I like the dialogue between Darth Sidious and Count Dooku. Both express there personalities really well. Its interesting how they have opposite views on the two main characters of the prequel trilogy. Dooku wants to spare Kenobi and sees Skywalker as nothing more than a juvenile delinquent who is better off dead. While Sidious wants the opposite. They are practically arguing in the most polite manner possible.

You can sort of sense the undercurrent of just how much Sidious finds Dooku’s aristocratic snobbery and bigotry annoying. It makes sense considering how Palpatine came from a far less wealthier and influential family on Naboo. Nice minor detail on how someone like Palpatine would hold resentment towards Dooku

I keep thinking that he was not always like this, and that his mindset was slowly made this way by embracing the Dark Side and its philosophies. I think Grievous would've tried executing Dooku. In the Son of Dathomir, Grievous says that he would've been disappointed if he had to face against Dooku if the latter had joined Maul before Maul took Dooku to meet Mother Talzin.

It does fit with his character. At this point it has been three years into the Clone Wars and even more since Dooku's turn to the dark side, and human supremacy is widespread in the SW universe - if you look at the treatment of droids, or non-human species they aren't as privileged as humans from Coruscant, Alderaan etc. are.

@@nerdomatic2489he spent his formative years a great majority of his life as a Jedi though. Trained by a very non human like alien. True, Dooku has fallen so far to the darkside that the worst of his traits would become all but enflamed, but it's curious to think where he would've learned to be anti alien or cyborg in the first place. It didn't seem to bother him as a Jedi, and he already had strong convictions so it seems out of left field to start becoming racist in his golden years.

He leads the Separatists who were primarily non human and was popular amongst them for calling out The Republic's discrimination against the Outer Rim. Also the Sith originated as an alien non human cult and he calls himself one.

Dooku's whole thing is that he had the public persona as a political idealist while being a scheming Sith lord the whole time. A lesser version of Palpatine. Sure he did believe in positive change for the Republic but that was before he fell to the dark side. Its only natural that his fall would lead to his ideals being corrupted and perverted into what he envisons before his death.
Believing that he was just misguided or deceived by Palpatine while still having the best intentions is literally buying into his in universe propaganda and lies

And that whole Windu vs. Palpatine thing is bullshit anyway, not only was it pretty obvious in the movie, but the book explicitly tells us that he threw the fight once he sensed Anakin being nearby.
