This came out when I was 13. Still my favorite song. Met him at 15 & he was so kind. I still have my personalized autographed picture of him. He wrote and performed some amazing, fun songs! "Sweet Life" is the sweetest song.
There was a wonderful era in music known as the singer/songwriter era…. It didn’t matter if you were good looking, ugly, fat, thin long haired or whatever,if you could sing the songs you wrote & were talented you could make it… Jim Croce,Bob Dylan,John Denver,James Taylor,Carole King,Seales & Croft,Dan Folgerberg, etc…there are still singer/singwriters,but these artists were the start
Good to have you back. I loved, loved, loved this song when it came out (still do). At the time I was a Purchasing Secretary working in the front office of a company that made automotive testing eqipment. My best friend also worked there in the parts department office which was back in the plant part of the building so they were able to have a radio playing. I called her about something and as we were about to hang up I could hear this song start playing over the phone. She layed the receiver next to the radio so I could listen to it and hung up when it was over. That memory always comes back to me when I hear this song since she and I had a falling out many years ago and are not friends anymore.
I was in 7th grade. But this song was one of the slowest climbing songs in the Top 40 ever. There are a couple songs that took 18 weeks to reach #1 Please don't go KC & the Sunshine Band and Do it to me one more time Captain & Tennille. I go crazy peaked at #7 I think. I'm not sure. But it took about 18 weeks to get there.
Glad to see you back! Hope all is well in H-Town! Everyone can relate to this song, even if you don't have someone you feel that way about. And I mean let's be real... even if I broke up with a guy, I'd still want him to feel that way regardless of whether I wanted him back or not. lol.

"Sweet Life" is the sweetest song.
Two other top notch Paul Davis hit songs are "Cool Night" and "Sweet Life".
Also 65 Love Affair and Ride Em Cowboy
Another incredible singer songwriter.

R.I.P. Paul Davis!❤
Rekindling an old relationship is like re-lighting an outed cigarette. It doesn't taste the same.
Always loved this song. There's just something about it that hits me deep.
HUGE Radio HIT. A Soft Rock Classic. Nice choice.
65 Love Affair, Cool Night and Sweet Life are other good ones from him.

What a voice
65 Love Affair is Paul's other hit. It's more up tempo. I like it a little better but cynics may call it Yacht Rock.
Oh God please don't call it that.....I hate the term 😢
