Extended Play used to do in depth reviews, studio tours and show early access videos. When they switched to X-Play, you got one or two quick (usually incorrect) reviews, then 15 minutes of the most embarrassingly cringe skits ever made.
The most impressive aspect about the entire G4TV trilogy is that in the time from Frosk's rant about sexism in gaming to now, I've moved to a new state, got a new job, and visited Puerto Rico for the first time. It's a true testament to using your time effectively. You can either blow money going to California and ruining G4 with woke BS, or you can move on with your life and laugh as the circus freak bus passes you while on fire.

I used to have such fond memories of (mostly techtv) g4tv, and I spent years scouring the internet for old vhs recordings of old g4 and techtv episodes. My collection of thousands of hours of g4/techtv used to be one of my most prized collections, but after the debacle of the relaunch it soured me on the project. A few weeks ago I needed to free up space on my NAS and I just deleted the entire collection. I didn't think twice about it and I don't feel remorseful over the loss. Congratulations to everyone involved, you made me hate something that I used to love. I'm sure that was your intention from the start.

I only remember it well because a little after that I watched a bit of the G4 version but then I decided to finally cut the cable cord once and for all. Got my entertainment from non-stop gaming on my time off and getting my tech info from online. That's why Tech TV is still fresh in my memory it hadn't been overwritten with the G4 version.
It's sad to see the things you loved long ago resurrected into something that hates you. Really shows how long ago 2005 was. I'm glad this is the only real exposure to nu-G4 I've had. It can't get rid of my memories of watching game trailers for Half Life 2 on beautiful summer days I should have spent outside or my buddies and I trying to genuinely train for Ninja Warrior.

G4TV will continue to fade into obscurity. They made terrible decisions and continued to double down on how they handled their business. Frosk was just one of many reasons to not support them.

It was actually better before the G4 network acquired/merged Tech TV in 2004. That's when the decline started. I drifted away from it in 2005.

@@djtoxicdhg Yeah it's a bit ancient history now. From late 90s to 2004 when G4 absorbed them. I only remember it well because a little after that I watched a bit of the G4 version but then I decided to finally cut the cable cord once and for all. Got my entertainment from non-stop gaming on my time off and getting my tech info from online. That's why Tech TV is still fresh in my memory it hadn't been overwritten with the G4 version.
It's sad to see the things you loved long ago resurrected into something that hates you. Really shows how long ago 2005 was. I'm glad this is the only real exposure to nu-G4 I've had. It can't get rid of my memories of watching game trailers for Half Life 2 on beautiful summer days I should have spent outside or my buddies and I trying to genuinely train for Ninja Warrior.
