the onstar commercials and there’s nowhere they could fit so I’ll just say they’re on their own
Its pretty simple
Burtonverse which includes Batman 1989 and Batman Returns
Joel Schumacher verse
The Flash version
The original Keaton Batman is still alive and well and married to Catwoman,we even saw Comic Batman meet him recently
There are obviously influences but Selina Kyle and the Penguin are definitely different, inconsistent version of the characters.
Michael Keaton will always be one of the best versions of Batman. 🦇
dam straight michael Keaton batman is GOD teir in my opinion
Batman forever and Batman & robin are the same universe but not really much in those two to be connected to 89&returns
@@Bat-talkso they're not the same universe is essentially what you've just said.
The two face isn't Billy Dee. He is white, and has no facial hair
I'm pretty sure the Batgirl footage got deleted before the people that worked on the film could retrieve it
@@gbrogo7139look dude usually I don't like changes too but I don't think anyone's thinking that with Billy Dee.

Totally agree
I loved BF as a kid, still like it as an OK/guilty pleasure, never got into B&R.
Kilmer is underated i really liked him actually idk its something about his look in the suit but he looks good imo
I just like how keaton's timeline is where barry's mother didn't die, makes you wonder events can happen in different timelines
Finally, someone who thinks Batman Returns is the best Batman movie, too!

Also catwoman 2004 mentions catwoman from batman returns. Otherwise your comment and my reply have brought up the rest of the other burton-Verses missed in this video.
I like to look at it this way, Kilmer and Clooney are variants of Keaton.
Especially there’s already one two face in Batman 89 the comic
I like Batman Forever, too. It’s fun.

Clooney showed up because kilmers heath issues same reason Kilmer hasn’t came back for a lot of his former roles
this might not really fit in this timeline sense the Burtonverse’s Batman doesn’t himself appear, but the Burtonverse is also briefly visited at the beginning of the CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event. Alexander Knox (played by returning Batman ‘89 actor Robert Wuhl) is seen reading a newspaper report on Batman.
Is that the newspaper that says Bruce and Selina married
I'll admit that I was nooooooooot sober when I saw The Flash, but I thought it was a sequel to the Burton films outright. A lot can change between 1992 and 2013.
the best Gotham is Arkhamverse IMO it really drives home the idea of an alternate universe New York city.

I agree with everything you're saying about Batman Forever, but it made more money than Batman Returns.
Pray for a Batman Beyond movie starring Michael Keaton. 🙏🏼
The Michael Keaton Batman universe is so good.
I heard Batman in The Flash quit because he killed a criminal infront of his child which made Bruce feel like he was know better than Jack which caused him to quit.
The Lego Batman Movie features Billy Dee Williams as the voice of Two-Face.
Actually Batkeaton has a separate timeline from both the Clooneyverse and Lego Verse. Read the comic 'Batman '89'.
Hey bro , watch the video I explain it 🥸
There's currently 3 versions of Burtonverse Batman
Version 1 also known as Earth-89
Batman (1989) ~ Batman Returns ~ Batman Forever ~ Batman and Robin
Version 2 or Earth-789 which is also connected to the Superman 78 comic series which is a continuation of the Donnerverse Superman 1 and 2 films.
Batman (1989) ~ Batman Returns ~ Batman 89 comic. Version 3 which is the one presented in The Flash
Batman (1989) ~ Batman Returns ~ The Flash
I didn’t even know about their being a comic connecting those two versions of the characters. I’ll have to check it out
"~ Batman Forever ~ Batman and Robin" wrong and it's already been debunked Schumacher verse is earth 97 and earth 96 for batman forever and batman and robin and according to wiki it's an alternate universe not same timeline
also, wrong again the flash is an alternate universe in flashpoint this is not batman from batman returns this is a variant of keaton's batman from burton verse but he's set in a alternate reality in Synder verse. u because u don't pay attention details and don't do research keaton in the movie literally explain this. also nothing was really explored and explain that much about this version of flashpoint keaton batman and no it does not make any reference to any of the previous batman movies and comics so again that was a flat out lie and a terrible theory that u try to pass off as fact. keaton was in the movie for 20 mins and it barely even explored anything about this version of his batman.

I like Batman and robin BECAUSE of its silliness. It’s one of those “it’s so bad it’s good” kinda movies
@@TylerByler i wouldn’t say it’s so bad it’s good, it just doesn’t take itself seriously, I’ve heard that before each take Joel Schumacher would shout into a bull horn “remember everyone, it’s a cartoon”, and that vibe really comes across. The Batman is goated af
That sounds terrible considering most of those shows and movie were mediocre to bad.

You forgot about Batgirl. In another time line Keaton replaced Clooney at the end of The Flash and he was going to show up in Batgirl.

Most Keaton Bat fans don't count Batman Forever/Batman & Robin as part of Keaton's Batman Canon, yes Ik the films were supposed to be canon but I don't consider them canon since the main men Burton and Keaton buggered off.
The animated series is technically a continuation of the Burton films.
How? The Joker and The Penguin was dead
you can also include the Arrowverse since its A: connected to The Flash movie & B: directly shows this batman's earth. BUT it makes things even MORE confusing, because you see a newspaper that says batman captured joker... CAPTURED? joker died, he didnt get captured lol.

They only called Clooney in because kilmer is outta shape
