In Asia we call people by their first name. It is pointless calling people by their last name . Unlike Americans, many Asians especially Chinese and bordering countries have a limited last name list and a wide variety of first name. It isn’t like America lol

American culture tips because waiters do not make minimum wage wich is like $8.75 in most places. So a waiter makes $3.25. They live off their tips. And me personally I always leave a tip of what I make an hour. If I make $10 I leave $10. I believe this way because you go somewhere to eat mostly for half an hour to an hour and that is a good way to decide to tip. Holidays usually double of what your hourly wage is. So double of $10 would be $20. That is courtesy for those who have to work on the holiday.

On the subject of ice water. I love ice water year round. I personally only put 3 ice cubes in myself but restaurants such as fast food restaurants will add a lot of ice to give you less drink. For the most part if you order a drink at restaurant without ice it won’t be cold. I prefer cold drinks to roomtemp or hot drinks.

Being an American watching this video: I don’t think people but sugar In cereal. Or be THAT friendly. Like we don’t ask that many personal questions. I mean we smile and say hi. And if they start talking, we will answer. I mean this is just being polite. Nobody asks personal questions, this is not very accurate.

As an American- I'm not a fan of Prescott as our representative in this vid. He fits just about every sterotype for the US citizen, but it's not very real on the regular. We aren't all this dominating, or cringy with comments, or inappropriate when talking about teens, or talkative (did every comment need an illustration?)... bonus points for Kim's patience, because I would have said NOPE.

when prescott was talking about the date at 0:59 he said the the rest of the world does it wrong, when in reality the rest of the world does it right and America is the only place in the world that has the date like that. Same thing with time. like when someone says that its 18 o’ clock (18:30 which would be 6:30 in american time) Americans would say that its military time, when in reality, its the rest if the world time because the rest of the world uses that clock…..so yeaaaa prescott was wrong (aslo im not trying to offend anyone or be rude, im also American and i was simply correcting him)

Secondly, even as an adult he does not have to be vulgar or use such profanity. Just because you can does not mean you should. Also stop the entitlement with Americans do it the right way ect. We hold doors open for other and say thank you and your welcome. Some people will strike up conversations with random stranger especially if waiting in line or something. We try to treat people with kindness bc it’s the right thing to do.

The whole 🧊 thing was hilarious 🤣 Americans like their cold drinks, thats for sure. I can't even imagine drinking a warm beer or soda. OMG sugar.
