"The Jedi are your family..." He has already disconnected himself from the Jedi. He has already passed the point of being willing to kill them should they conflict with his interests. Palpatine dubbing him Darth Vader was merely a formality... He has already considered asking Sidious for the power to save Padme... And he hasn't even learned he and Palpatine are the same man lol.
Anakin never felt welcomed among the Jedi, they couldn’t understand him due to their different upbringings, and he didn’t understand them either. I’m fact Anakin was miserable at the Jedi temple, the only solace he found was fixing droids and various machines. Qui Gon was the only Jedi who believed in Anakin, who showed him compassion and understanding, something the other Jedi rarely ever did. All the Jedi council saw was the worst in Anakin instead of focusing more on the good in him.
@@jmwilliamsartlike in scream 6 they world sees the worst in people instead of the best, plus Jedi where afraid and hated Anakin because he was the chosen one most powerful being
@@jmwilliamsart Yes although if they treated him well it would be way harder to write where he turns on them and they were not foolish. Probably the saddest irony is Mace Windu despite being the best fit for Anakin (at least in pre TCW EU) would have been the next best teacher after Quigon died. Yet he personally hated or at least distrusted him the most

@@buntsbooks Could you post the sequence from the Darth Plagueis novel where he's explaining the Force and Force lightning to Sidious? Its the the part where he says,"Ashla is a perversion". I love a Darth Plagueis sermon.
More of that conversation should have been in the movie. Honestly by today's standards, Revenge of the Sith deserved to be in 2 parts so more could be put in. Oh and Obi-Wan saying that the counsel doesn't operate that way then saying oh but we want you to spy and it isn't to be on the record is a bit backhanded. He should've said the counsel doesn't normally operate that way but desperate times call for desperate measures. Also I mentioned it a while ago but have you had the cance to watch Fantasy Folklore's What if Darth Plagueis killed Darth Sidious. It is awesome.
This is why the novelization is 100x better than the movie. Don’t get me wrong, the movie is a masterpiece but the dialogue and explanation in the book makes everything make sense. It just shows the difference in how Obi-Wan handled things much differently than Qui-Gon would’ve. Remember, Qui-Gon wasn’t on the council for a reason: because he knew the Jedi became corrupt because they started following the will of the Senate instead of following the will of the Force. Qui-Gon would’ve assured Anakin that there was nothing to be afraid of and he would’ve shown Anakin how Palpatine was manipulating his mind in order to turn him against the Jedi only to do his dirty work.
The novel literally makes everything make perfect sense.

Fear is such a strong, terrible motivator...😢

God I wish this dialogue was in the movie
This book would be enough for 2 movies.
