Some of the information I have researched that asains want white skin not just pale the ideal is to look like a European from videos I've seen including thin pointy nose and coloured eye's and yes people in America come in all shapes and sizes and colours. Everywhere has a standard of looks which is considered ideal America is no different and white is still seen as ideal in America especially in the entertainment industry people don't like admitting that but it's true.

I like how they talked about how both images for the men were unhealthy, but I wish they had addressed that for the women, too. Unless you’re naturally very skinny (which there are people out there who are!) getting to that physicality can be extremely unhealthy, and when it’s pushed as the ideal body type, women who aren’t naturally thin may go to extreme unhealthy lengths to achieve it. As for the curvy ideal in the US, a lot of the “extreme hourglass” body types we see in the media are completely manufactured, whether due to plastic surgery, stomach surgery, or being rich enough to have personal trainers and nutritionists.
While it’s okay to have preferences that you personally find yourself attracted to, I think we need to keep diversifying the body types we view as appealing in media. I’ve been seeing that more and more in the US, especially in clothing ads, but since I don’t live in Korea I have no idea if the same thing is happening in their marketing.

The American guy is saying some true stuff. Videos like this always put Kylie Jenner’s body as the “ideal” body in America but her body isn’t that common because it’s plastic surgery. I’ve heard many more people say they like Kendall’s figure and of course there are other types and preferences. Same with the man I know no one who has said their ideal type is a body builder doesn’t mean that all people don’t like that figure but just saying it’s unrealistic.
Kylies body isn’t unrealistic but yes few people in America have it. But it is common in places like west and South Africa. And right now the most preferred body by men and women is “thick”. But preferences usually aren’t real meaning that you’ll still like other things.
