@@michielayers3692 Phil's last real job (possibly his only real job) was with his dad many years ago. His dad's friend got Phil and his dad jobs at the helicopter company. After a couple years, the dad's friend left the company (retired, quit, fired, we don't know), and the moment that guy was gone, both Phil & his dad were let go. If someone doesn't do it for him, it wont happen. Someone would have to find Phil a job AND ensure that Phil wouldn't be allowed to do anything critical, important, or worthwhile AND ensure that Phil would never, ever be fired. So it would take the owner of a company to hire Phil, stick him in a corner somewhere doing something a chimp could do, and just ignore him and tell the other employees to ignore him too.

The primary problem with DSP is that he doesn't know how to laugh at himself, or just learn how to own his mistakes and lean into it.

He’s literally an Andy Kaufman level genius. He is the Mr Bean of streaming purely by design and it’s reinforced his staying power to such a degree that he found a loophole in death. He has become infinity itself.
Somewhere in an alternate dimension, Wings DSP and Boogie learned from each other's mistakes while doing the podcast and all became tolerable humans.

I work 40 hours a week plus overtime in a warehouse barely making ends meet, no girlfriend, rented accommodation, the usual depressing life. Then I see a DSP video and I laugh my tits off thinking about how lucky I am to not be that sad sack of human feces.

What was your favorite Phil gameplay fail moment? Mine was when he was playing GTA Liberty city stories where he crashed a car driving into a narrow alley, barely survived the crash, got a shotgun, then ran into traffic and got run over by the guy he needed to kill. 1. Become a popular success
2. Lose viewership, get no support, fail off the site
3. Leave the site and streaming, whether by choice or because of failure, and go get a real job and live in the real world.
I'll leave you to determine which group is the most successful and brings the most happiness long-term, and which group guys like DSP, Wings and all them will never be a part of.

@Clarence Boddicker I'm a firm believer that college is worthless for most professions. I got my associate's and bailed when the economy was in the crapper in 2009-10. I refused to take out student loans and that was the best decision I made. I am so glad I saw through the BS colleges were peddling back then.

I've been subscribed to you since you had 26k subscribers I learned about DSP's existence from you and was dumbfounded that DSP managed to stay around for that long being like this.
And now, years later this dude is still going on. We will all be long dead and DSP will still be online complaining to our aging grandkids that is has been a slow stream.

The main way that DSP has survived is because at any one time, he has around 3 major whales throwing cash at him behind the scenes, plus many of the people who make content about him, financially support him too. A lot of his regular donors are the people who exploit him for views.
If you see those YT guys who do nothing but put out DSP content while having subscriptions, tip buttons, merch stores, patreons, and wishlists, chances are they are paying Phil some money, as they can't have him totally fold up and quit.
Also, a lot of the people who heavily support the DSP detractors used to be Phil supporters and whales, and they turned against Phil, but as they are used to throwing cash at people they like, they started whaling and supporting for his detractors instead.

I'd never heard of this guy a few weeks ago but you sent me down a rabbithole.
After a lot of digging around I came across a group that managed to get a year's worth of his bankstatements from 2020 to 2021.
The lad is pulling in over 10k a month from begging online. In that period he spent, 10k on groceries, 4k on booze, 15k on federal taxes, 35k on his mortgage and 45K ON A GATCHA WWE GAME.
He's begging to fund a serious gambling addition, but unlike something like poker where you can actually make money, he's spending people's donations on wrestling cards in a game with no cash out option.
Imagine having the balls to be pulling 10k a month then going on stream and crying for money because a mobile game is having a promotion and you need money for it.
Go into his stream, and post a link to his bank statements, leave so you can't be banned. Rinse and repeat.
I just found the rabbit hole entrance a few days ago. I went inside the main hole, putting a torch outside each diverging tunnel entrance. Bam one on Tevin, Bam torch on Gundam, a few hours later I got like 8 to 10 torches up. Poked my head in each, now I'm traveling headfirst down this channel full blast. I have no idea when I'll surface. The last rabbit hole I went down that was this huge was on Chris Chan, with that I woke up months later, dirty, tired, and ashamed. But yet I return every time a certain person releases the next part of his docuseries. I'm halfway through the video and I am both amazed and in tears laughing, whenever you make a DSP video it's always a treat. The mere fact that this man has the balls to beg for money repeatedly, the way how he does and then turn around and make you the bad guy for not giving him the money sooner. Like I know there are people who are bad with money but with him even with the "charity" donations he's still ends up in massive debt. I'm going to go watch the other DSP videos you made I want to reminisce on how he managed to make a fool out of himself again.

You mentioned this during the video, but the sad part about Phil is he was there at the beginning of youtube and just REFUSED to adapt or evolve. Viewers were telling him he needed to switch from the webcam set up to a capture card. Hell, there was a time where I defended him from the detractors. He's saved me some money and sold me on some games with his playthroughs. It's like watching old yeller limp into the grave

DSP has always been a trash person..
He mentioned all of that in the first DSP video. No point stating it all again. he went into great detail about how DSP refused to adapt and would insult and flame people in chat telling him he needed to update his setup and stuff. He's always been a prick, he just happened to be there at the very beginning and was doing the webcam and game thing before that became the meta (which i personally hate... i prefer no webcam and just focusing on the game rather than some streamer breaking the immersion).
