This is very British humour me and my mates talk like this all the time, it is quite deliberate.
Phil left his wife and kids after coming out as gay in his 50's... and then 'got into trouble' with a teenage boy who he got a job on the show and had 'a relationship' with.

This Morning is a daytime chat show which is aired live, it's no longer presented by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby who were in this video. It all got very messy and didn't end well. I'm not going to put any details on here but would suggest that you may want to Google their names. As for the reaction itself Jess didn't fail to disappoint, i lost count of how many times she almost slid off the chair. Thanks guys x
Probably best if you google Schofield and his brother, to be honest. EDIT: And Holly didn't want to work with him any longer in the end, and distanced herself from him.
When i was young (many years ago) the stereotypical Brit was introverted, conservative, stuffy, up tight and very much "no sex please we're British" was a describer. America was seen as our open, brash, and extrovert cousin. HOW things have changed. It's a complete 180 now. Anything goes here and America has become what we once were known for. It's an incredible turnaround for our two different societies. Almost none of our popular TV would be allowed on American screens now.

@@vaudevillian7 That's not the case at all. "Free love" and the home of "adult" entertainment was born in the USA. How many British "adult" movies do you think you could rent from a video store here in the UK in the 80's? NONE. ALL were made in the USA. Most weren't even legal here and sold "under the counter" because of our strict laws at the time. Strip clubs were not a thing here in the USA they were everywhere as were adult theatres. I first visited the USA in 1982 and my eyes were opened. It was like another world with the freedoms on offer.
Now The US is timid compared to how it once was. "free speech" is a charade. as are most freedoms of expression. Americans are now easily insulted, canceled or having to hide their personalities to conform.
Did you know that there is only one country on the entire planet that has enacted more new laws in the last 10 years that remove peoples freedoms than the USA? That country is China.
I have lived through this sismic change of attitudes. It's real.

Holly had to leave the show after jumping the line at the Queens lying in state. People were waiting in line for up to eight hours to pass by the coffin. Apparently she got a special celebrity treatment. There was a petition signed by over half a million to get her dismissed from presenting the show. She hasn't been seen on TV for well over a year.
To be fair, she left when there was a plot to kidnap and murder her, she did so for her own safety and the man is now in jail. He had attempted to kidnap other women before also!

@@johnnyenglish33 I know what what the scandal was. However they also had ‘queuegate’ before that, and then the stalker thing that ended Holly’s time. And then there were the issues around Eamon and Ruth also. So it was not a happy camp for a while there.
The two presenters are no longer presenting after Schofield had allegations made against him by a boy who was under 16. Big scandal in the UK at the time
he wasn't underage, he was 20, but he did work for the same company and Phil kept it secret.

@@scotmax8426Phil befriended Matt when he was 15, whilst I don’t know what form that friendship took some alleged after 16 it was more than plutonic, which of course is legal. Phil got him the job at This Morning.
I don't think the relationship started when he was underage but the scandal was because he knew him when he was so accusations of grooming were made
The guy wasn’t underage, he worked on the show, but there was an obvious age difference and power dynamic. I think one of Holly’s main gripes is they were BFFs, she knew he was closeted with a wife and kids etc, but he never spoke of the affair with the young guy which just screams “I know this is wrong so I won’t even tell those I trust most”
Ignore all the crazy scandals....just watch all the funny compilation videos - you'll be laughing all the way through! They still make me cry laughing every time!!

This morning has been running every weekday morning for nearly 40 years! Unfortunate Phil was outed as liking borderline consenting men despite supposedly being happily married for decades. Holly didn't last much longer post his departure. BTW they hosted another prime time show together called dancing on ice.

Ruth and Eamonn (the chinese takeaway segment) - husband and wife team, are now going through an acrimonious divorce....Ah, in the rocky road of daytime TV and media celebrity. He also does a funny show with Gordon Ramsey and Fred siriac (from first dates) and they travel around different places together in a motorhome. And there is quite a few laughs aswell
Turns out that apart from the scandal, Schofield treated everyone like crap and behaved completely differently from his on screen persona!

Oohh this one is a controversial choice after Phil & Holly's various scandals. Started with jumping ' Queuey II ' and it's been a downward spiral ever since 😬
I preferred Phil & Fern for giggles.
Search for the italian guy about his grandma having wheels. You WON'T be disappointed. Not innuendo, but hilarious nevertheless.
This Morning is all but dead in the water due to the behaviour of Phillip Schofield. He met a young man when the lad was circa 15years of age and took him under his wing. The lad wanted a position in television so Phillip arranged for him to be taken on as a runner. The Network (ITV) paid for numerous taxis to ferry the lad to Phillip's hotel room and then claimed they had no knowledge of any improprieties (Schofield brother is a convicted paedophile). Schofield announced he and the lad were having a relationship, he ditched his wife and kids and came out as gay (strong suspicions the lad was under age when the affair started but has a gag order paid for by Schofield). Holly hid the truth, she did say she was unaware but as she had had holidays with Phillip and the boy, she would have to be totally dumb not to have suspected, especially knowing he was gay. Both have left the show, Phillip is out of work, Holly is struggling to find a vehicle that suits her limited talents.
Both left under a cloud and now hate each other.

So much has happened to the show since. Holly & Phil no longer present. Ruth & Eamonn ("I'm going to take you round the back!") are in the middle of an acrimonious divorce. Holly was the subject of a stalker who planned to kidnap her, so she left the show. Viewing numbers have fallen off a cliff.

I miss improv tv shows. We're once common on British and Australian TV but strict schedules and ad breaks have taken it all. Natural entertainers are no longer.

Their chemistry together was absolutely amazing but sadly no more, as a result of a fall out following Philip being caught up in a sex scandal and eventually “coming out”. His career is effectively over now, having first made his name as a programme link for children’s tv, with his sidekick Gordon T Gopher, a hand puppet. He also has an amazing voice, having starred on the West End stage in the leading role of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. He has also presented a game show called The Cube and various other things. ❤
British Morning TV died during COVID - It just became a shit tonne of controversy... and it's a crying shame because it's crap now.
These 2 were the best hosts. They had great chemistry. Unfortunately, Phillip was a victim of a big media witch hunt, which also took Holly out, the 2 presenters that talked about the Chinese in the kitchen, were husband and wife, and did the show on a Friday, for Holly and Phill's day off, they resented them for being the main hosts and added fuel to the fire of the witch hunt.

@EarthlyEden1 The underage boy was said to be 20 before they got into a relationship and has never raised a complaint or claimed to be a victim. A lot of speculation claiming he was groomed but don't think any law was broken.

You guys really need to see the one where they showed kids drawings that were a little "suggestive". Holly loses it.
The has been so many great moments from the This Morning show over the years. Now sadly tarnished from that bi groomer and his enabling assistant Willoughby.
Also really funny from this show is a couple of compilations of childrens drawings sent in by the parents. i swear if she wasnt sitting down you would see Holly lose control of har bladder. Also the day Phillip tried the hottest One Chip Challenge and more recntly a prank played on one of the new presenters Alison Hammond who used to take over when Holly was away. Holly & Phil are no longer the Morning duo due to a scandal involving Phil. I view these clips differently now, let's put it that way. They were funny; 'were' being the operative word. Gino is naturally funny and has a show with Gordon Ramsey & someone else who's name escapes me, where they travel around & get to act like kids - that's funny & so far no scandals!!
